Original title : Could not get the update of windows

I use firefox as my web browser and I can't on the Windows Update site, it just telling me that the connection was reset.  I click on try again, but just showing the same thing please help

What type of Internet connection you are on, wired or wireless? If you are on a wireless connection, try to switch to a wired connection and try the download with Internet Explorer.

1. open Internet Explorer (only!) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910336> [ignore the title, etc.], reject modes and then AGGRESSIVE and pop-up troubleshooting automated, then run difficulty he 50202 in DEFAULT. [Ignore warnings "Not recommended", etc.]

2. restart & test.

Full disclosure: the difficulty operating in AGGRESSIVE mode will remove your update history but not list the updates installed in Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP)

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    Hello

    1. you are using a wired or wireless network?

    2. do you use Internet Explorer browser to surf the Internet? If so, which version?

Method 1: reset the router and see if that helps:

Note: To help you reset the router, you can consult the manual that came with the router or the router contact manufacturer.

Method 2: See the article mentioned below:

Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7:

Method 3:  Temporarily disable the antivirus software and see if that helps.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

The error message "the connection was reset" can be caused by a bug for the attack of the BEAST fix (browser exploit against SSL/TLS) that the server does not support.
