  (Sorry if I am double-posting.  "I'm familiar with the operation of the forums.)

  I have a new computer with windows 8.1 and a HP officejet 4215.  I followed the HP instructions to install the downloaded software of the printer and it says to test the printing: pqtestpage.png - it is now stuck in the print queue and will not erase, if it says it is deleting.  I tried to fix it and he just keeps showing me the same problem.  Can anyone help (I desperately need to do my taxes.)  Thank you.

  You're probably on the right track. Try this:
  Type CMD in the search bar (startmenu) and right click on cmd.exe in the results. Now, click Run as administrator. At the opening of the CMD screen type:
  net stop spooler
  Then type:

  del/f C:\windows\system32\spool\printers\*.*

  And finally type:
  net start spooler
  (forgive me for stating a truism, but all three lines must be followed by an entry :)
  If you encounter this more then once, then you could save this in a batch file so you can just double-click the file to run the routine. That's how.
  Open Notepad and copy and paste below into Notepad.

  net stop spooler

  del/f C:\windows\system32\spool\printers\*.*
  net start spooler
  Now, save it as a .bat file.
  Must be run ad administrator when used.

• Cannot clear the print queue

  I have the HP Photosmart all-in-One Printer C308g and tried to print a document yesterday evening.  It was the answer.  Then I tried to erase the doc and he said "deletion" - which was at 23:32 (EST) last night.  Since this same minute (11 a.m., EST) the doc shows again that "suppression".  I tried several times to cancel the doc.  I even off the printer, unplug the unit and still nothing.  I closed on my laptop then restarted it and tried to print again, but the original work was still in the queue.  Please if anyone has an answer to my dilemma, I would greatly appreciate your help.

  In Control Panel, open administrative tools and select abuse.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

  Restart the computer and you should find that the document has been deleted.

• 5610 cannot clear the print queue, will not print

  Works very well, then work has been "caught" in the queue. I can't print and I can't delete the job.

  Windows troubleshooting tool said he found a print job in the queue that prevents other print jobs and that fixed the problem, but it has not fixed the problem.   OfficeJet 6500 a Plus.  Connected by cable to the xp machine.  Has been used in wireless mode successfully for more than a year of a machine Win 8.   Thank you for your quick response.  I could just delete it by clicking on delete.  I went through the following sequence messy and finally had success.

  I have a right-click on properties and tried each element. I got error on each of them, messages which are the most common response (80%), "printer can not be deleted. Double check the name, and make sure that the printer is connected to the network'.» Sometimes, I would get an error code. (Mentally I was not ready to dig that right now.)

  I could not change the name, or connect to any network. I tried for a half hour and failed several times on each of the elements. Then I clicked on 'Shortened' again (I don't know why!). This time, it reduces the number of points on the 'properties' of 10 points to 5 or 6. The item "Refresh" remained. I clicked "Refresh", and the printer has disappeared!   2. do you get an error message?

  3 are logged as administrator?

  I suggest you to start the computer in safe mode , and then try to delete the printers.

  The best way is to stop the spooler, delete the queue and restart the spooler:

  Open a run window (Windows Logo key + R), type cmd and press ENTER. Now type these commands, which are in uppercase for clarity only, also note the spaces in the commands:

  NET STOP SPOOLER and press enter

  DEL %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\PRINTERS\*.* and press enter

  NET START SPOOLER and press enter

  EXIT and press enter

  From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler , made service right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

  Restart the computer and you should find that the documents have been deleted.

  Go to: Control Panel, printers, right click on your printer, then click on create a shortcut.

  G to: desktop, double-click your printer, click the printer in the menu, click Cancel all Documents.
