  Thanks again, Todd.  I have found a workaround and Walter Soyka simultaneously ID had the problem - set up, they seem to be a bug in AE when followed 3D clips time-reversed.  Easy enough to fix once identified and hopefully fixable in future app updates.  Details here:

  Since your iSight webcam works up to the time that your Mac goes to sleep, I would like you to start please help desk trying to replicate this problem then to reboot in safe mode:

  1. Choose the Apple menu > shut down.

  2. After your Mac stops, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

  3. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.

     You must press the SHIFT key as soon as possible once you hear the startup tone, but not before.

  4. Release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

  To exit safe mode, restart your Mac, but no press during the startup.

  OS X El Capitan: start in safe mode

  It will not work. You have pictures of ghosts in there due to the variable framerates in your bullet-time / slow-mo and it completely havok with the logic of temporal coherence. It might be possible if you captured the shot at regular, fixed framerates and then it slowed down in AE, but even in this case, you will need to do the most compatible motion as not to approach objects until they appear full screen.

  This does not sound like a glitch, it sounds like user error caused by small misunderstanding of the works of the tracking camera. The only thing the camera tracker adds to keyframes are the camera. It calculates the angle of view, the camera position and camera movements. When you take markers they need to be in the same plane as the object in the scene. For example, if you had a few markers followed on an object that was 4 feet in front of the camera and a few other markers on an object that was 20 feet from the camera and allowing you this markers to add a solid and a solid camera wouldn't fit to objects in the scene, it would float between them and probably look a little weird. Also be careful of lens distortion because the AE camera is ideal.
