Cannot open Acrobat Reader

Cannot open Acrobat Reader. Got an error due to problem of Windows system, closed Windows automatically it.

You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode (Edit |) Preferences | (Advanced) security).

Otherwise, download, unzip and run the attached registry script. It allows to disable the Safe_mode in the registry.

  • Cannot open acrobat 9 pro after upgrade mac and change of hard disk

I worked with the Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Acrobat Prop 9 years without any problem. Recently, I had to put my mac OS to El Capitan and replace the hard drive. Even though I reinstalled all data and programs of a time machine back up the new disk, since this happened my pro reader adobe acrobat does not open. It freezes. I don't know it is a compatibility issue with El Capitan or a problem created from the new hard drive, but I would appreciate anyone help and advice on how to solve this problem.

    Thank you.

There is not acrobat reader pro.  There is acrobat pro (costs money and you have a serial number) and adobe reader (free and no series number).

assuming that you have acrobat pro, uninstall everything which is currently installed by using the adobe uninstaller program.

then install properly using your serial number and the installation file.  also, you need allow unidentified publishers:

    Available downloadable Setup files:

Help download and installation to Prodesigntools links can be found on the most linked pages.  They are essential; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click on a link that does not have these listed steps, open a second window by using the link to Lightroom 3 to see these "important Instructions".

  • Can not get a window when opening Acrobat Reader

When you open Adobe Acrobat V2015.010.20056 on a MacPro OS10.9.5 running, no window is present and no files can be opened. I have a Macbook air with OS Yosemite anr the same version on this unit works properly.

I have pdf files that will be opened with Acrobat DC application which is part of the suite CC.  I deleted the existing DC Acrobat application that was on my computer and then reinstalled it from the Adobe Web site.  The same problem is present.  I can open the Acrobat V2015.101.20056 directly and without window is present, and if I use the file menu and choose a well known file, nothing happens.  Less than a week ago. the app installed Acrobat displays the document.

    Update:

I removed the application Acrobat DC and installed a new copy of Acrobat Reader V11.0.14.  Everything works fine now.  I don't know whence came the Acrobat DC.  When I used the "Get Info" menu and tried to change the app open in Acrobat Reader choice, only the selected file was changed when I said to use the player for all .pdf files.  All other files has always tried to use Acrobat DC, and of course, nothing has been posted.

  • Is there a better way to remove the toolbar "Frequently used tools" (which I've never used!) to open whenever I open Acrobat reader. rather than uninstall Acrobat and use another PDF reader?

Is there a better way to eliminate the "frequently used tools.
toolbar (which I've never used!) to open whenever I open Acrobat
drive. rather than uninstall Acrobat and use another PDF reader?

    Hi jg49392310,

You can disable the tool pane with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC was last updated, see this note cover hide the tools Panel in Acrobat and Acrobat Reader DC at all times.

  • error 1648 No. sequence, impossible to install last updated - also cannot uninstall Acrobat Reader

I get error 1648, no sequence and the last update, I downloaded will not be installed.   The resolution is supposed to be uninstall acrobat reader and start over.

but the page control uninstall program won't let me uninstall acrobat reader either.  He said as no sequence.

So, Adobe doesn't have a program to uninstall acrobat reader that seems to be corrupted?   I can still read the pdf, but I can't install the latest update to Acrobat Reader.

You can try to use this tool first remove all traces of your computer:

    http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Then you can download the complete player offline installer from

    http://get.Adobe.com/reader/Enterprise/

After downloading, restart your computer and run the Setup program before anything else.

  • Cannot reload Acrobat Reader after the trial version of XI

Ugh... tried a trial of Acrobat XI... don't want, can't afford it, now can not disable and re - charge the player. 'Default' to ' still want to buy it? No. But I want to read my documents. I deleted the application several times, but it keeps popping up. What's the cost to try the software? That you then can get the free version more? In addition, there is no one to e-mail or chat or call... It's that or go to Twitter, I guess.

