cannot install upgrade cs5.5 to cs6
I design cs5.5 installed STD, bought cs6 design std upgrade, but cannot install, I get messages, this series is valid, but not for this version. I checked the series and that's the one I received we bought CS5.5. I was in 'line' in the chat during the last two hours. How can I install the product?

When you start the upgrade of the cs6, you will be asked the cs6 serial number. After you have entered this installation will proceed if your cs5.5 installation is detected. If the installation of cs5.5 is not detected you will be prompted to select a product qualification (select cs 5.5) and then you will be prompted for your serial number cs 5.5
Enter the correct number at the right time and proceed with the installation.

I am running Windows 8 Preview Comsumer s, and I face the same problem as users in these discussions:Prior to this installation, I was able to install the same exact copy of installation on an earlier installation of a version of Windows 8 Preview of consumers x 64 bit.

I have found a solution for all users of Windows 8: you can copy a previous installation (the Adobe program directory) to the same folder and try to run the applications. This works for Photoshop 64-bit. For other applications to work, I had to do the same thing, but for the Adobe Program Files (x 86) directory.
I tested to see if the Master Collection install on a new install of Windows 8, and I found that I still have the same error. The previous configuration worked because it was on a different machine with a different material. So, you can find the Master Collection will install on a machine but won't be on the other. In any case, if you get the above error, reinstalling will not fix it.

I just started using a new Mac Pro. My old Mac Pro had installed Photoshop CS5.1. I want to install it on the new Mac, but difficulties as follows:
I normally expect to download the installer and drag it directly into the Applications folder. But instead, when I clicked on the disk image, a set of files came. One was marked "install". When I double-clicked who, a dialog box told me that the file was damaged and should I eject the disk image.
Could someone help? I have the serial number ready - it was of course a legitimate purchase directly from Adobe - but I can't get there!

I had a few CS5.5 - INDD of a partner. Some of them I can open it, others can't. CS6 inDesign freezes and must be closed. I can reproduce this problem on a Windows 7 64-bit and a computer Mac OS X Lion with two Creative CS6 InDesign clouds.
I asked another colleaugue to open files in CS5.5 to register as IDML. It can open files without problems and create an IDMLs. When she sent me these IDML however, I get the same problem as at the opening of the INDD: InDesign freezes.
I have tried several things to get open (IDML CS5.5 or INDD) files:
* Reset the presets file
* Disable plugins
* Restart machines
CS6 two facilities are up-to-date. Is anyone else having a similar problem with CS5.5 CS6 incompatibility or any ideas on the subject?

Would be - this font related? InDesign plays nice with fonts but it cannot mentally handle the bad guys. I am getting error during the installation/upgrade to level or during the withdrawal of the following lenovo Solution Center. I googled for error code & found links with windows install error issue. But my windows install is good work and could be able to install all applications except lenovo Solution Center.

I get this error after I tried the upgrade and do a fresh install of SAN HQ v2.5 on my server HQ SAN; but have no problem installing SAN HQ v2.2 installation seems to work very well, and when I try to open the SAN HQ client I get the above error.
I just built a new server and installed the new v2.5 HQ SAN server, and as soon as it finished installing, I get the same error.
Server 2008 R2 running.

Crowlaw, you can check if your systems are configured for FIPS compliance? To check this, the simplest method is to look at this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy\Enabled
If this entry is set to 1, then I would recommend that you try to temporarily set it to 0 to see if this allows you to start the Client SANHQ.

Cannot install upgrade windows 8 to 8.1 - error 80072f78
I tried to install updates before upgrading to windows 8.1. While the critical updates seem to be installed via automatic update setting there are a few optional upgrades that could not install on manual selection. Error code 80072f78 appeared. I used all the windows troubleshooting apps/programs, but the question is still rest.
Also tried to download the windows 8.1 upgrade but it also fails to download. Error 8007f78 appeared as the reason. I have searched the microsoft community site but did not find any fix here.
I temporarily stop the antivirus, but that has not solved the problem. I have a wifi connection, but who have tested and there seems not to be any problems. Are you able to help?
There are 6 Optionally updated [have failed install since May 15, 2014.] One of them is a windows update (KB2955163) and others are for most related material. When I tried to install optional updates 6 a mistake no 80072f78 appeared and another time to do the same mistake 800706f7 appeared. If I tried to be updated individually 80080008 appeared.
Well, you can try Options #1, #2, or #3 on this page , but the given that none of these optional updates (not), install Option #4 (i.e., a refresh or a Reset) may be your only recourse at this point.
Note that a refresh or a Reset will restore the free-version Norton to test you so need to rerun the multi-step fix all before installing UPDATES ALL!

I work all day with support via chat, but not yet able to resolve. I bought the upgrade LR6. I am currently running LR5 on my mac. When I try to install the upgrade LR6, the status bar is at 99% complete, but then it ends with error - "Adobe Application Manager quit unexpectedly". Things tried today with the help of the support chat:
Delete the folder PDApp and try the upgrade installation.
Rename the OOBE folder and try to install the upgrade.
Uninstall Adobe Application Manager and try to install the upgrade.
LR5 uninstalling, reinstalling LR5 and try to install the upgrade.
Nothing works.
Hello Atul and thanks for responding. Adobe support seems a little disjointed because I offered this solution through several cats and now this forum. Ultimately what worked for me was adjusting the permissions of read/write on the Application Support folder.
1. open Macintosh HD
2. open a library
3. Select the Application Support folder.
3 right-click and select information. -Pop-up is displayed.
4. click on the padlock on the bottom right pop to unlock (user will have to enter the admin password)
5. last section, under sharing & permissions, ensure that the administrator and the user tries to install "writing &" can.
6. for the administrator and user, click options in the lower part (looks like a gear) and choose "apply to the elements included...". »
Retry installation...
