Windows Mobile 8 slow and freezes and cannot enter safe mode
Hi guys, I hope you can help me with a Windows laptop, 8 that gives me problems. I'm trying to help out a friend, and honestly I feel like I'm out of my depth. The initial problem was that the laptop has been slow to respond, very slow, I suspected a virus, ran a Norton scan, it turned up nothing, I ran out of time so I put in safe mode and it gives back, with a significant improvement of the laptop in safe mode. I got the laptop back today and it is always very slow to respond despite having 6 GB of RAM and specifications that must run Windows 8 very well. Is no longer possible in safe mode, and every time I try to put it in safe mode I see Start followed a white/black screen samsung, i.e. when the process ends. However when I try a normal start it starts, but at a snails pace and goes to the login screen, where it is only partially acceptable (it meets more frequently). Any help you guys can provide would be great, thanks in advance, do not hesitate to ask any questions and I'll try to get back to you as soon as POSSIBLE.
Hello
You might want to look in the Startup tab of the the Task Manager for any substance uneeded...
In particular, all that has changed recently...
You could also look into the Services of MSCONFIG tab, hide all Microsoft and see what remains...
Someone not know I had a similar problem, and their main problem is that something called LogMeIn.
It is in the Startup tab...
What processes Taskmanager shows running?

Satellite T135 how to enter Safe Mode and HDD Recovery if 'F8' does not work
Hello everyone
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite T135 and it crashed recently. Since then, whenever I turn it on, startup repair is enabled automatically. But it does not fix the error.
I tried to solve the problem with the system restore, but that no longer works. So I think I have to go through the procedure of HARD drive recovery. The problem is that I have a lot of data on my laptop that I must first of all safe. I wanted to do it via Safe Mode that supposedly, I should be able to enter by pressing "F8" at initialization, when the Windows logo appears. But my laptop is not responding when I press F8, but rather getting a sound alert, if I press the button for a long time.
Apart from how to enter safe mode by pressing F8 during initialization does not work, I have a second question: Toshiba Recovery Wizard is the equivalent for the HDD recovery procedure? It is the only similar option that I could find...
Thank you very much for your advice.
Hello
The recovery of HARD drive installs the image of Toshiba.
The image is the package that contains the operating system, drivers and all the tools that have been installed on the first day of purchase; simply said; using HARD drive recovery you would set the laptop back to factory settings. You want to save the date before you install the operating system once more?
Well, remove the HARD drive, put this in a USB HDD enclosure and move the file to the HARD drive to another computer.
It would be the best way to get the file save. -
Hello
How to move from safe mode?
Thank you very much
Hello
You can enter safe mode via the Windows Advanced Boot menu.
Just press F8 key once you have turned on the computer and you will see the Windows Advanced Boot menu where you can choose Safe mode.
Check this box!

Cannot enter Sleep Mode after undating for win7 / new BIOS
Model: dv4 1435dx
problem: cannot enter the mode 'sleep', when close the lids or click on 'sleep' without closing the lid, computer, enter the mode 'sleep' but immediately wake automatically. but it will not occur if the computer in mode sleep automatically
So, don't know where the problem occurs, the first time I got Windows 7 update kit. It automatically update the BIOS of F43 to F44. then install windows 7. I don't remember if this problem occurred at this time. seems not at first, but after 1/2 weeks later
can I update the BIOS to F61. problem still exist. then F65A. problem still exist.
all other things are fine. No reset automatically. Hibernation is very good.
So, I don't know if this is a bug in the latest version of the BIOS.
In addition, update the driver from HP protect smart update of the window (I installed the driver from the website of HP, but windows update say there is a better driver)
I wonder if it will be a problem too.
Help, please. without "standby" mode, it is not good at all
Oh, well, it's kinda stupid to answer the question myself...
But I can't find the solution
These guys have the same problem with me
Just to go the device management, and then right click your mouse wireless, cancel the 'allow this device to wake your computer'... then problem solved.

