You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)

-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

  • Installed new hard drive on laptop with Windows 7 can install Windows XP on external hard drive and plug it into USB?

Original title: Win7 Pro + HD Ext different OS
I just installed a new hard drive in my laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
Would it not be possible to install WIn XP or Win 98 + older software (Win 98 or XP) on an external hard drive, then plug it into USB, laptop, in order to run old programs of 16-32 bit?

It would be best to run Windows 98 or XP in a Virtual Machine, if you need to run older programs.

You can use a free software such as Oracle VirtualBox or VMware Player:

As long as you have an HDMI cable to connect your XBOX 360 console to your 2301 x monitor, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

  • A laser printer can be plugged into a power strip?

A laser printer can be plugged into a power strip?

    Here's the question.

A typical wall outlet is rated at 15 watts max, but you should only put about 80 percent of this amount on the circuit as a constant pull then 12-13 watts is the actual amount of the charge, you will place it on one shot. You might get an occasional brief increased load when a device such as a printer laser heated.

Laser printers pull a lot of power when the fuser unit, heating, so you should gave them a plug dedicated to the extent possible.

If you put a printer into a power strip, then the band must be plugged into a wall outlet and the printer should be the only thing plugged into the power strip.

End check model of your laser printer and find the data sheet and see how much current it draws pulling maximum amount, if it is 12 or 13 amp, then you really should have a dedicated socket or a power strip plugged into the Jack with nothing else on this subject.

  • Power adapter can remain plugged in or not?

    Hello!

I have Toshiba Satellite A10. Can a power adapter stay connected to the power supply and the computer all the time (24/7) or disconnect every night? How, it would be preferable to battery?

I wish that, because of the good battery works.

PS Sorry for my English, I'm Russian.

    Hello Francis,.

said that the adapter should be disconnected during charging the battery in the portable professional past.

But today, the battery can be plugged into the hole day. The current batteries are fine and the AC adatper and software are also "smart." When the battery is fully charged, the software stops the loading process.

  • Z420 HP: HP 2 TB SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM hard QB576AA (should I plug it into a grey connector 6 GB)

I have this hard drive and not being not SSD connected on a regular white connector on the motherboard, but apparently it can make 6 GB - should I plug it into one of the gray connectors?

    Kind regards

    SM

To answer my own question, I talked to someone from HP support via chat, that says it is OK to use the gray 6 GB port for this drive. It makes sense, because the drive is 6 GB, I was just ignorant mechanical controls could also use grey ports. For some reason, I assumed that mechanical controls have been slower and relegated to ports white 3 GB SSD could use faster gray 6 GB ports. Curiously, when I got the machine, he had a plu SSD plugged into the port of gray, but the Intel RST console has reported the transfer negotiated for it to only 3 GB. The console confirms that the new HARD drive is to get 6 GB (with my new SSD). The two ports are busy.
