  When shut down you your PC is windows or any component, subcomponent, or applications are any type of updates during the closure of the process? Updated firmware updated? Wireless routers receive prior to updating the OS before finishing his closing process. What happens behind the scenes?

  It saves but does not update.  The only thing that has updated during shutdown IMO is windows updates.

  Can't open any PDF files.  When I try to open Adobe Reader, it evokes a tutorial that does not open.  Cannot close.  duty to force a closing.  Have deleted the program and reinstalled but that did not help.  I'm on a PC... Windows 7.

  Unable to open Adobe Acrobat or Reader PDF

  If this is not enough, then run the cleanup tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs" on your machine to uninstall the reader completely.

  Then, restart your computer and install the latest version that is single CD from here:

  Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions

  I really need help desperately. I can't open any office files or icons. I restored to the point the closest that I can, but no difference. Cannot open the Panel even from the Start button. My compuetr crashes every time I double-click or right-click on the icon 'My Computer' or 'My Documents '.
  My restore CD that was shipped with the Toshiba Satellite 1800 does not work either. Help, please! I'm really desperate!

  What do you think average with "I tried with the restore CD but nothing '? Have you tried to completely format your HARD drive? I had a similar problem, but in my case it was because of the transplant of BONE... so I reinstalled the system from the beginning and it was ok.
  If you can not solve this problem with the cd supplied by the factory... I think it might be a hardware problem, probably due to the HARD drive. Your HARD drive makes strange noises, like "Click - Clack"?

  Welcome to the Forums.

  You can try the following:

  1. press Fn + F5 to activate the wireless card (make sure that the current status is set on "ON")

  

  2. relying on Fn + F5 is unable to turn the wireless status on, make sure that the physical wireless switch is on position ON.

  

  3. If the same problem, boot into the BIOS by pressing F2 at startup and make sure that the WLAN device is enabled.

  

  4. If you still cannot detect wifi networks, open Device Manager (press Windows key + R) and then:

  -Go to the ECS network

  -Right click on the wireless adapter and select uninstall

  -Right click on network adapters, then select Scan for hardware changes and check for availabel wifi networks

  5. If not, try to reposition the connectors wireless in the lower part of the PC (see page 42 of the HMM)

• My (Pavilion Entertainment Notebook dv6-6091nr) cannot install any type of game on the internet

  I have adobe, I have internet 9, I have java, but whenever I try to download a game called World of tanks, Battlefield Heroes or Battle for Wesnoth to my son (they have strange tastes in the game, I realize that). Whenever I have download (via normal or TORRENT file), it says "Windows cannot find the right content, here is a list of programs to help you find what your looking to dethrone" excetera, although you will not hear content, it could be something else. But it always happens when I open the file, always, I save the file for download, and it ALWAYS happens. I have no idea what's going on, but worked when I tried called RegWork (which i immedietly UN installed).

  I have kasperby security software, is this what is causing the problems?

  What are you - running win 7?

  If the programs are not for win 7 to use compatibility mode

  Or look for the correct version of the program...

  Are you sure that windows does not hide the file extension (you can set it in windows..)

  Also security software can block executable files, as I don't believe in your case.

  PS maybe you should be happy that you can not install these games for your son :-)

• Microphone is not record audio (my voice) during the recording of videos!

  So, today I went to check on some of my video files to modify and at their reading, I heard no noise. I was confused by this because in the past, my microphone was fine and should record audio without a problem. But all of a sudden it stopped working at all, at least for the record there. When I'm in Skype calls, my microphone seems to work because I can be heard. But when I try and save, my microphone is not working. I record with Fraps and tried a lot of different options within the system itself. I tried "His file Win7" stereo and surround, and two of them did not work. I even went to Skype call testing service to see if my microphone still worked, and when it reproduces the audio I could hear myself using the microphone. Please help me because I don't know what the problem is!

  Edit: Forgot to say that I tried to record with no microphone but the eternal mic and I have all his be picked up when recording, but when I tested it with Skype, I could hear audio.

  Re Edit: So I tried later and tested with my microphone and could not hear any audio, but when I used the computer's microphone, I could hear audio! So that leads me to believe that my mic is broken, but I can't be sure.

  Here, in this scenario, this could be a problem with the hardware or driver issues. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

• Cannot download any music subscription Xbox Music on Surface Pro 3

  I have a 3 Surface Pro and an annual subscription to Xbox Music which is due to expire in April.  I can download music on my Windows Phone and my desktop, however, on my SP3, I don't have the ability to download songs or albums when I click on the... Button (more).  I get only to start radio and PIN to start as options.  On my desktop, I get a third download option.

  I checked my subscription is still active (until April) and that my area is listed as a device in the topic manage devices.

  I had the same problem. I plugged my Wireless Studio Beats and checked my firmware using Updater bat and found out there was a (2.1.8) update. After you have installed and (importantly) not matching and rematching the beats of my iPhone, Apple music was working normally again, and I was getting disconnected when changing tracks more. Hope this works for you also.

  Every time I try to play dragon age or try to open my registry fixing software error that happens with the autorun.exe application failure code click ok to finish I really want to play my game and do a scan but I'm unable to do so.  I tried to fix it by l ' completely off I tried to start the bare minimum on start up and I even uninstalled most of the programs that I put on the computer but they still does not work properly. Now my usual game even now install from the disc.  I scanned for viruses and malware, so I know that these two things are not the issue.  Please help me I don't know what else to try to solve the problem that I encounter.

  Let us scan SFC and check that it prevents this error to occur.
  Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file.
  To do this, follow these steps:
  1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
  2. type the following command and press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow
  The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  Best thing you can do is to perform a system restore just before where the problem occurred.

  If you can find a disk 1 .iso file, you would be able to use a program like Virtual Clone Drive to do a 'virtual cd drive", then your computer think it's the disc 1, and it would work exactly the same, so you don't have the physical disk.

  I bought the toshiba laptop A300 3 months back and made recovery DVD same time :-)
  But I faced a problem and tried to make recovery and I erased all the data after backup, but everything using my 1st DVD I made in the face of a problem as PREINST2. Stormwater management file is missing after about 12 minutes.

  My DVD is brand new without any scratches.
  Also during the creation of recovery disks, there is no question, he got 100% successful.

  Have you tried to use the HARD drive recovery process (if possible)?

  Press F8, all laptop power on. Choose fix my computer.
  Then a new window will open. Then you could start the HARD drive recovery.
  But this will be possible only if HARD disk recovery file has not been changed.

  If HDD recovery is not possible, I recommend that you format the disk with a Windows XP CD.
  Then try to boot from the recovery DVD Toshiba again.
