    Hello

The computer seems to work fine in safe mode. The diagnostic mode disables all third party software and services that run in the background. To emulate a similar situation in normal mode, you can run clean boot.

To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after starting the computer, reinstall and run the program and see if the problem is resolved.

Check if you have the same problem... If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.

To restore your computer to a Normal startup mode, follow these steps.

    1. click on start in the box start the search.

    2. type msconfig and press ENTER.

  • Cannot open programs after the removal of virus to the AVG Virus Vault and rebooted.

Hi, I have AVG 2011 Free Edition and when I had a virus, AVG it is removed from the quarantine. He then told me to restart the computer to finish. So I restarted and I noticed that the programs which usually start up when I turn on the computer start (like AIM and others). In addition, when I try to open a program for example Firefox, it tells me to choose a program to open the file. It's really annoying and it won't let me choose a default program to open a specific file. Thank you all for the help!

  • Tecra M2 - cannot access windows after restoring two days ago

    Hello
I bought the Tecra M2V for one and a half years. Now I could not access the windowns again. I suffered such a problem for the second time, just after I have use the two days recovery disk. He came out of the blue screen. He advised me to use safe mode. But I've tried and failed several times. My other friend both also suffer these problems now. It's really annoying. Hoping some kind people to help me.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Min

I think that something like this is boring. Please can you give us more information about this problem? Did you change hardware configuration? Is an external device connected to the unit? Are you using the original recovery media supplied with your device?

As far as I know that the recovery procedure cannot be responsible for something like that. BSOD can be caused by other things. Believe me I got several different units and I have never, ever seen anything like it.

To be more specific and explain exactly what you have done.

  • Cannot access drive after the replacement of material

I had some hardware problems with my computer recently.  I don't know who that resulted, but the card mother SATA controller and boot hard drive were damaged and had to be replaced.  I replaced the motherboard with the same exact model and the boot disk with a large (300 GB) version of the same model.  All data stored on a RAID1 different set (Mirrored) which does not seem to have been damaged.  The RAID1 set had permissions to full access from the account administrator «MainUser»  There was also an active guest account who did not have access to this drive.

After replacing the drive start-up and the motherboard, I restalled Windows XP 32 bit operating system using the same CD of installation, login names and password that were used previously.  However, I can't access the data reader.

I can see the drive in Windows Explorer.  I was able to change the drive letter to the old letter.  When I try to rename the drive I get the message Invalid Volume Label "You do not have sufficient rights to perform this operation."  When I try to explore the disc I get the message post work "R:\ is not accessible.  Access is denied. »

Motherboard: Asus M2N - SLI Deluxe
C:\ Boot disk: WD Raptor 300 GB
R:\ Data drive: RAID1 (mirror) WD 750 GB

How can I have access to the whole drive RAID1?

You will have to take possession of it . Or download the file here .

  • Cannot access Internet after SP3

I have reviewed many articles and comments related questions related to XP SP3, but I hope someone can shortened my troubleshooting a bit.

I'm running an old eMachine (T6520 in) with an AMD Athlon 64 processor.  The OS is XP version 2002 with Service Pack 3 GUY.  I had a few problems with this computer associated with certain system programs does not, the most obvious being the restoration of the system.  I recently posted on this site for more help with the missing files are restored, but have not yet had the chance to solve this issue.  I don't like so much about this, so I can access the internet, which will be the main use of this computer.

Everything worked ok, until I installed SP3, after which I was unable to access the internet.  I tried to uninstall SP3, but keep a mistake related to a missing file.  I was about to do a full restore of the system from CD, but then I restarted in mode safe mode "with networking" and was able to access the internet.  This makes me think there is some kind of security setting preventing me access to internet.  I disabled temporarily my Windows Firewall to see if it helped, but not luck.

I'm under IE7 (also struggled to access the internet when I installed IE8).  I have a Netgear USB wireless adapter.  Let me know if there is anything you need.

Thanks in advance for the help.
