C: drive guard fill due to Mozilla Crash Reports
Hello
Recently, my C: drive keeps filling due to the huge amounts of Crash Reports generated by Mozilla. In a couple of hours use I'm filling 2-3 GB of space.
I've identified the culprits are ' * .dmp ' files located in c:\Documents and Settings\Myusername\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\pending.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but the problem is still there. I have never had this problem before, but noticed that my C: drive has started to encounter this problem when I added "Ghostery" and "Blocker of Script" as add-on.
I disabled the blocker script, but that did not help either. Can someone please advise as to why Firefox started to create thousands of dump files at all of a sudden?
Thank you
OK well first off the power, remove your anti-virus. I don't know why it appears in there but iolo is not a good anti-virus. We are going to use something like Microsoft security essentials.
After that uninstall the Google Talk plugin. You should be able to do it from the windows control panel.
Now, restart your computer, you still crashes? If this is not the case, try reinstalling google talk and see if it happens again.

After getting this repeatedly, I uninstalled FireFox and downloaded (using IE) a current clean version of FireFox for your Web site. I have the same problem. I use Norton as my security suite. I also ran Malwarebyte s and the Norton Power Eraser. Still have the problem. Help!
Hi, looking more closely at these reports, it seems that this may be caused by external software on the computer. go to your control panel and remove all software labled "Freecorder" or similar, or by the Publisher "Applian Technologies" or any other toolbars.

Cannot open Firefox: Mozilla Crash Reporter
Recently, I have updated my firefox but in a few hours, it has stopped working. I constantly get a "Mozilla Crash Reporter" who says:
"We are sorry".Firefox has been a problem and crashed. We will try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts.

It offers the possibility to restart, but when I click on "Restart Firefox" the same window pops up again and again and again.
I tried restarting, open in safe mode, scans (I have Norton 360), running and system restore. Something to do with mozilla does not open, and I don't mean to uninstall because I have all my favorites in Firefox.

Firefox blocks - Fresh install resulting in Mozilla Crash Reporter
Newly installed Firefox and it does not start! Safe mode works and I tried the list "Firefox blocks - troubleshoot, prevent and get help fixing crashes" solutions without success.
There is an add-on called HP Smart Web Printing 4.60 listed as being incompatible with Firefox 37.0.1, which I deleted. Did not work.
I then disabled / set to never activate all plugins listed. Nothing helps.

Why firefox doesn't answer after that I submit my crash report?
When I open Mozilla, Mozilla's Crash report screen comes up. After I sent the report, another Mozilla Crash report screen appears asking to send another report. I have dk what crash ID is. When I go to the summary report, it is incredibly long.

Hmm, this is her nasty. We will see if we cannot solve it.
I would need a few details to help better, if the solutions below does not work. I need to know what options are selected in the reporter on the accident, and one of the crushing of the reports will also be very useful - don't you worry that it's long, useful data on why this happens can probably be found somewhere in there. See the Mozilla Crash Reporter article on how to find reports, "Reports outside Firefox display" section points to where you can find the reports.
But first, lets see if we can not get Firefox started without crashing - here is a link explaining how to start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. Make sure that no instance of Firefox is running before you start Firefox Safe Mode - you can check this by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up the Task Manager, and under processes tab verify that there are no firefox.exe in the list. If there is, highlight it with the mouse and kill the process. Then start Firefox in Mode safe of Firefox as explained in this article.
For a first try, just to click on the button 'Continue in Mode safe' and see if Firefox starts.
If this brings Firefox to life, it is probably an extension, a theme (or a combination) causing accidents. Close Firefox and restart in Safe Mode and this time mark "Disable all add-ons" and click the make changes and restart"" button. This will disable all add-ons (extensions, themes and plugins) and restart Firefox in normal mode. If it starts, you can start allowing your modules one by one to find the cause of the accident.
When you have found the culprit add-on, you can again start Mode without failure of Firefox and disable all add-ons and then start Firefox in normal mode, uninstall the fisherman and reactivate all your other addons. Please post back here on the problematic add-on information (and all the details, you can find about it), so it can be studied further.
Let me know how the above work, and if I can be of further assistance. Detailed feedback is appreciated and helps us help more users with similar problems.

I do experience every day of many mozilla crashes. It becomes a real problem.
My Mozilla crashes several times a day. No matter if I have 1 tablet or more open.
Hi rosemarybales,
Let me clarify this point.
COR - el suggests to disable the pref in topic: config. Subject: config is built in page which you can access as you would any Web site regularly. Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER. The page opens with a warning saying this will void your warranty. Check the box (if it is not selected), then click on "I'll be careful, I promise!
When you reach this page, you can search the pref cor - el mentioned using the search box on the top. The pref is browser.taskbar.lists.enabled then type in the search field.
Once you do, it will come to the top, double click it so that it turns "BOLD" and indicates the value false.
Restart Firefox. It's working now?
The option suggests Philipp is to create a new profile. Pretty simple.
1. open the Profile Manager (first close Firefox)- Hold down the Windows of your keyboard, and then press the R button while holding the Windows key and your Run commandbox opens.
- Type (with Firefox closed) firefox.exe Pei
- The Profile Manager opens. Click on create a new profile and go through the guests.
- Once this is done, open the profile again Manager and launch Firefox via the newly created profile.
