  last week, I found my old camileo s10 that I him have not used for a year or two, so I guess the battery was completely dead and unusable.

  However I found a charger that has mounted the camcorder, it may not have been that which is expected but when it is plugged into an outlet an orange light appears around the record button.

  However, after charging for two days in a row, the camcorder appears not functional even if the orange light remains constant when charging.

  If the battery is OK, it should be possible to load.
  The camcorder must be decommissioned: flashing light confirms the load, but the light is constant when the load was over.

  In your case, it might be possible that the battery is defective and, therefore, it of not possible to load.

  I have the same problem with a friend * rodarko * ([m-169634]). I saw that his thread, but no one since now you have a solution. I will try to describe my exact problem.

  When I record in 16:9 full HD, everything looks ok. But when I try to play on my computer with Arcsoft drive, some files are read 16:9 and other 4:3 are played.

  I am also a user of the S10. I've done 10 movies in Full HD and watched them then on my laptop.
  All movie files were held in the same format (4:3).
  I recorded in 'normal' and 'macro' - mode, with a SD and SDHC-card and there is no difference.
  I played the files with the player and Arcsoft with VLC Player and both played all files in 4:3.

  Were done, you've played your files? On the screen of a laptop or screen connected to the computer (DVI, VGA or HDMI)?
  Have you tried to read files with another player (VLC or something else)?

  I didn t find updates the firmware on page Toshiba unlike any new firmware has been released for the Camileo S10.

  But are you sure you used a proper procedure to remove the single movie?
  The user manual says:

  (1) use up/down to select the delete option
  (2) button press OK to get the Delete menu
  (3) use the left/right keys to select the movie
  (4) use button to delete all the films or the down button to remove the unique animation. OR the record/play button to exit
  (5) before the film is deleted, a confirmation screen will appear
  (6) button press OK to validate the setting

  Note: If a memory card is inserted, you can delete only the movies stored on the card
  Movies on a map written protected memory cannot be deleted!
  The function delete erases only unlocked movies. Locked movies must be released before it will be deleted!

• Camileo S10 freeze everytime I try to record videos

  I just bought the Camileo S10 and it does everything just for me. Everytime I try to record video, it freezes just straight up. All the buttons are non-functional, and the only way to turn it off, is to remove the battery!

  I tried it without any SD card in it, with a 4 GB Kingston and a Kingston 512 MB. Nothing works!

  I just got my Camileo S10 purchased from an online retailer.
  I chose the S10 because everywhere on the web, nobody said that it records. Files MOV, which is perfect for me because I'm ready to modify the records on my Mac with iMovie.

  First test: I have recorded a few clips on SD card and memory of the internet and watch them on my TV. High quality, nothing to say so far.

  I downloaded the manual for this camcorder S10 and the page 42 says that the camcorder support these file formats:

  * Movie: MOV *.

  It seems that the MOV format is supported

• Problem loading Camileo S10

  Hi all users of Toshiba!

  I just bought a camera, Camileo S10, and it seems apretty nice, small and light. But he does not seem to charge the battery, or power on. Here's how I did:

  (1) I removed the insulation of the battery and put it again, the closure case.
  (2) I plugged it with its own charger, using the USB connector.
  (3) the LED ring around the "Record" button will light up (but flashes as stated in the manual).
  (4) when 5 minutes pass, the LED turns off and never turns on again.

  Is this a normal behavior? Because when I try to turn on the camera, there simply nothing. I tried to reverse the LCD and also tried with the power button, with unplugged USB charger. Device does not react. When I turn on with charger plugged works correctly.

  The new battery is completely empty!
  Therefore, you must leave the battery connected to the power supply for a long time.

  Now, when I start the camera, it is very slow to start and operate (a few second delay for each operations).

  I think you should try to format the card CD and it should check again.

  Have you contacted an authorized service provider? They can order all the original parts of Toshiba and perhaps for camcorders too. Just ask for it. :)