    Hi kateh4945380,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

I would recommend you to go home, download Acrobat/Reader cleaning tool using this link: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs.

After running this tool and uninstall the program completely, download Adobe Reader using this link: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions

Hope that this would not solve the problem.

Please return back if you face any problem.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot open Acrobat User

I just installed Acrobat DC on a users machine. I'm able to run OK on my login (the domain admin account), but they are unable to open it to all (tried as a normal user and a local administrator).

Appearing in Manager program tasks for a second, then quits. I got it running on this connection before, but he would close Acrobat after having been open for 30 seconds.

The latest version of DC on a fully patched windows Pro laptop running 7.

    Thank you, Steve.

It seems to me, at least, to have found a solution for work this week of. A step by step guide for help people getting only the error message that I posted, here:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/error-Acrobat-8-Professional-cannot.html

The second solution worked for me, as I was able (using the 8, installed by disk) to get a screen up to ask my serial number. I put that & voila!

Your thoughts make me nervous about this hard fix but I'll take what I can for now.

    Best,

    Stacey

  • Cannot open Acrobat DC in creative cloud desktop application

Acrobat DC is listed as an application installed on the application desktop creative cloud, but instead of having an "Open" button appears, ago just 'to day' poster in its place, and the application does not open. And pointing to the "gear" icon shows "unavailable uninstall." This laptop is running Win 8.1. All my CC apps work correctly on my Win 7 PC to office, but not this laptop. In desperation, I use a trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, but I prefer using CC app that I pay for my subscription. Any suggestions?

Thank you once again, to try to help. Had to call Adobe and spend a few hours on the help line. Problem was two-fold: 1) my Webroot security software CCleaner have been set such as CC Office updates have been blocked. (2) many files, folders, and registry keys remained old Acrobat installation and were not deleted by the cleanup of Acrobat tool; they had to be found and remove it manually. What a pain! In any case, I'm now back operational.

  • Cannot open the Adobe reader protected mode due to incompatibility with your system configuration.

Original title: trying to open a PDF file problems

I use Windows 7 on a 32-bit computer with Firefox and Adobe Reader X 1.  Try to open a PDF with any application or attempt to open Adobe Reader via the icon programs, product now the following error message:

«Adobe reader could not open protected mode due to incompatibility with the system configuration you.» Want to open Acrobat Reader with protected Mode off? "Answer either 'Yes' to this question produces:"Adobe could not load the DLL base. "

On other occasions, trying to open the pdf file has directed me to an interface recommending me to open it with my Canon printer.  Try to change the default program used on a PDF file generates the above error messages previously.

I reinstalled Adobe and who did it.  Clearly a problem for Adobe.  Regret not having tried that earlier, I thought that it couldn't be that simple.

  • Plugin check says that the plugin Acrobat Reader (10.0.1.434) is an outdated version. However, I downloaded the latest version of Acrobat and installed. Is there a problem on my PC environment or with the control plugin?

1 did the plugin check June 10 - got the message that the plugin Acrobat Reader for Firefox and Netscape was an outdated version. You press the update on the page has been redirected to the Adobe site.
    2. download the latest version, AdbeRdr1001_en_US.exe, and then ran the executable locally on the PC. The updated normally. Note: I didn't uninstall the old Acrobat reader before running the executable file.
    3. I went to the plugin check page and I always get the obsolete message for this plugin. Restarting the system (i.e. overnight) and repeated the check, with the same results.
4 did you open Acrobat Reader app, you tap Help and then search for updates - no new updates have been found. Have, run test Mozilla (Mozilla Privacy Policy PDF) without any problem.
    5. what version of the plugin that should be saved in the Add-ons Manager on my PC?
    6. Please advise on the appropriate action.

For those who have had this problem. Adobe has released a fix yesterday and you need to update your Adobe Reader immediately. The latest version is 10.1.0. Once you updated your Firefox Adobe Acrobat plug-ins will be automatically updated to 10.1.0.534.

If you receive a notification of update from Adobe, you can open Adobe and go to: help > check for updates
