What is the problem with the update?

    Hello

If you cannot update the SP1 then your Vista is confused upward or SP1 is already installed.

How have you tried to update the SP1? Have you downloaded it from the MS page made one then you perform the update or have you used the Windows Update option in the Panel?

In your case, I recommend to check first if SP1 is installed.
If it was not installed, then rub the BONE using the free CCLeaner tool.

If you want to update the SP1 version, and then try again.

If that does not help then retrieve the operating system using the Toshiba drive and then try to upgrade Vista to the last State.

  • Cannot install Vista SP1, error 800F0816

I reset my computer to factory settings. I went on the installation of the updates that come with, until the time came to Vista SP1. I did the thing, he started to install and when it restarted it sent me to the thing system restore and it has not stopped. I was forced to 'pull the plug' and reset my computer to its previous state before installing SP1. Everything was OK until I did my format. Could this be a problem, that I don't have my original graphics card and RAM on my pc (I have them again).

What else could I give you, so that you can give me the best possible solution. I just want to know where the fault is and how to fix it. Even if I have to buy new hardware or something like that. Could it be, because I did a format and I have all the drivers and other updates, so that my computer crashes after I turn it on in the morning?

Summary: I have bad installation of Vista SP1 and would be grateful for any advice, see details below.

    B A C K G R O U N D:

I am running Vista Home Premium (32-bit version) and I need to upgrade Adobe create Suite 3 (CS3) to CS4. The problem comes from the fact that CS4 requires Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) and I'm unable to install SP1.

I really, really want to avoid storing new factory setting and re-install Vista... So, I would be very grateful if there is someone out there who could offer some advice to help me correct my current system with SP1, allowing installation both need the software Adobe CS4. Someone has an idea of what I might try next?

    E R R O R D E S C R I P T I O N:

After trying to install the Vista SP1, I get the following under Windows Update error code: "WindowsUpdate_80004004" "WindowsUpdate_dt000" Leading to this following error occurs:

    1. SP1 is installed and Vista claims that it is correctly installed (it takes a few hours...)
    2. Computer is restarted and 3 updates are applied to the system. The first of these takes forever and housing is 98% completion for a few hours, not a sign of healty I guess...
    3. Computer is then restarted again (or maybe it goes directly from 2) 3) without a re-boot inbetween?) and now I am facing a window called "Start up repair" telling me "your computer is unable to boot"... here I just have to click Next and the computer now spends in the order of 45 minutes to fix the system. When it's done, Vista starts but without SP1 and Windows journal showing the unsuccessful attempt to install KB936330 entry more an upgrade.

I tried to install the SP1 with these configurations, all attempts to exactly the same error as described in detail above:

    • update of the "normal route" via automatic windows standalone
    • Downloaded the stand-alone SP1: unsuccessful (I read somewhere that has helped other users...)
    • disabled wifi: unsuccessful (I read somewhere that has helped other users...)

  • Satellite A200-TR6 - cannot install Vista SP1

I have Windows Update automatically installs updates the value, but it fails to install SP1. Specifically, I had SP1 in my file "Updates on hold" for a few months now, but it never installs. When I try and do it manually (as in by selecting 'Install now'), he goes through most of the process and then said it didn't and he'll try again. It restarts, try to install it again, then after 45 minutes reports that it cannot.

I remember reading somewhere that it was due to an incompatibility with the driver for the built-in webcam, but there is never presented solutions. Any ideas?

  • Cannot install Vista SP1 on Equium P200

Says Windows installs, then stops, starts to set up, but then returns the changes. Anyone else had similar and then successful problems to install. This on windows vista edition Home premium 32-bit on Equium P200.

Checked for all the updates on Vista, perfectly up-to-date. Also stop Firewall etc. Can someone help with this problem?

    Hello

It's funny you say that, because my friend has exactly the same problem as you! (but is not on a laptop, on a standard desktop configuration).

When the service pack installs it checks for incompatible software during installation. What I would recommend would be to backup your data and install Service Pack 1 _directly_ after recovery of product and then install the 3 rd party software you want to install.

(Especially the burning of programs/language packs being installed), I found that this has harmed the configuration causing the cancellation of the installation.

