Cannot authorize my new fuse

Just hooked up my new fuse. Rhap recognizes it, but when I right click on it in Rhap, I don't have the option to authorize.  I have records left in Rhap.  I'm in MTP mode and media player 10.

Thank you!

First of all, do not forget to manually select MTP mode by going to settings > system settings > USB Mode > MTP.

On the PC, open a Windows Explorer window by pressing [Windows key] + E, or by work center.

Plug in your rocket and watch things popping up in this window.  The "rocket" appears in the section "other devices"?

Open the Device Manager.  You can use the cool shortcut [Windows key] + [Pause/break key], or control panel > system > Hardware tab > Device Manager button.  Looking for yellow triangles of doom!

If she tries to connect in MTP mode, look under the list of portable devices.  If you click it, the Sansa should be there.  Double-click on Sansa and select Uninstall but NOT 'disable', as to turn off is to tell your PC, "don't you worry about this."

Now, if you unplug it, try to connect again.  (I would like to restart the PC after the uninstallation)

If the Sansa does not, we will try to give WiMP a jump start.  If you have the WiMP10, or WiMP11, reinstall or update your Windows Media Player.

Download the MTP Kit from Portage Microsoft Protocol.

After EACH of these steps, all you need to do is plug your Sansa (in the MTP Mode) after each step and watch fireworks (Finally, at least so that it appears in the Windows Explorer window).

Disconnect the Sansa during execution of updates.

Let me know how it goes... so far ^ z

Being new and 8 GB you expect a silver model that is but the model on the confuzes me back sticker.

BLAK?  I thought that the only black 8GBs were refurb.  Maybe it's just a random series of letters coming just allude to something else.  I spilled nealy 8GBs of music out there to test the ability.  Seems great so far.  Any thoughts?

The letters are only a sequence of production.  Your kind of kool said blak.  When the 8 GB delivered first, money was available in the U.S. market, and I was jealous that my black favorites were shipped to Europe.  I like the look of a black Sansa Klavierlack.

  • Cannot open a new meeting.

When I open Windows Meeting Space and try to start a new meeting, it says "cannot open a new meeting because you have not enabled with valid IPv6 addresses network adapters. I went and watched the network cards I have and they say that IPv6 and IPv4 addresses are enabled. I don't quite know what to do about it.

    Con_30,
If you can go to the properties of the network connection and verify that IPv6 is set to automatically obtain the address.  Here are the steps to do this.

    1. open network connections by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking network and Internet, click network and sharing Center, and then clicking manage network connections.

    2. right click on the connection and then click Properties. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. check that the area "this connection uses the following items:" IPv6 is enabled.  Then highlight and select Properties, make sure it is set to automatically obtain the address.

Do you have a firewall running programs.  If so you may need to check the settings on it to check that it does not block Windows Meeting Space.

  • Cannot create a new folder name

Cannot create a new folder and name it.  The name I give always comes back again record when I hit enter.

I'm assuming that happens with all new folders in the special folder that you use and that you use a "legal" name for the folder - but that is determined when you answer questions of Malke.

It's maybe a permissions issue.  You will have to perhaps take full rights on the folder or even take in charge of the case.

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  You can change now switched to read-only (even if the main folder indicates that they are always read-only - you can access yourself as the owner).  You can keep them in read-only to other users, customers and administrators even (although they can support themselves and access, if they wish, and it is really not that you can do to stop it except protect the file with a password by using a 3rd party product.)  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.  To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  • Cannot create the new drive and impossible to reduce c drive I want...

My laptop disk management displays the following information...

    (1) healthy OEM 14.75 GB partition
    (2) 200 MB Healthy (System, active, primary partition) (containing the system files)
    (3) c: in good health (start-up, swap files, dump, primary) (which contains Windows) total 421 GB, free 400 GB (which contains Windows)
    (4) D: sound logic GB 29 disc
I want to shrink the C drive in 30 GB and want to do at least 3 drives more. I also have linux in the D drive.
so when I want to shrink C drive, then it shows the size of available shrink space in MB 212653 and total size after shrink 219284MB. This means that my C drive will at least 219284MB. but I don't want that.
Another problem, when I tried to create a new simple volume the following error comes.    You cannot create a new volume in this unallocated space because the disk already contains the maximum number of partitions.  What can I do?

The existence of files across the disk will limit the amount by which you can reduce the volume.  You can defragment to reduce this, but there will always be property files that will create a limit for you.  I had to do a full install in a 70 GB partition for Windows CE - with my first attempt to install, I could not it less than 250 GB even if I tried to partition when installing Win7 had finished.

I think you'll have to decide a complete reinstall to resolve the issues, but that's just my opinion.  During installation, choose the option to partition the drive & set it to create a partition that is not less than 70 GB and Windows will install fortunately in this.  You can then use the rest for a partition of data user files.

You don't mention your brand of PC, but even once, as Palcouk said, you will have some facility in order to safeguard the partition image factory of the manufacturer of the PC in DVD or USB [Dells certainly have the USB option for this].  Fix this before whatever it is that you will destroy this partition when reinstalling and might also do so just try to move partitions.
