C75 - A satellite does not start on battery alone

Hi all!

Let me explain my problem:

I own a * Toshiba satellite C75 - A *. It's quite recent (to 1 year) with windows 8.1 running.

I can start it on diet, it works perfectly. Battery inserted or not, all right.

But the problem is when I try to start with the battery only. Indeed, nothings happen. Except a little sound when I press the power button. LED lights for a second, then nothing.

The battery seems to work very well. When it is started on windows, the battery is being charged (100%). And if there is a stop for food or if you unplug the power supply, the battery takes the hand. And the battery seems to have a normal life expectancy.

I tried to remove the battery, unplug the power cord and hold the power button / stop for several minutes, then plug it in again. But nothing has changed.

I've updated the BIOS, because I saw that was recommended. Nothing has changed.

I browsed this forum hoping to help, but I can't find anything that worked.
I have my apologies in advance if there was already a post about it, I searched but didn't find it.

Some of you can help me to hope.

In any case, have a nice day!

From my point of view of the little battery isn't recognized when the laptop is in stop mode.
The battery is recognized only if Windows system has already started upward

I can't say with certainty why the battery isn t recognized before starting the system, but it could be possible that this battery is malfunctioning.
Of course, it is my personal opinion but it s advisable to test another battery of good work and compatible.

    Glenn,

The server is maybe out of service.  I reported the problem with the web page.  Yours is not the only page not available at the moment - something's up.

  • Satellite L300D does not start on battery, adapter needs to start

    Hello!
I have my Satellite L300D since April last year, and suddenly my laptop does not start when the network adapter is not connected. Says battery 100% (full charge), when I am connected and started the system.

Anyone any idea why my laptop no start on battery alone?

I've already updated the BIOS to version 1.50, but it does not change a thing!

(My warranty until April, so should I send in for service?)

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hello!

In your case I go for a local ASP (authorized service provider) and allow to check your laptop computer of these technicians.
I think that it s a hardware problem, maybe the battery is defective and if you can just start the laptop with AC/DC adapter.

    Good bye

XP on M30X will not start after battery was flat! Safe mode, last work... nothing works!
The restore CD offers 3 options1: new installation, 2 toshiba recovery utility (expert mode) und 9 output.

How do the XP Recovery console, or how to use 2 to restore the system without losing any files.

    Thanks for the tips.
    It is a nite Mare...

    Wolf
    Good day

The point is that the Toshiba Recovery CD does not have the Windows XP repair console.
The restore CD contains the image of Toshiba and you can just reinstall the system on the HARD drive and no repair.

Now you have 2 options of recovery.
First called standard recovery option would be to format the entire HARD drive and reinstalling the image.
The second option called recovery expert allows you to reinstall the operating system on a selected partition. Then only this partition will be formatted.

If you do not want to format the whole HARD drive then you select the second option and select the partition to a new operating system.

  • Tecra A6 does not start with battery only

    Hi all
I'm having a strange problem with a Tecra A6 I picked up recently at the refurb because it does not start with a battery only: it starts only when / sector is also connected, but eventually DΘmarrer on battery alone (and works fine) with the power cord removed shortly after pressing the power button. It's just on battery alone, I get no answer by pressing the power on button (so the power outlet must be set at this first stage or I don't get anything).

Now I'm wondering if maybe it's the battery voltage? It seems that there are 2 options for this model, a 10.8 v and the other at 11.1V. With loaded Windows and Hardware Monitor reports running the battery is at 0% wear level and cool until completely (so I don't think that the battery is faulty), but it indicates that the battery is running at * 11, 1V, * but the battery installed is actually the * model 10.8v*. Could that prevent any power on only to batteries?

More information on the model I have:
    Tecra A6-PTA60E-0EJ013EN
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 Ghz
    2 GB of Ram.

Thanks in advance for any help on this one. Essential, I would like to know is if I have a 11.1V battery to run this model correctly (and get it) on battery alone. If the voltage makes no difference so I guess it must be a weird motherboard problem and I need bother not buy a new battery.

    > Will have to buy another battery and see if the same thing happens (I'll know then if it is the motherboard), but in the meantime if anyone can let me know if the voltage is serious I would appreciate it.

To my knowledge, the batteries for Tecra A6 should take in charge 10.8V
There's piles more strong for example 5200mAh but the voltage must be the same 10.8

  • M - series of satellites does not start successfully

    Hello

I have the following problem: all of a sudden (don't know why, nothing has changed) portable Satellite shows black white screen with all the following:

    (Sorry, translated from German):

Windows does not started correctly... due to software or hardware change... If the error was due to stop pls choose last functional configuration...

