Cannot launch LR photoshop (new PS 2015.5)

Huh?  I just ran the update of CC photoshop and then I was in LR and went to edit a file in photoshop and got a message saying that it cannot run photoshop.  I'm on a Macbook Pro running El Capitan.  Is there an easy way to solve this?

I would really appreciate the help!

Until you replied, I restarted it and now I can modify LR into PS, however, to get my return filters, I opened two windows in the finder... one for 2015 of PS and one for PS 2015.5.  I copied 2015 to 2015.5 plugin files and everything works fine.  Thank you.

    Hi Masako,

    Sorry for the problems of launching with Photoshop.

    • On your computer, go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015
    • Right-click on the icon Photoshop.exe and click on run as administrator
      • Check if it opens or not.
    • If Photoshop doesn't start at all, then uninstall Photoshop
    • Restart the computer
    • Now, re - install Photoshop again.

    I have an active subscription to Adobe creative suite 2015 and model of Adobe has just installed on my iphone. I also installed Photoshop CC (version 2015.1.2 on my Mac OS running. X version 10.10.5 Yosemite - and not the latest OS). I also installed creative cloud that seems to work fine (I checked the preferences of creative cloud and all is well. I am running version 3.7.0.272 and sync is on)

    My understanding is that I can start to create a design for the layout for an iphone application using Adobe application model, then continue working on Photoshop by transferring the file Photoshop CC 2015 through the creative cloud application.

    Everything seems to be installed and working fine. However, when I create a new project on my iphone using Adobe Comp and send it to Photoshop CC, the system said that the operation was successful. When I select creative cloud by clicking its icon in the menu bar of a Mac screen, then active, I have 2 choices:

    If I select "Show on the Web", I see it in the category "mobile creations.

    If I select 'Open folder' I don't see my folder.

    If I open photoshop (or keep it open when I try my iphone of CC file transfer with all that communicate over the same wireless network), I do not see this file. Moreover, I see libraries that I save on CC model of Adobe.

    Conversely, if I save a psd file on my 'Creative Cloud Files' folder, I see it when I click on creative brief Cloud/assets/Open, but I don't see it when I click on the cloud/resources / "view on the web.

    Of course, there is something I could be missing or do not understand.

    Perfect. What I was hoping. Logging in and out on the device and the office serves two purposes: it works as a 'reset' AND if there are inconsistencies with log-in, they surface during the process.

  • Trying to update Photoshop CC to 2015.1.1 and to u44m2p34.

    I'm a u44m2p34. I found another link of forum (cannot install updates of Creative Cloud) that had several options. I tried all, including the Adobe PCD, backup and CAPS files rename them. I tried this and get a U44M2P28. I tried to uninstall Photoshop and Lightroom that are the only ones I installed. I then ran the Adobe CC cleaner. I reinstalled Abobe cloud app and then Photoshop. I tried to update and getting the same exact error. I have 64-bit Windows 8.1. I saw where several users have tried the same thing without success. I need a fix as soon as possible and I don't want to spend 6 hours on the phone as the other horror stories I've read. I am a computer scientist used to work with suppliers and the software that buy us at home. This is unacceptable. I need a fix.

    Apparently, Adobe has included was last updated in the global download if you through the CC app. So I uninstalled Photoshop new and updated through computer application says now its 2015.1.1 without having to launch the update patch...

    I wonder if it's going to happen on the next update. No doubt.

    Well, I don't know what to do, but this morning, computers are behaving like expected, is, can I change information in the metadata Panel to base so it sticks! However, computer #2, which updates a, first opened in the standard Panel, go to advanced showed no metadata, so I did a rapid-fire, connected my changed as usual, card reader to advanced and filled out the information on the screen. He proceeds to download as expected. I closed the bridge, disconnected the drive then reopened bridge and click on get photo icon. The Advanced dialog box now correctly open with all entries intact!

    Now, don't forget that I downloaded a shoot last week and had to enter the data for this special group, who, as soon as Photo Downloader (after successfully transferring images), returned to the standard. Clicking on advanced high the empty Panel.

    Computer #1, lacking the current updates of Bridge and Photoshop, retains any changes in the advanced Panel, while last week, I changed the copyright to 2017 images uploaded, you leave the bridge, reopened bridge called Photo Downloader and copyright read 2016. Today I did the same thing and stuck 2017.

    Sigh!

    I'll update #1 as soon as I post this message and make it back here.

    The conclusion is that the basic metadata as labeled in the Downloader Panel has no location except this Panel and cannot be changed to y. There seems to be a learning curve, me or the computer! I did Photoshop since 1999 ~ and digital Downloader sine 2008. I have never seen that before and I've had my share of missteps and holes of memory of mind, but this takes the cake! And even if it is the decline of the mind, having two computers different outcomes begs the question.

    It seems your preferences and cache files have not all permissions. There are two things you can do to solve this problem:

    1. provide full access to the preferences and cache of InDesign files, more information on ERROR when you try to launch

    2. or create a new user on your system admin and start InDesign from there.

    Its a problem of association of file on your system, please uninstall the Photoshop

    Restart the Machine

    Download and install again.

    I bought a NEW MACBOOK 2015 version and the battery is not not as advertised might work for 9 hours. Do I know what application or adjustment should I change/adjust in order to get the battery life up to 9 hours of battery life perfect? I'm just a user with light mail scanning and safari surf.

    My new macbook could only maximum operated from 7 hours fully charged same. Need expert help.

    Skimming it I can see that there are a number of frustrated users, while others have no problems. It is fairly typical of a computer problem. There are suggestions on how to reduce battery drain and to monitor the status of the battery. Interesting to read but no promises.

    Have you looked at the Knowledge Base article Firefox opens several times empty tabs or windows after clicking on a link ? There is some good information in there that should help you to solve the problem.

  • How to close the instance of Firefox launched via file/new window without killing all instances of Firefox?

    Before the last update Firefox, running on Ubuntu if it makes a difference, I was able to select close on the file menu (and if memory is also by clicking the x on the last tab) to exit an instance of Firefox open via file new window.

    With the 9.x update this no longer seems to be possible. If I choose the file altogether starting an instance that was launched via the new window, all instances of Firefox away!

    It's embarrassing because I have to leave all the instances that have been launched.

    I tried closing last tab add on, and it allows me to close the last tab content but still leaves the instance running with a blank tab.

    Is there a setting somewhere that I missed to restore the operating mode to exit the additional instances of Firefox without killing all the previous configuration?

    Each window must have its own close button (big X in the right corner.)
    But it depends on the 'Theme' that you use in Ubuntu. This large X chould be a round point when you hover over the color changes. It could be on the left instead of the right site.
    This screenshot shows the close the left side, but always an X button.

    CTRL + SHIFT + W closed the window Active.
    CTRL + W closes the current tab.
