HP ENVY 5660: Digital Photo cancelled Mid-printing

I got this HP Envy 5660 for a month now without any problems.  So far, I had no problem printing of photos, but now whenever I print a photo 4 x 6, the printer will get to the final inch or so of photo paper and then cancel the print.  The touchscreen little actually say "Printing cancelled" and the last inch of my picture is not printed.

I tried all the reset of the printer plant and withdrawal/reinstally driver.  This is only a problem when printing pictures of one of my PC under Windows 7.  If I place a photo on the scanner and re - print a photo, the entire photo is printed without any problems.

Well, I don't know how, but I seem to have solved the problem.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers twice and things were still screwed up.  Finally, I have uninstalled something with "HP" in the name, deleted all trace of the files/folders with "CV" in them in and checked to make sure that all the printer drivers have been removed under the print management console.

Except, this time I chose to install the base instead of the «full features» driver driver

I seem to be able to print photos correctly again.

  • HP Envy 5660 all in a single printe: hp envy 5660 copy: Page size difference.

I want to copy something that is maybe a page 11 standard 8 1/2 x 5 x 7.  I don't want resized or centered, just copied. The printer ejects a page and says "Page size disparity."  If I press OK, it ejects another page and gives me the same message but with the provision that accept the shift, it will print. It prints, but regional element.

If I place the smallest element on the glass printed and put an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper on it, it still gives the size mismatch error. What I'm trying to make is so common, I can't believe that this printer is unable to do so.

I understood our problem and it wasn't a lack of software update. The setting for the main paper tray was 4 x 6 inches. We had removed the top to change the paper and, as the lower tray was never released, it doesn't reset it puts to be turned back in. To watch the small video who advised pulling on the lower plate to change the paper, I tried and was introduced by an "OK" button to confirm a change of paper size. After that, we were able to do all sorts of copy that we needed.

Thanks for your help on what has been somewhat of a wild goose chase.

  • 5660 envy: Envy 5660, OfficeJet 8710 and 8720: they can print documents from a thumb drive USB connected?

ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer can print documents (for example, .doc files) from a USB connected to its USB port?

Similarly, can the Pro OfficeJet 8710 or 8720 print documents from a USB connected to its USB port?

    Thank you

    DaleBr

    Hi DaleBr,

Any printer PCL3 as the Officejet Pro 8710, 8720 support only Photos of pritning from a USB (JPEG and BMP), it cannot print the document files such as ir PDF DOCX to a thumbdriver, but only to a computer...

The HP Envy 5660 only support printing Photos from a device memory too, but only from SD card, there are not any USB port for a USB.

None of the models above can only print from a computer or a mobile device...

8730 Officejet Pro which is a postscript printer to print PDF, Word and Powerepoint support files directly from a USB (Latin characters), however it is a commercial product and cost more as such:

  • HP Envy 5660: HP Envy 5660 will not be printed on cardstock

I just spent over an hour on the phone with tech support trying to 1 million different options to allow me to print. A week ago, I bought this printer to print on cards for the baptism of my son (in 2 days) and he refuses to print on thick paper. Technical support tried different drivers, printing through the viewer of PDF, Word printing, printing of a multitude of different parameters, since the photo tray, since the main tray, wireless, USB, etc. Nothing WORKS! I need to get there as soon as POSSIBLE. I find it very difficult to believe that this 'thing' print on photo paper but impossible to print on card stock of all things. Help, please! If HP someone sees my case number is 3028801369. Thank you.

    Hi @mirurzun,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you use a HP ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer with a Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan computer and you cannot print on thick paper with success. I would like to help with that.

I went and checked the case created by the agent who you work with. He noted that the end of the document appeared at the top of the card stock, but when you use plain paper it printed fine.

I called HP ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer (F8B04A) specifications and found that cardboard did not appear as a type supported media which is probably why you are not able to make it work.

  • Ability to print duplex on HP Envy 5660 photos?

"I am able to print double-sided regular 8.5x11" leaves, but not the two photos in the photo tray.

Ideally, I would like to be able to do this automatically - in other words, I don't want to have to do it manually.

If the 5660 can do, how? I always choose the box 'Double' and use my standard set 4 x 6 ", but I still get one side printed.

If the 5660 cannot do, which HP printer will be?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Unfortunately, the media photo that we have that there is no HP printer which can print photos at 2 sides, allows printing on one side.  Prniting on the other side will have poor print quality and can damage your printer.

    Hope that helps!

  • HP Envy 5660:4 x 6 & Accessories HP photo paper doesn't fit 4 x 6 tray in Envy 5660

I have two boxes of paper HP Everyday Photo 4 x 6 or 102 x 152 mm, which is about 1/8 "long to fit the photo paper tray in my Envy 5660 printer.  Is there a way to make this work without having to cut each page?  Why HP would sell photo paper that does not fit their printer?

    J.Underhill

Yes, I am aware that I can print 5 x 7 or 4 x 6 in-tray, but as this printer has a tray of 4 x 6 I have to try to use it. Unfortunately, the Board does accept papers whose length is 152mm or 6 "I can't use a HP product that says it's for this purpose.

PROBLEM SOLVED: I'll cut it to fit and buy another brand.