But this does not, as all the other options (windows boot as normal starting point, in safe mode... has failed.

    No idea what happenend!

    Problem:

Actually moved to another country and you have forgotten or lost the recovery CD! already contacted Toshiba for the nine, but perhaps when even someone can help?

If all goes well it s not a malfunction of the equipment.
In any case, in the first stage, you should try to reinstall the OS to see if this problem is software or hardware related.

  • C50-A0113 satellite does not start in windows

    Hello.

    I have a toshiba satellite laptop C50-A0113 8 64-bit windows running.

Ive had exactly two years a few days ago I restarted and then when it starts up, it stops at the screen "Toshiba leading innovation" and then he said: scanning and repair drive C, while on this screen it starts the process and then stops at 34%.

It was two days ago now it just gets stuck on the "screen toshiba innovation leader" and then after a few minutes, it says preparation auto repair.

Then he leaves the screen and goes to a screen black for a few minutes then flashes the blue screen written "your computer has encountered a problem" then restarts.

I tried to create a bootable windows disc 8 in order to repair, but it does not start even in the usb port.
I restart and press f12 to select the media to begin. It checks the media goes to the toshiba screen, then everything goes black for a few minutes until what it restarts.

Can I please know what is the problem and how can I possibly fix it because the problem is clearly not my hard drive.

I have removed and put into another laptop and it was fine

    Hello

If you want to start Notepad using external media (such as a CD or USB flash memory key) you must disable the secure in the BIOS boot option.

If you want to install Win 7, you must also pass the CSM mode UEFI Boot Mode.

For me it of not quite clear if you created the recovery media (flash memory stick or disk)

If you created one in the past, you could use this recovery media to put the laptop back to factory settings.

In the case where this is not possible, some of the material (perhaps HDD) could be affected.

  • C870-19(r) satellite does not start with the new SSD

    Hello

I will update the Toshiba Satellite C870 19(r) with a Pro 840 Samsung SSD, but it does not start.

    He said: not found system.

    Post edited by: joch333n

None found system means that there is no system installed on the SSD drive...

    What you trying to do?
You start from a disk in order to install the new system?

In this case, you should disable startup secure in the BIOS.
I also recommend moving from UEFI mode MSC!

  • A series of satellite does not start after the BIOS update

After update bios with the downloaded utility my laptop does not start.
Do you have this case covered by the warranty?

I'm not sure if this would be covered by the warranty. You must contact the ASP in your country for details, but I assume that it s not covered.

PS: Did you try this work around:
-remove the battery, disconnect the adapter
    -wait ~ 40 min
-connect the two devices again and try to turn on the laptop

  • My C50 - B Satellite does not start from the HARD drive

    Details of the machine: -.

    Model number: PSCMLA-03F07Q
    Serial number: XE343127P

Computer does not start from hard drive. No error message, just the start Toshiba at the end of self-test screen.

Sometimes a reinstall of the operating system seems to correct the problem, but then he would go again, now the problem is consistent.

I reduced the possibilities to a fault of BIOS, reasons.

System boots from USB with no problems. Installation of operating systems is done without error. SMART hard drive data indicates a perfectly healthy hard drive. Memcheck will return no error.

The obvious solution is to reload the BIOS, just reset it doesn't help. But that is the problem.

1.4 BIOS update that the Australian site offers is a Windows program and the computer cannot start Windows.

Obvious answer is to use a bootable USB key with an operating system 'live' on this issue, but all of these systems are Linux and the update of the BIOS is a Windows program. So much for smart solutions.

Downloaded Bios version 1.7 of the European site but the iso inside the rar file is empty, 25 MB in size but nothing in there according to Linux. Tried to run his program on a Win7 64 bit computer and it returns an error that it could not find the correct iso file.

I submitted a support request by email to Toshiba, but they believe that it could take three days to get a response, so I thought I would ask here as well. Can someone tell me please to a working copy of the latest BIOS update disk for a laptop Satelite C50 - B? Note: this model does not have a CD player so iso should be compatible with USB boot.

    See you soon,.

    Andrew.

    Hello

From my experience that I n think that BIOS update is the final solution for you. When you set the default settings of the BIOS disk HARD appears correctly in the BIOS settings?
HARD drive is also offered and listed as boot device when you enter in the start using F12 at startup menu?

