Cannot import the image of the panorama - file too big

I try to import a panorama image in jpeg format. The size is 437 MB and 49745 x 14786 pixels. When I select the image to be imported, Lightroom 6 fails with the error message: file too big.

What is the problem? I thought the max image size is much higher? 300000 x 300000 pixels? What can I do to fix this? I am running Windows 7, 64 bit.

The maximum file size is 64 k pixels from the edge of the longest (so OK there), or a maximum size of 512 million pixels, the lowest being retained. I think that your file is more than 700 million pixels, which makes it too big for Lightroom.

  • Cannot import the selected file. Refer to the documentation...

    Hi all

Of the very basic knowledge on Adobe products please bare with me! We have deployed v8 Adobe Captivate our users to test and when they try to take a PPTX file and turn it into an interactive e-learning courses, it fails with the message:

"Cannot import the selected file. Refer to the documentation to ensure that you have installed the correct version of microsoft office.

We have the SP2 of Microsoft Office 2010 (x 86) installed Adobe Captivate 8 before us. We tested and this works if the user uses a PPT file (2003 / 2007 Compatible file) which is a workaround but isn't ideal because they then lose the functionality of 2010!

Anyone can confirm that Captivate 8 supports Office 2010, or this is exactly why we have this problem?

V9 does support Office 2010 if this is the case, as if a patch is not solve this problem, then we recommend the customer to go to the product V9. One thing is that we use 32-bit with 64-bit Captivate Office but the fact that it works with legacy PPT I doubt it is the origin of the problem.

    Thank you!

As far as I saw, 9 Captivate does not handle this better than 8 Captivate.  But you can check it out yourself by downloading and installing the Cp9 trial version and see if that will import your PPTX.

A few other suggestions for you:

    • Make sure you run Captivate (regardless of version) using the command run as administrator.
    • Also set PowerPoint to be launched using run as administrator.
    • Don't try to import a huge PPT or PPTX.  Do your tests on something small, say 10 or 20 slides.  This will alleviate the question if you really do turn into is a matter of PC resources.
    • Test with PPTs very sober.  Captivate imports can stumble on some objects incorporated into the PPT Slides.  So just having pictures, text, and anything else in your PPT test.

  • Size of the target file too big?

    Hello

We have an interface that takes a Source file-> transformations in the transit area-> and provides a target file output.

The problem is that the target file is too much than it is supposed to be.

We have 'truncate' Option is enabled, so its no duplicates...

We believe that it is the physical and logical target defined lengths for files.

We believe that the logical length is far too much cause substantial 'spaces' between the columns of data, thereby increasing the size of the file.

We originally the logical length for data columns 12 and got the following error message:

Overflow error arithmetic digital conversion to digital data type.

When we increased the logical length between 12 and 20 interface run fine without errors. But now the size of the target file is simply too large 1:5

Suggestions to prevent these additional places in the columns target?

    Hello

usually, you need to know the length of your data. If you want to be sure you could put source really big file as logical definition, than to use a cast in your box waiting (ex number (12.3)) then your target

    Hello

    1. you try to import these images on the camera?
    2. have you checked if the image files are present on the device?

First cross check if the photos are present on the device and if you are importing from the right location. Try to copy the files manually and paste it on the desktop and see if it works.

  • Restore failed image because of the message error "system cannot find the specified file (0 x 80070002). Is my file of the backup OK folder structure?

I had to reinstall clean Windows 7 64-bit because of the failure of the RAID 1. I have a picture of my original installation system, but I can't restore it; everything I try, I get the message "system cannot find the specified file (0 x 80070002).  I work through a number of possible solutions, without success so far.

According to the kb/951002 (that is for Vista but I can't find an alternative for Win 7) I made sure that the SYSTEM account has read permission for the backup folders and subfolders.  However, the file structure of the specified in the above article backup folder is different from my image file structure.  Specifically, article specified a structure of 'N.zip' file for the backup files but mine are a mixture of XML documents and VHD - i.e. no "zip" files Also, my GlobalCatalog file does not what kind of file, for example, it wouldn't ".wbcat" required file type specified in the article.

The differences above could explain the inability to restore the image and if so, any ideas on what to do about it?

  • Cannot import the Clipboard because the file is not a TIFF file.

I'm not a frequent user of Photoshop, but for some time I still get the error message "Cannot import the Clipboard because the file is not a TIFF file."

Extremely annoying actually.   Is there something that can be done?

Another application place a TIFF file in the Clipboard, or at least advanced he was TIFF.

When Photoshop or the desired BONE scan TIFF, there (because it cannot really be given TIFF).

You need to understand what other application puts bad data on the system Clipboard.

Use Windows Explorer to open the folder containing your catalog. You will see a folder with the extension .lrdata. You must remove this folder, and then restart the Lightroom. Lightroom will generate a new folder of previews.

    Any suggestion will be graduate!

You can, like me, simply leave the scriptlistener plugin installed all the time. Really there no performance impact unless the log file are very large. I just keep an eye on the log file, and then delete it when it starts to get too big. Also there that you don't want the two newspapers js and vbs output set just one you don't want to read-only. Photoshop will Ingore it and only writing to that desired.

If you do not want to uninstall the plug-in a quick way to do this is to rename it by placing a ' ~' at the beginning of the name.

    Hey Chris,

Thank you for visiting the Windows Xp forum

I was wondering if you run a retail or OEM of Windows version. If you are using an OEM version of windows, you will need to use the recovery options you have from the manufacturer of your computer. If you run a commercial version, feel free to follow the article in the knowledge base you have found.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307545 how to recover a corrupted registry

I was also wondering if you have another computer to work? If so and you feel comfortable or know someone who can remove the hard drive from the computer and connect it to another computer. You can view the disk hard kit to join. Once the hard drive is connected, you can go in my computer and copy all the files to another hard disk.

It's a pretty popular mistake these days and sometimes easy to get running, but you also want to figure out how it happened.  I always suspect Symantec/Norton products with this error, but we'll see.

If you currently or have already had a whole isntalled Symantec/Norton products, what are the names and versions (if you know).

    Other variants are:

    STOP: c0000218 {Registry file failure}

I would start with a chkdsk/r since the recovery CD of Console you make (see below) and please answer a few questions...

Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

Please provide additional information on your system:

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

Fill in the blank: my system was working fine until this happened: _.

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

    Hello

It seems that there are a few system files that have trouble.  One of them being mstsc.exe, I wish you find spyware or infection by the virus first, before you try the next step.  Please see the sticky thread in the security forum.  MVP offers some good advice how to remove these problems.

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistasecurity/thread/fa30853d-719a-4265-9e7b-9287567d31e3

If everything is clean, we will try a repair installation to replace the problem files and also to ensure that other system files are good.

The 'repair' installation (upgrade on-site) will not affect your installed programs or data.  Just make sure that you are already connected to your computer when you start the installation.  Do not boot from the DVD.

If the installation does not start automatically when you insert the DVD, run setup.exe from your DVD player.

    • When the Setup program starts and the install now screen, click install now.
    • Note When you receive the important Get updates for installation message, click go online.
    • Click upgrade when the which type of installation you want? appears

Please let us know if this solves the problem for you.
