  • Pro XI Adobe Adobe pro DC and cannot open a PDF file without joining DC

I signed up for Adobe Pro XI with monthly payments and there are now some how went to Adobe pro DC and ask for me to sign for it and I cannot open any pdf document without joining DC. I don't want to join another that I already paid for Pro XI?

    Hey sarahc84140040,

If you use an Acrobat XI subscription, then you are eligible to use an upgrade to Acrobat DC without paying any extra.

You can install and activate your subscription DC Acrobat using the same Adobe ID credentials and access to your PDF documents.

Please try to connect and let me know how it goes.

  • Cannot open the PDF in Chrome, impossible to open the standalone player, cannot accept the EULA, etc..

    I use a Mac.

I try to open a PDF in Chrome - I open it fine in Adobe Reader if I download it. When I open it in Chrome, I get the message I have to accept the EULA and revive to open the PDF in Chrome.

I reinstalled Adobe, restarted Chrome and it works fine in Safari.

When I go to the applications folder and try to open Adobe Reader (which is different from opening a PDF file I recorded on my Mac). The menu bar appears but is not the "Adobe" "empty" file - nothing happens but the menu bar.

I searched all the stinking forums and nothing seems to work. It seems to be a persistent problem dealing with simple workarounds.

For example, I tried: Version of Adobe Reader X 10.1.3 - cannot open a PDF in the browser... - does not work

How can I get Reader to open on its own and accept the EULA?

    First remove the following files:

    (i) adobe Reader of / application

(II) in the folder/Library/Internet Plug - Ins:

    (1) AdobePDFViewer.plugin

    (2) AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

    (III) from ~/Library/Caches

    (1) com.adobe. *.

Now reinstall Adobe Reader. And launch the reader Application. Here come the EULA. Accept that and now you will be able to open PDFS in Safari.

Chrome is a browser not supported for Reader/Acrobat. You can check this in the Adobe release notes.

    Hope this will help you.

  • Cannot open a PDF file from a link in another PDF file

Hello, I'm having a strange problem on some of adobe readers my users. (2 users on PC windows 8.1)

I created a "choser app' (see image below) which is essentially a 'choser from one easy page" for the different "forms", I created which worked perfectly until this week. Basically, there are 12 buttons and when the user press one of these buttons, the form chosen live / app opens that they can then fill out and send required title.

However the 2 users who have problems, cannot open forms at all. They click on the button, but nothing happens at all. Software Adobe reader fits all just not as there are links to all.

Choser 'app' works on all my PC users except 2, so I know it isn't an error in location or make updates etc... Someone at - it clues or ideas.

I tried to go into preferences - manager of trust - internet access from PDF files - change the settings - PDF allow to access Web sites... but this made no difference to all the.

    Thank you

    Sara

is not serious I fixed it. If anyone else is having the same problem, so I fixed it by doing the following:

    Enhanced - Security Edition-Preferences

Uncheck "enable protected at startup mode" - restart adobe reader software

Oddly, I had not to uncheck it on any of my other PC users (Windows 7 & 8.1), but was necessary for some reason any on those trouble with opening PDF links from the 'app PDF selector.

  • Cannot open before PDF of the iPhone

Our customers send in emails that some of our users are viewing on their iPhone. When they send the message to other users, pdf files does not open. It gives an error message "there was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired. I tried to save the PDF on the desktop, and then try to open it with no success and the same error message. I also checked to make sure that the add-in is enabled.

We are on Acrobat X 32 bit 10.1.10 Standard and Windows 7 x 64 Pro / month last Outlook is the 32-bit version. Is that what the problem of ideas?

We are experiencing this same problem on my place of work.

The issue occurs intermittently, and whenever it happens, it is determined that the corrupt PDF attachment was sent from an iPhone (seems to be linked to iOS 9.3.x)

When a PC user tries to open the PDF file, receive an error message "Acrobat cannot open 'PDFname' because it is not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an attachment to e-mail and has not been correctly decoded.)"

The file is readable from an iPhone or from the Mac OS x native Viewer (does not open on Mac Adobe either).

Curiously, the damaged PDF files CAN be repaired by opening the PDF said on a Mac using the native application "Preview" and "save under" from there. The resulting PDF file can then be opened to PC, Mac, Adobe, etc...

I really want to make sure you that Apple is aware of this problem and is working to patch. It seems to be an iOS problem and not an Exchange problem.

Instead of opening the e-mail from a shortcut program, on the desktop and open the e-mail program on the start menu to:

Go to: all programs, then select Microsoft Mail.

Then the attachments will be opened.

It worked for me, it's worth a try.

Good luck to you.  I know that's no fun.