What happens when you start using recovery image installation created recovery USB key (I hope that you have created a)?

Offer BIOS updates are versions of WIN and can be performed by running the Windows operating system.

  • C50-A-19 t satellite does not start with the battery mounted

    OK, first post here.

I see similar questions coming, but as they are never QUITE the same, I am that posing in a new thread.

I left my Satellite from one day to the next (do not remember if I had put off, or he simply had 'gone to sleep', but it has been connected to the grid).

When I got to reboot, I got a power light on, but screen blank (black). After reading a few similar complaints on the internet (via another laptop!), I tried to remove the battery and power from the grid.
This worked well (I write him in this state right now).

But whenever I put the battery and try again, it will fail in the same way.
I tried this company "press and hold power for 30 seconds" without success (but I'm not 100% sure of the EXACT procedure actions sequence).

    I have a few questions:

    (1) I take the laptop away from my office - is there a problem with everything just works like this (i.e. of the grid, with no battery inserted) indefinitely?

    (2) in any case, I want to solve the problem.
If the battery has run COMPLETELY flat, and that the laptop can not it lights but also operate normally?

Alternatively, is probably that the battery has not experienced a catastrophic failure and simply needs to replace?
If so, I'll just buy a. BUT...

What I don't want to do, is to pay for a costly spare battery, to find that it was actually another factor at the origin of the problem, and I'm back to square one and out of Pocket!

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Thank you

    Mike

    Hello

According to your assignment, in most cases, you use the laptop connected to the power adapter but no battery. Is this correct?

First we need to know that if the AC adapter is plugged in, the laptop should work correctly with - and without inserting the battery.
If you unplug the AC adapter, the laptop should automatically switch to battery power. In this case, it is important that the battery is pretty cool power to provide the power for the laptop.
In case the battery is empty, the laptop will not light.

I recommend to insert the battery plug the power adapter and charge the battery for a longer period of time.

You should also check if the battery is recognized by the Windows system and the battery charge indicator (battery in the taskbar icon) shows the State of battery charge.

In case the battery is fully charged and the laptop does not work using the battery power only, you should test the new battery.
If new battery does not solve the problem, s for laptop hardware needs an audit.

  • L775-11N satellite does not power ON battery new

    Hello

I recently bought a new battery for my Toshiba Satellite L775 11N.

When I plug in the battery, the battery led blinking stars (according to the manual, it means that the battery has any energy and does not load).

When it is plugged in, I cannont start the computer, I have to take and put it after.

What can I do to make my battery work?
This is the second I buy, from two different sites, the number of model is strictly the same.

Thanks in advance, sorry for my bad English (french is my mother tongue)

    Hello

    > This is the second I buy, from two different sites, the number of model is strictly the same.
The part number on the label may be the same, but probably isn t product Toshiba genuine battery.
You probably bought some cheap battery China labeled as a real framework for this model of laptop.

    > What can I do to make my battery work?
You have some many options. If the battery isn't fully compatible and does not, you would need to replace it.

  • L50-B-1NL satellite does not start the system

My son 2 week old laptop is more load Windows.

When it turn it on the Toshiba start screen comes on then it starts to "diagnose you PC ' which does nothing for awhile then comes up with"Windows could not load properly and the option restore then returns to the start screen.

I went to the bios and loaded default installation but containing the foregoing. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Turn on the device, press F12
Now you should see a Start Menu screen.
Last option should be HDD Recovery

Access the HARD drive recovery menu and choose troubleshoot
Then Advanced Options and auto repair

If this does not work, try refreshing the PC (without losing files)
If that doesn't work, reset the PC (will remove all files and set the notebook to factory settings)

  • Satellite 2450-201 does not start with battery power

Can someone help please, I can not turn on with the battery at all. When you plug the AC, the laptop powers up without problem. And after the intitial power on, I can get to the battery without any problem. But it won't let me power up via the battery at all.
Can someone advice, is there some settings that will help or do I need a new battery?

    Hello

What about the battery charge status?
    The battery is fully charged?

Try unplugging the power adapter and remove the battery from the laptop for a several times (15-30 min) and then reconnect the battery and try to turn on the laptop.

I also think that you should check if the problem also occurs with the new power supply. Eventually, there is something wrong with the battery, and you need a new.

Sorry for these general suggestions but you know, we can only speculate about the problems.
