Can I plug into my notebook to AC while running on battery?

I have a new HP Pavilion g6z laptop.  My question is General in nature, so I don't know the specs of the laptop.  My question is, can I plug into my notebook to acre while running on battery power, or should I shut it down first?  I would be plugged into a UPS device, so what matters.

Thanks, Terry

Hello Terry,

There is no problem at all with the connection of the AC adapter when the laptop is running - you can also unplug the adapter when the laptop is running.

Regards as always,.

A laser printer can be plugged into a power strip?

    Here's the question.

A typical wall outlet is rated at 15 watts max, but you should only put about 80 percent of this amount on the circuit as a constant pull then 12-13 watts is the actual amount of the charge, you will place it on one shot. You might get an occasional brief increased load when a device such as a printer laser heated.

Laser printers pull a lot of power when the fuser unit, heating, so you should gave them a plug dedicated to the extent possible.

If you put a printer into a power strip, then the band must be plugged into a wall outlet and the printer should be the only thing plugged into the power strip.

End check model of your laser printer and find the data sheet and see how much current it draws pulling maximum amount, if it is 12 or 13 amp, then you really should have a dedicated socket or a power strip plugged into the Jack with nothing else on this subject.

  • Power adapter can remain plugged in or not?

    Hello!

I have Toshiba Satellite A10. Can a power adapter stay connected to the power supply and the computer all the time (24/7) or disconnect every night? How, it would be preferable to battery?

I wish that, because of the good battery works.

PS Sorry for my English, I'm Russian.

    Hello Francis,.

said that the adapter should be disconnected during charging the battery in the portable professional past.

But today, the battery can be plugged into the hole day. The current batteries are fine and the AC adatper and software are also "smart." When the battery is fully charged, the software stops the loading process.

As long as you have an HDMI cable to connect your XBOX 360 console to your 2301 x monitor, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not synchronize with the USB cable plugged into charge pod

    Hello

I read on the web site of shopblackberry.com, in the details of charge pod ( http://www.shopblackberry.com/_blackberryaccessories/cgi-bin/pd.cgi?frompage=category&page=product_d... ) that the pod can handset with charger travel or data cable for charge and/or sync with a BlackBerry smartphone. So, my question is related on a problem or a misunderstanding of me to this description.

I want to know if we could recharge and synchronize the BlackBerry via USB cable or is only responsible for the BlackBerry when connected that way. My second question is, is it possible to synchronize the BlackBerry with the USB cable plugged into the pod or not?

Because I got a request from one of my users about the fact that his BlackBerry 9000 can not synchronize when it is on his group.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

It's a loading dock. It is useful, because just drag you your "BOLD" in there and it will load (just like the 8300 Curve).
If you want to synchronize, you can plug a usb on the side of the appliance cord. This can be done while the machine is in its dock, where the description.

I have the same crib, but for the 8300. It's really worth buying. I'm happy with it every day.

There seems to be something that is changed with iOS modified 10 power requirements for the load.

No idea when or if things will change, so all users can make use of the work load by plugging into the wall.

Sorry, but I've never used an external USB wifi antenna but if you describe your use case a wifi Repeater/Extender can be a good option for you. https://www.repeaterstore.com/pages/WiFi-booster-Repeater-Extender-differences

If the option is not a Repeater/Extender so will have to wait for someone who has used an external USB antenna down to.

  • My old iphone 6s is completely broken, it does not or registry that it is connected when plugged into a computer. I'm able to recover photos from the SIM card with an adapter USB SIM card or through any other way?

My old iphone 6s is completely broken, it does not or registry that it is connected when plugged into a computer. I'm able to recover photos from the SIM card with an adapter USB SIM card or through any other way? I also do not save anything with AllAccess, icloud, or through my computer as you would with a digital camera.

The photos are not stored on the sims, sorry.

You can always try the Recovery Mode, little to lose at this point. If it doesn't, I suggest taking it to an Apple Store for testing.

    Recovery mode:

    Turn off your iOS device.

Plug charge cable to the computer only (not to the device yet).

    Open iTunes on your computer.

Hold the button to power on your device and do not let go.

Plug the cable into the device while keeping the power button.

Wait for the computer to detect the device and wait that he eat.

Restore as New first, then restore sauvegardΘ if you wish.

  • Why many cinema screens have half-a-block of pine, to plug into the full-size DVI connector?

Why have the many Cinema Display (especially the 2005-20-inch model) half-a-block of pine, to plug into the DVI-connector socket full large?

The other half-a-block of pines just doesn't seem to be there?

    DVI can be single-link or dual-link.  Resolution higher than 1020 x 1200 need dual-link.

    http://www.showmecables.com/images/catalog/product/DVIQA.jpg

Sometimes simple link devices and cables use dual-link connectors, but with no wires connected to the pins double link, if you can not tell if something is dual-link just by looking at the connector.

  • Air (128 GB) iPad not charging when plugged into outlet or recognized by the pc...

but the charges when it is connected to the power supply Anker.  Using iOS 8 now.  Tried to connect it to a laptop and PC, two different outlets, two different adapters Apple iPad, a car adapter, three different cables, and I get the same result. no load or no Flash.  It seems to be a very slow load when it is connected to the power/computer Jack.  The iPad acknowledges that the cable is connected but does not load properly.  This started happening about 3 hours ago.

I spoke to Apple support, and the diagnosis showed that the battery was fine and not depleted and I had the old iOS.  That could be what is causing the problem and if so... Why now?  I can't upgrade to the new iOS until I reached 50% since it does not record it is plugged into an outlet.

In general, the load on the computer USB is slower that a wall jack - however in your case you indicated that even the outlet wasn't au. Well, if you can get the iPad to 50% and update the iOS - it is certainly useful to see if he can solve your problems. The other option would be to go back to iTunes and do a factory restore

  • Satellite L840/020 - can't get into BIOS after enabling the quick start option

I have a laptop Toshiba L840/020 (PSK8LA-020007). I recently installed a 330 Series SSD and Windows 8 Pro RTM 6.2.9200 MSDNAA on this Intel and enabled the fast boot option in the BIOS (boot speed > fast).

Now I can't get into the BIOS, no matter what I do. I tried pressing the power button / stop while pressing F2 (as suggested by a few other forums), upward on default that I tried all F and Esc keys, but nothing does. I also tried repeatedly pressing F2 during startup, plugged a USB external and supported on F2 keyboard on it, but no matter what I can't get into the BIOS.

When I go to the Toshiba support download section > 8 64 bit Windows, I see also a BIOS update for my laptop, but when I try to install I get the following error:

    Hello

First try INS then F2 key.

Then you should be able to access the BIOS, I recommend disabling the QuickStart in the BIOS if you can successfully enter the BIOS.

With regard to the update of the BIOS.
I checked the page of the Toshiba driver to THE and it seems that the BIOS v6.20 is even similar to Win 7.
I think that the BIOS update must be done running the system pre-installed Toshiba since Win 8 is not officially on the market, and to my knowledge, there are some big restrictions updated BIOS running Win 8
