Can what kind of network card I add?

CTRL + Alt + S gives me this information, but none of this is acknowledged by HP support as a valid system site search. I just want to know what type of expansion of this machine slot has, so I can order a new network card. If someone can tell me how to get either the HP support site search to work, or tell me how to determine the right type of NETWORK card to buy, I would be grateful.

Hello

The following link shows the specifications of your machine:

http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?objectID=c01746796&lang=en&cc=us&ContentType=SupportFAQ&prodSeriesId=3942799&prodTypeId=12454

It has 3 PCIe x 1 and a PCIe x 16 graphics slots. You can buy a PCIe NIC card (called Networ adapter) and add to your machine, something similar to one of the following (for wired network)

http://www.Amazon.com/Intel-Gigabit-network-adapter-EXPI9301CTBLK/DP/B001CY0P7G

or the next a wireless network:

Kind regards.

  • How can you tell what your vSwitch NETWORK card uses?

We are still at the experimental stage with our ESXi 4.1 installation and have 4 cards assigned to a vSwitch network. 3 are active and it is defined as the day before. Is there a way to tell which network cards are actually get used or are all 3 active cards get used both for the collection of NETWORK adapters? I have attached a few screenshots to view our installation.

Another thing is that the day before, we noticed NIC for network management and VMnetwork are different and which seemed to have been changed on their own. Is this normal? For example the day before NIC for network management is set to vmnic3 and the NIC for the VMnetwork has the value vmnic2

Well they are all 'used' to my knowledge.  The only way I've really seen to see one that is circulating is to make a display of advanced host performance and look at networking. From there on, it lists each nic and the amount of data it is to push through. I know that we have 4 s NIC team (similar to your Setup less standby configuration) and usually only a NETWORK card pushes the data at once.

  • Can what type of video card I buy to upgrade a Pavilion a1000y? What are the specs?

I upgraded my desktop HP Pavilion to Win7 a1000y and the default value of the monitor is VGA. the resolution is not good for the big screen that I use. I'll try to find the PCI slot specifications and/or specifications of a video card, that I can add to the upgrade of the video to the monitor and does not get distorted image.

I didn't Eve whether this model can use a video card, since he already come with video included in the motherboard, if that makes sense.

Thanks in advance for your help

    See you soon

    AB

The motherboard of your PC has PCI slots. This means that you will need a PCI video card and not the generation of current PCI Express x 16 video cards.

This webage Newegg shows the type of card you need. I recommend that you do not have a card with more than 512 MB RAM video.

  • Satellite 3000 x 11 can't use its network card

My friend 3000 satellite x 11 I am trying to configure it to connect to my uni internet rooms, but for that I need the MAC address. If I do ipconfig it just says: 'Windows IP configuration' and nothing else.

If I go to Device Manager there is no category for network adapters, even though I see the ethernet to the rear port. Its almost as if he knows not it's on-board LAN.

Back to home his brother to use it with the built-in modem, but not the ethernet port.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

Some Toshiba models don't have a RJ45 (Ethernet) port but nothing behind it--means no network controller. The machine is ready for LAN but no LAN built in.

Therefore get f.ex. a PC card to connect to the LAN.

  • Network connects via radio instead of via the network cable. How can I configure the network card as the default network connection?

Network wireless adapter NIC Ethernet network device

I've updated from Windows XP to Windows 7 recently. My internet connection used to be connected directly to my computer and I have a wireless router for other users in the House. Since getting 7, my computer (while still having the direct connection) should automatically connect via the wireless. If I disable the feature wireless to the computer I lose access to the internet completely. Is there anyway that I can get it back to the way it was without going back to XP? I know it's probably something really simple to fix, but I just can't understand it. Thanks for any help you can give!

    Hello

I recommend you to follow the steps suggested in this article and check if it helps.

I can't connect to the Internet via wired broadband digital subscriber line (LAN) or cable.

  • not supported for ESXi 4 NIC... Can I simply add a NETWORK card?

Maybe it's painfully obvious, but I don't want to assume anything.  I tried to install ESXi 4u1 this morning on a machine just to see if it would work, and I have not reported any supported network cards.  Can I buy a NETWORK card support and then ESXi 4 will work?  Is it really as simple as that, or is there some other stuff that I'm not aware of?

Can I put the network card wireless on my HP model of office p6610f on windows 7 64 bit to get the best wireless connection?

    VJP2002, welcome to the forum.

According to the Product Specifications for the computer, it came not with a wireless card installed.  However, you can add a.  Here is a card that should work for you.  It uses the technology of KT (Gigabit).  This means that your router must support AC.  However, it supports 802.11 a/b/g/n.  There are 3 PCI Express x 1 slots on the motherboard.

There are other options, for example, wireless USB adapters.  You don't have to open the case and install them.

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.

  • Adding a second NETWORK card on the server HP Proliant ML 350 G5

I have a new HP Proliant with a guest of Windows 2008.  HP came with two network cards on the MB.  I need double-home this box on both networks, at least for a while, and this server will be the only road between subnets.  It's just a stand-alone installation inset.

I looked in the settings of the BIOS on the HP and it's a little confusing, but I'm sure that the second network card is active (it lights up when it is plugged).  When I try to add a NETWORK adapter to the configuration of the host, it is as if the second NETWORK card is not present.

My question is what is the best way to add this second NETWORK adapter and how do I do that?

I'll need access to the host of the VI Client on both networks - at least for a while.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to configuration-card network in the vSphere client is the 2nd NETWORK card that there are listed?  If ESXi is able to recognize the NETWORK adapter (or other people that you add) they should appear in this list without any config changes and be ready for use.

What kind of networks are you fill?   If one is considered not secure you could be better not add a management on this network port and prefer to have access via a VPN VM or a secure hosted VM / dual.
