Cannot connect on Windows, asking a password that has never been

I never wanted a password in my PC.  Starting this week, I have a password that I never ask. Now, I can't do anything in the PC without the password I've ever had.  This is the case, try to get the icon of ESPN.  Microsoft Windows asks a password now in order to do the things I've done without it.  I can't stop my PC because it asks for a password when he wakes.  The Colombian who responded (paid) could not fix it and I'm stuck with it.  Need to take it to someone who really knows how to clean all passwords unless you help me...

Hi Lourdes,

Thanks for posting your query to the Microsoft community. Sorry for the delay in responding. What version of the Windows operating system is installed? It's Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or Windows 10? How many accounts user are there in the computer? What was any recent change in hardware or software on the computer?

Please take a look at this article which provides information about Microsoft password policy.

    Marcos82,
So it appears your system tries to connect to a domain.  You should have an option in the login screen to change the domain that you log in.  You will be able to change it to connect to any PC.
Have you tried "Last known good configuration" among the startup options?  If this is not the case try first and see if it's back to normal.

Hello I have kinda the same problem as above:
    -> Win 7 Pro
-> Boots of emissions 'Press ctrl + alt + del' screen
-> When this is pressed, the prompt for the password is not displayed
-> Impossible to recover from cd

After working with this problem for some time, I found that when computer shuts properly, the next log does not display the password prompt.  If the computer is turned off via a second 5 press power button, the password prompt is displayed the next time the computer is turned on.

I had an old image of the operating system on a hard drive (HD replaced with solid state) that I used to "restore".  The question that has happened again a few days late.  I can't keep backup/restore all the time because it is very tedious (there are a lot of changing data on this computer a duty to back up like that all the time isn't a realistic solution)

It can be the cause of this problem? I want to solve this problem without having to recreate the image and restore new data. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Were there any recent changes or updates made on the computer?

    Step 1:

Try restarting your computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

    a. restart your computer.

    b. when the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap the F8 on your keyboard key repeatedly until you are presented with the screen Windows Advanced Startup Options.

    c. using the arrow keys, select the Safe Mode option.

    d. press the Enter key on your keyboard to start Windows Safe Mode.

    e. when Windows starts, you will be at a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Windows goes into safe mode.

    f. check if you still have the problem.

If it works fine in safe mode try performing a clean boot in order to find the cause root.

    Step 2:

See the article about how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: when the diagnosis is complete do not forget to reset the computer to a normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Method 2:

I suggest you to activate the administrator build-in account and check.
    a. click Startand type cmd in the Search boxof start.
    b. in the list of search results, right click Guest and then click run as administrator.
    c. When you are prompted by user account control, click continue.

  • update of windows xp on the computer that has never been updated for several years because the owner has never had access to the internet. I can just to SP3? SP2 has been installed ever

My name is Pedro, help a good friend who has 3 small destop computers running windows XP. There is no internet at all since the installation of several years now. My question is: can I download SP3 and install it on 3 PCs similarly when they never received updates from the dell factory install? Or SP2 is a sine qua non before moving on later? In fact am still dealing with a place without internet access.

Thank you very much for the help!

According to the first article below, before you install SP3, you must have either the SP1a or SP2 installed on the computer.  You have not specifically need to have SP2 installed.  For more information, see the following articles:

  • What happens if I sync my iPhone that has never been synchronized with iTunes before?

I've had my iPhone 6 for about a year now. I just got a new computer and I want to synchronize with iTunes to new computer. I've never synced my iPhone in iTunes before and he has all my photos, contacts and applications on it. I was wondering if there was a way to sync my iPhone to my iTunes account without losing my data? Thanks for the help!

It's pretty simple and you shouldn't lose any data at all.

That said, you should always have a backup. Anything can happen at any time.

  • I can't get on my computer as an administrator. He asks me a password which has been never implemented. My winows user account has never been password protected. I am trying to transfer my files and photos

My windows user account is not allowing me to log in. He asks a password that has never served on this user account. This account is the administrator and I am unable to exercise the functions of don't. I'm looking to reset the password for this user account. There is no other directors on this computer

This is often caused by malware infection, then when you get home it would be wise to do a scan.

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

You can change your password to something you remember (or use a white) another administrative user account. If you had only an administrative user account, all is not lost. You can then follow the general recommendations for implementing user accounts in Vista that I will give you at the end of this post.

All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [press Enter]
NET user [insert here the name of your user account] [insert the new password of user as 1234 here] [press Enter]

[Note: do not enter the brackets!]

Remove the installation DVD and restart the computer. Now, you will be able to connect to your user account by using the password that you set; for example, 1234.

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. Get to this menu by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. If you do not have this option, you can make a bootable Vista file repair DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need to use third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com ) to burn the image .iso image file, not in the form of data.

Once you have fixed things, log on to the additional administrative account you will be made by the suggestions below and disable the administrator account integrated yet for security reasons:

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

    Exit the command prompt.

General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult.  It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  • Cannot connect to Windows Vista due to password problem

I have a Dell XPS computer laptop model PP28L and run Vista Home Premium. When I bought the computer I bought in a pawn shop. Of course it was sold with no records at all. No recovery or restore of Windows disks. I have a valid Microsoft "proof of License'for my Vista Home Premium. Should I be reinstall Windows and if yes how I'd get the disks.

    * original title - cannot connect on Windows Vista Home Premium because someone changed my password, deleted my ID of the administrator and the guest connection. I am in the *.

Your only option is to do a clean install of Vista.  There is no free, download of the disk.  Contact the manufacturer of the computer and they may be willing to sell you a set of recovery disks to reinstall the system (but you will need 23 digit product key to activate it in all probability even if sometimes it is not necessary when it is made with recovery on the same computer discs).

Here is Microsoft's policy on software lost: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246 you can see is not much help.

If you can borrow an installation disk of Vista genuine of the same size of the bit of ANYONE, you can use that with your product key to re - install the system and start over (you get a new administrator account and set your own password for him - or to leave empty that you choose).

    I hope this helps.