Hello
Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.
According to the description, I understand that your PC starts with a black screen. I will certainly help you to question.
I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:
Method 1:
First try the Startup Repair option in the System Recovery Options dialog box. If this does not resolve the problem, or if you have additional problems manually, use the Bootrec.exe tool.
Startup Repair is a Windows Recovery tool that can fix certain system problems that might be preventing Windows to start. It scans your computer for the problem and attempt to fix it so that your computer can start correctly.
Startup Repair is a recovery tools in the System Recovery Options menu. This set of tools is on your computer's hard disk and on the Windows installation disc.
1. remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer by using the power button on the computer.
2. do one of the following:
o If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you must try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.
o If your computer has multiple operating systems, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to repair, and then press and hold F8.
3. in the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select repair your computer and press ENTER. (If your computer is not listed as an option, then your computer doesn't understand no repair preinstalled recovery options, or your network administrator has disabled the.)
4. Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.
5. in the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it.
Because you cannot start the computer, you may need to create a bootable Windows installation media, and then do an auto repair, and if this does not help then you try to restore your computer to the previous date.
Note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
The link provided below might help you to download and create installation media.
Download Windows 7 Disk Images (ISO files)
Method 2:
Try to rebuild the BCD by using the Bootrec.exe tool.
To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps:
1. place the Windows 7 installation discin the disc drive, and then start the computer.
2. press a key when you are prompted. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
3. click on repair your computer.
4. click on the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.
5. in the System Recovery Optionsdialog box, click command prompt.
6. type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

1. type of computer - ENVY HP dv7-7250nr
2 opporating 8 64-bit windows system
Recently, I received this computer. It is amazing that the only thing that could use a change is the keyboard. I got this as a gaming PC, but the function keys can be accesed when you press FN. In most computer games, the keys f # are your shortcuts. When I go to press me I windows has changed and the control panal appears.
So I was looking around, and they say you can switch mode BIOS and disable shortcut keys. Only problem is that I can't enter the BIOS mode.
I would be really grateful for the help on this, I don't want to go out and a whole-nother-key keyboard.
Thank you in advance.
PS. I hope, I put this is the right forum, if not then I'll post in a new one.* *.

Hello
For me, it looks like you don't have Toshiba drivers all installed and necessary.
Have you used the Toshiba recovery disc after the HARD drive has been replaced or have you installed the Windows XP using a clean CD Microsoft? Please note that the common Module are very important!
You must install this software first!
The Toshiba Power Saver help you to enable Hibernate mode and also to access standby mode!On the Toshiba European pilot page you will find all necessary drivers and you'll also find installation instructions.

HP Pavilion g6-1313sh Notebook: dual Radeon graphics card - cannot enter bios mode fixed
Hello!
I recently bought this laptop apart from my friend and is struggling with this for a few weeks now.
I was on the forum every day for a few hours without result.
so, my laptop is HP Pavilion 1313sh g6 with Win7. I have the latest version of the bios, so I could put my gpu bios mode set instead of dynamic.
Here's the problem... When my setting was dynamic, I got the "switchable graphics" option and I could put the preset by application. as many people pointed out, it really does not work, so I went back to fix.
This option is now missing. so I tried in CCC, following this: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03048374 in the fixed bit.
It is, I have no change option... I only get the graphics card AMD Radeon Dual 'activate' or disable... but not the button to switch permanently to the highest performance card... checked in CCC, it recognize my 2 cards under hardware (1st HD6520G 2nd is Hd7400M).
I start to tear up the rest of my hair. Please can someone tell me what I miss? as said, the most recent drivers from the site is all settled.
Thank you!
Hi @SmokeyJohnny ,
Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion g6-1313sh Notebook and issues with graphics switchable. You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.
When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.
If this does not resolve the problem would be to uninstall the graphics drivers listed in your device manager. Reboot the laptop and it must be reinstalled the proper drivers. Yours is the AMD Radeon HD 6520 + 7450 Mr. here are your drivers if you need.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