If you give that to try and see what happens and if it doesn't work then come back and we can see what it can be.

When my friend re-installed Windows and the Service Pack because it worked, allowing him to install its own software on top.

    Installation/Recovery > all Windows updates > Service Pack 1 > 3rd party software

    I hope this helps

WIndows Update asks me to install Vista SP1. I did and got into the infamous infinite loop of SP1 (infinite loop ' configuration updates stage 3 of 3 0% "with Vista SP1). • I had problems to install Vista SP1 on different computers 2 Scared of Vista SP1.

I had problems installing Vista SP1 on 2 different computers and have had to reinstall OS and at the same time, after the reinstallation of Vista, Windows update has updated all the updates up to SP1 and I'm afraid to click on it.  I just finished rebuilding my laptop and all important updates and stopped at SP1.  I ran the System Readiness tool update on my desktop and am really GUN-SHY click on SP1.  Is there something else I can look for or take into account before clicking GO?  I was really upset when the laptop was working fine without it and against my instinct clicked on install when Windows update finally offered it.  I was surprised, that he had not come forward.  I have HP Pavilion, AVG and it is on both machines.   On the desktop I had updated SP1 when it first came out, and something zapped my video card and had to install a video card to see what was going on.  Finally I had to buy another HP motherboard.  It was not cheap.  I'm really scared to click on install. And I would like to put into practice what I preach to end-users, but experience twice shot dark me and path of restoration.  Thank you.

I'm back - I'M MY technician.  I support experience dating back to the beginning of the 1990s.  I tried your advice and humiliated.  What I have to lose - I said. If this does not work, I'll reformat and start over.   here goes.

I reformatted, reinstalled OEM in new condition.  Bypassed the Code Purple HP tattoos on their generation, where we replaced the MB that I had.
Uninstalled Norton, installed the Norton remover.
Installed MS Security essentials.   Yet once, I said why not.  try it.
Installed all the updates that Microsoft had to offer.   Have to him. I said.
    It took almost two days.
System has all updates included SP1 and SP and anything withdrew automatic update of Ms.
    Ok.
browser, flash, drivers, software for personal use
    System is being run-
Scanned primary and any secondary t.o.d. after reconnecting them - disconnected for the reformat.

There are other questions which seem to me with ISP but I meet with them, or open a new question.  For now, Vista SP1 and 2 are in.

Oh and if anyone has a HP, which gets a code purple error after entering the process of restoration - Shift and F10 while the purple error code is on the screen and rename files from HP in the form of command prompt to convey this purple code and continue with the installation.  I had to find this info on the site of HP after the first reformat.

and another thing.  I had to take my firewall router a notch to allow download of the Norton removal tool.  Why they still use FTP for one simple download is beyond me.  -

    Nice day

  • How to install Vista SP1 after that 947366 troubleshooting has failed?

I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I want to install SP1 (and, eventually, SP2 before the April deadline, deadline of 2010). I tried the "Windows Update" - it did not work. I downloaded the installation manual - it did not work. I tried searching for an answer in the forum "Install Vista, upgrade and Acivate", and Mick Murphy (Microsoft Partner) referred me to this forum, the forum "Windows Update". This is probably the right forum to deal with SP1 installation problems vis a vis Vista. Could someone please offer some advice on what would be my next step in the installation of Vista SP1 32-bit? I hope that someone else has experienced this similar problem. I did much research on Google, nothing helps. I hope someone in "Microsoft answers" can provide a response to my "question of Microsoft." Again, my question is: what should I do to get SP1 is installed if resolution 1 to 4 of the resolution at this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947366 failed? The above is the most accurate description of the problem that I can provide, including the specific error codes and I have already taken measures. Please please please help!

    Thank you!

    Paulbyl,
I suggest that you first run the disk error check and make sure your player is no problem.  Then, run the System File Checker to check for problems with the system files.  If he can find and correct and rerun the System Update tool .  At this point, you must perform a clean boot , and then try to start the installation of stand alone for SP1.

If SFC finds issues it cannot fix you will need to perform an inplace of Vista upgrade.  Follow the steps described in this article.
