  Then out of no where, a few hours earlier, my laptop (HP Pavilion dv7-6135dx) started acting... First, it would show my wifi like "no internet, secure... In an attempt to "disconnect' to reconnect - I accidentally hit"turn off"- to which a person has helped me get this back off to disable... I've had the internet for a few minutes - but since my battery was almost dead & I was by my parents home, I decided to wait until I'm home... Now that I'm home, whenever I try to connect to the Internet (using Chrome) nothing will open... On the contrary, he says, "this site is not reachable" as well as "DNS address was not found. Diagnose the problem"and it has a blue 'Reload' button... But then I also noticed that I had to click on the Chrome icon as 6 times after restarting my laptop - when I tried to open Chrome... Furthermore, when I tried to open Avast Antivirus - I had to keep clicking this icon, so... When Avast has finally opened its doors - I tried to do a "Smart Scan" to "Virus scanning" and stopped at 6% & would not move for about 1.5 hours... I don't know what to do...   Hello. I had to reformat a HP Pavilion DV7-6135 dx and its lack of a bunch of pilots. Because the usb does not work yet, I have to put all the drivers on the disk and install it. I guess the first thing I need is the USB drivers and then the correct driver ethernet LAN. Can connect you me with those two, please, and then I'll go from there. Heres a snapshot of Device Manager if that helps. Thanks, DD

  I don't know which driver you need to the Intel card other than the one I already posted to install netowork controller.

  The ID's for the fingerprint reader.  I do not see the driver as listed on the support page, so try one of the following line of the dv7 series.  It should work.

  It is a very delicate issue because on some models, their motherboards have places to plug in the power supply for the keyboards, but MANY models do not have. The only thing we can check: get the motherboard part number and find out

  The usb ports on my pavilion dv7 stopped working.  In doing research I think it has something to do with the drivers, but being not not 100% technical, I'm not entirely sure how to solve this problem.  Could you please help me solve because I use quite often the usb ports as well as to synchronize my phone etc.

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook and issues with the USB ports on 10 newly installed Windows. Here is a link to solve the USB connections.

  I would like to uninstall all listed in the universal serial bus controllers list.

  Please note remove any and all USB devices and remove the memory card in the slot of the card reader. Disconnect all non-essential devices before you uninstall the controller Universal serial bus.

  Restart your computer, and then insert the USB device.

  You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

  Hello. I'm trying to find out what my laptop usb ports are 3.0. I tried a USB SS symbol on the sides, but I don't see such a thing. On the right side, I see a USB symbol, but it doesn't have the SS beside him. I tried to find out if there was a difference in color (blue or black) and the right of those who do not seem completely black, they are somehow bluish in color but still results in google, I understood that the left has usually 3.0 ports.   Extremely difficult to boot Windows XP from a disk usb external hard and will be extremely slow to use. Instructions to link here , but it seems to be down at the moment.

  Impossible for Vista or Windows 7 that I know.

  Screws for the cover of the hard drive come all the way, they stay with the cover, after loosening them that coverage will pop out.

  I bought my computer in 2011 at Bestbuy. In this computer factory settings had various applications, HP, HP Recovery manager, etc.

  Recently, last week my computer was attacked by malware and therefore, I had to restore my computer by using the recovery HP (Rebecca.exe) Manager. Meanwhile, windows offered to updgrade to 10 Windows. My computer is compatible, and that's why I decided to upgrade. Unfortunately, Windows 10 did not work too well with my computer, and so I contacted Windows Support team. They have reinstalled Windows 10 in my machine and remove the function back to Windows 7.

  Support of Windows 10 team could not solve the problems in my computer. I then asked to downgrade to windows 7. With their downgrading to Windows 7, I had to get all the drivers to make my computer function again. However, I do not have original HP and Applications settings my computer had when I first bought the computer.

  Is it possible to install all the parameters of HP and Apps? I tried to install HP Recovery Manager, however, when I do, it says "Softpaq does not apply to the system, no installed HP Manager."

  Help, please! My computer is running slowly. What should I do?

  The best way to make your PC work again in Win7 is to do a factory restore using the HP recovery media.

  It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

  I have a HP Pavilion dv7-4065dx laptop with Windows 7 64 bit that won't start or go to the Bios screen.  When the laptop is turned on, you hear the fan from the system start, start button / stop brighter lights and the caps lock button starts to Flash continuously once every three to four seconds.  The activity of the disc is also light on but with no flashing red.  No changes have been made to the laptop and it worked perfectly well a few hours earlier.  I tried the hard reset of the computer and the reinstallation of the memory cards, but the laptop would be still not start.  Any help to determine what the problem is with the computer would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
