OfficeJet Pro 8600 - Print margins are off, slow and noisy printing

I have problems printing my printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. When I am able to print the process is extremely slow and the printer made a lot of noise before and during printing. In addition, the margins are off compared to those on the document itself. The left margin is so great that it is cut a part of the document on the right side. I tried to unplug and restart the device and it is set back to the factory, but the questions remain. I printed a test page and it looks good, but speed, noise and margins continue to be a problem. How can I fix these problems?

Thank you!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: Printer does not print in color

I just got the color cartridges refilled at Costco. Now, my printer does not print in color.  I printed out a diagnosis and cartridges are showing that they are full.  The actual color of magenta is a deep rose, so I know that some of the magenta is crossing. Cyan (blue) and yellow printed black on diagnostic tests.  I know that Costco filled cartridges with the appropriate color because I can see the color on/in the cartridge.  Suggestions on what to try? I bought the printer on January 27, 2013.

    Hi David,

    1. what operating system is installed?

    2. what security software is installed?

You can go through the printer manual to know how to set up the printer and make it work.

You can also refer to these items and check if that helps.

OfficeJet pro 8600 print a single vertical black line when using the charger

    Hi @realestatejeann,

I see that you have found one black vertical line when using the ADF. With a few steps, we should be able to solve this problem.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  • New Premium Officejet Pro 8600 with envelopes in Tray 1 and 8.5 x 11 in tray 2 copies only to Tray 1.

New Premium Officejet Pro 8600 with envelopes in Tray 1 and 8.5 x 11 in tray 2 copies only to Tray 1.  When I try to select the tray 2 in copy options, only Tray 1 appears as a choice.  How to choose tray 2 when it is not listed and do the copy default tray?

I remember coming across this question:

    1. turn off the printer and remove the lower whole and not just the tray 2.

    2. turn on, turn off,

3 replace the tray 2 and the power up.

To enable tray 2 as default copy ferry. Go to the printer->-> select copy LCD display-> select settings-> a selected tray 2 as default.

  • How are added to the HP Officejet Pro 8600 printing solution Center

The center of printing solutions shows my Photosmart C5580.  No idea how to add an OfficeJet Pro 8600?

Shlomi Hi and thanks for a quick response.

I had hoped to add 8600 Solution Center as an HP upgrade / download link in the menu Wizard printer you mention using the icon, re - set the default printer for the "8600 Fax.

He also changed the list of this menu screen to be only four: HP printer Asst (but does nothing when a click), Set Prefs, see what printing and the printer to customize.

Previous menu, as you no doubt refers, had several printer features that included all submenu links functions, I used (including to scan a doc, preferences, etc.).  Frustrating...

After uninstalling and reinstalling, tweaking, etc, I always have this quick menu by clicking on the icon of tune.  I have tried different methods of scanning as the right click on the printer in Control Panel devices, but the scanning from which lead to a horrible list of basic functions, a confusing list of formats, etc.

Finally, I did a scan in the screen menu of the printer who made a point "scan" in the Start Menu, I right click it to pin that on the Start Menu, then created a new shortcut on the desktop with the path to him... and now the icon / printer works to get the menu scanning.  Phew!

About the loss of the Solution Center is regrettable.  Very handy tool to do the various tasks and the refinements of a scanned document that do not exist in the limited functions / buttons on the 8600 scan menu results.

At the same time and while I'm... To the laserjet subject large workhorse of HP LJet 1320, several other positions and all forums have problems loss of functionality after passage from XP to Win7.  I finally got all but one device works (PCL6/5th, printing on both sides, etc.), but the pilot is only 600 dpi quality close to the project, instead of the prior 1200 dpi (especially good for forms, thin fonts, etc..).  Which is just a discharge on the technology and support for the products that brought me as a customer to use HP in the first place.

Thanks again for your reply and your suggestions.  Ready to try anything to solve the so-called reliable downloads / upgrades.

    Best regards...

  • HP OFFICEJET PRO 8600 PRINTING GIBBERISH AT WINDOWS STARTUP

    Hi all!

