Can I remove a program which has been updated

original title: updates of programs.

After that I have download an update of a program and install it. Can I delete it?

Can you be more specific...?

Did you download and save a file, then double-click it and run it to install?  If Yes, chances are 99% + you can delete the file downloaded since it has already installed the things needed in the places needed.
