Cannot close Windows IE 8 start window

After installation, removal and reinstallation of IE 8 several times, I still get the Start Up window initial 'welcoming' me to IE 8. No matter how many times I put in place, it still seems everytime I open IE 8.

After installation, removal and reinstallation of IE 8 several times, I still get the Start Up window initial 'welcoming' me to IE 8. No matter how many times I put in place, it still seems everytime I open IE 8.

I had the same problem awhile back. Use this link:
http://www.Winhelponline.com/blog/disable-IE8-tour-welcome-screen-RunOnce-all-users/

Excerpt:
To automate the above, use the REG file I created. Download ie8-tour - disable.zip, unzip and run the file ie8-tour - disable.reg. Note that the parameter effects only the user account current. To apply the change to all users, you can deploy this REG file via RunOnce registry or by using Group Policy.

Problem returned several times. I saved the file to my desktop. Had to use it twice more.

    Two points:

    1. it is unlikely that your current installation would work if
you have changed motherboards. You need to reinstall itself.

2 but you cannot use your current copy of Windows if you change
motherboards, not even if reinstall you it cleanly. The largest
disadvantage of an OEM version, is that its license it binds permanently
the first computer, it is installed on and Microsoft believes that
If you change the motherboards, another computer. It can never
legally be moved to another computer, sold or transferred (except with)
the original computer). If the computer dies or is stolen, your
    license dies with him.

  • Cisco Security Agent cannot close port 135/tcp on Windows hosts

    Hello

I met with the problem that Cisco Security Agent cannot close port 135/TCP on PC windows (XP or Win7).

I configured the network access control module to prevent all client/server connections to port tcp/135 of the rule.

I checked my police using nmap, so this port (TCP/135) 20 minutes shows as filtered and I see connect event monitor on the CSA MC, over the next 20 minutes he see as open and no newspaper doesn't show. (not exact time, then it maybe 30 minutes or 5, this varies)

Can someone explain how TCP/135 works and it is possible to close it using the CSA?

    Thanks in advance

I use Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

HI Maria/Winston.Not, trying to be coy but. I've never had close the firewall to load anything. It will be, or at least should invite you to make a choice to leave the program to run or not? Nevertheless. If you have windows activation hurt you firewall can reactivate manually without going through the bugs that you can not. If you click Start and choose the runtime application. Type cmd, and then press ENTER. When the command prompt box appears type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes. He'll say firewall reactivated and ask for a reboot. Restart the computer and it will be active again. Just trying to help.

    Hi Winston/Hewlit,

Thank you both for your advice.
While waiting for your answers, I pushed all sorts of buttons and downloaded all kinds of programs in the hope that I could break the firewall (Hewlit the printer I tried to install says to disable the firewall to install the printer, and then turn it back on?).
After a reboot, the message 'corrupt windows\system32 etc' file came and asked me to put in the original disc of Windows XP, I did not.
Cut a long story short, I have now booked for a technician to come out as I'm totally lost.
    Thanks again for your help,

Do some basic cleaning and updates that may resolve your problem (also - check your time and date - as well as your setting time zone...)

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

While probably not 100% necessary-, it is probably a good idea at this time to ensure that you continue to get the updates you need. This will help you ensure that your system update is ready to do it for you.

Download and run the MSRT tool manually:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx
(Ignore the details and download the tool to download and save to your desktop, run it.)

    Reset.

Download/install the latest program Windows installation (for your operating system):
    (Windows XP 32-bit: WindowsXP-KB942288-v3 - x 86 .exe )
(Download and save it to your desktop, run it.)

    Reset.

    and...

Download the latest version of Windows Update (x 86) agent here:
    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=91237
... and save it to the root of your C:\ drive. After you register on theroot of the C:\ drive, follow these steps:

Close all Internet Explorer Windows and other applications.

    AutoScan--> RUN and type:
    %SystemDrive%\windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe /WUFORCE
    --> Click OK.

(If asked, select 'Run'). --> Click on NEXT--> select 'I agree' and click NEXT--> where he completed the installation, click "Finish"...

    Reset.

Now reset your Windows with this FixIt components update (you will use the aggressive version if given a choice):

You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

    Hello

Here is another solution, you can try to see if you can get Windows 7 to install correctly.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the version exact same origin supplied with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

Description of the problem: same problem on the computer desktop and laptop at the same time began: cannot install Windows updates (has no status)

No hardware changes or software recently made to the system: I followed the usual procedure to install Windows updates.

    Method of connection: wireless

    Technical expertise: intermediate level

Performed troubleshooting: because the error # 80071 A 90 type indicated by the system, I followed the instructions of Windows Help and Support, for example to run Microsoft Fix it which did not work; a more advanced method has also been used, who recommended to start Windows Update in Mode safe, then open Windows Update and install the updates and then restart normally. At this point, the problem was that any stage of Windows Update was available.

    Hello amib004,

As much as I know, only Windows Update cannot be run in safe mode. That being said, I saw where install several updates may conflict with each other. Try to disable all updates installation and install the updates failed one at a time.

  • Close window Subvi

    Hello!

I built a Subvi to a VI Oscilloscope that performs the analysis of the signals.

Users should be able to open and close the Subvi window, but I can't make it work like I want.

    He needs to do is:

-Open the Subvi when an on-off control is clicked and start calculations

-close window calculations and stop the Subvi

-Repeat passages that every time that the user needs

    I built what:

-Open the Subvi with the key and start the calculations correctly

-When I close the window Subvi it opens again stopped whith calculations

-After a new closure, if I open the Subvi with the key it doesn't calcuates not

-After clicking the button it finally starts working again

I have attached the Subvi and an example VI reproducing the loop containing the Subvi.

You know a better (and more correct) way to make it work?

    Thank you!

    Mike

I just noticed a race condition mean you have as well.  If you switch the button after the terminal has been read, but before that the local variable is written to, your rocking button could be ignored accidental due to the locale of your user name.

What I would do with this Setup would be to launch the Subvi as a parallel process.  The VI can maintain its own State and what not.  You can then use the user events and/or queues to send data to the other process.