My name is Steve and I have a question. I apologize in advance if I'm duplicating this question from another thread.

Our office has 3 computers connected to a router. The HP Officejet Pro 8600 is connected to the network. There is a problem with 2 of the calculated.

The question is then 2 3 computers (1 running XP Professional, 1 running Windows 7 Professional are booted up (off) to the printer start printing gibberish and going to print until its cancellation.) Printing will start until Windows has loaded the login window (user account screen).

Any suggestions? The major functions of printer for everything else.

    Hello

We use the same previous printer cable. However, we can certainly try another cable. There is no problem printing with any of the programs that we use with the exception of one of them, (known compatibility issue).

At this point, we don't know if the gibberish that prints to the windows startup is a problem with windows or perhaps the network.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Help: I changed the cartridges and they are locked (JO 6800)

I had a few problems print quality with my OfficeJet Pro 8600 and I changed the ink cartridges (950/951XL). Unfortunately, the problems are remained so, instead of buying a new printer head, I bought a new printer: a 6015 OfficeJet at Staples. First of all, I had to install the set up of the cartridges but pass them the old printer, which I had already brought to the depot of garbage to new XL versions. And guess what? The cartridges were locked! Now, I have to remove the locks in the old broken printer (what is left) or I can throw them-which is a shame because I bought the new 8615 especaially because it uses the same (expensive) XL cartridges. Please HP: help me. A loyal customer.

Any cartridge that is installed in your Officejet Pro 8600 would not be usable in another printer, including a different of Officejet Pro 8600 8600 Pro Officejet "cartridge protection" was defined.  This cannot be reset, even in the original printer.  Turning off the cartridge of the printer's built-in web server protection will not affect future cartridges installed in the machine.

Given the circumstances, I suggest call HP and ask if they can help to.  If they decline please post here and I'll see if I can help with a different approach.

You can disable the protection of the cartridge in your Pro Officejet 8615 for the future.

    Printer works fine.

However, the HP support the program "HP OfficeJet Pro 8600" will not start. I can see it in the HP folder under all programs, but clicking on the program name has no effect. The program name poins to "C:\Program HP HP Officejet Pro 8600\Bin\HP Officejet Pro 8600.exe" - UDCDevicePage Start

In addition, in devices and printers in Control Panel, the printer connected displays. By double clicking on the icon takes me to...

All these functions work fine if I call them from the physical control on the front of the printer Panel.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus backup device settings fails and hangs the printer with the CKP1CN1322CR firmware

When I was with the built-in webserver (EWS) to perform a backup, I get a message saying: "Year Error Has Occurred" and the printer would just lock up and flash lights and compel me to press the power button on the printer to reset.

I've done a few shrinking down and discovered that this happens only when the Scan-To-Email are selected to be included in the backup. I then discovered that it only happens when I have the email set to a (compressed) PDF Document Type Options.

I was able to get the backup to succeed by changing the options of Scan - To - Email Email Type of Document to PDF instead of PDF (compressed), then the backup succeeded.

In this case with the latest version of the firmware: CKP1CN1322CR.

Here's my printer information page (this could make this message other users to find more easily):

Product Name HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g
    Product Model Number CN579A
    Service ID 23220
    Firmware Version CKP1CN1322CR
    Country/Region USA

I couldn't find a place to submit a bug report, so I hope that this information gets to the right people.

Hmm, I tried this on my 8600 more Offcieejt and can confirm the same behavior, even though I have the firmware CLP1CN1322CR.  I'll forward a link to this topic to some folks at HP who can be able to focus on this.

Nice work tracking down the details to replicate that.

    Is this normal or preventable?

    Hello

I don't know why your old printer make this but all 3 printers (from 3 providers) at home do the same thing and I can access dozens more by other sellers to work and they also do the same thing.

Forward, thinking to print documents pages MULTI 2-sided, if all are facing upward, you must sort the documents by hand unless you print last page first.

    Kind regards.
