  • Cannot open jpeg images in my email. They are deformed with a grey block.

Cannot open jpeg images in my email.  They are deformed with a grey block. I see only a tiny portion of the upper part of the image.  Tried to save the image on my disk hard but could not be opened.  For example: If the size of the image, I'm saving about 800 K, I'll save the image (that I can not open) in a folder on my hard drive.  When I check the properties of the image, it is much smaller, around 8 or 9 K.  Spent an hour on the phone with HP, but couldn't find a solution.  When starting my computer in Mode without fail and go to my email account, I can see the full image.  Would appreciate suggestions in deca a system recovery.  Thank you

    Larry D.

    Hi Larry,

Cannot open any jpeg full image. I'll help you with this problem.

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    2. what security software is installed on the computer?

    3. are you able to open any image with other file extensions?

    4. what application you use to open the images?

As you can see the full image in safe mode, let's try the following steps.

    Method 1.

A clean boot to test if any element of service or third party application startup is causing this issue.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Once you have finished troubleshooting, follow step 3 in the article to start on normal startup.

    Method 2.

You can also try disabling the firewall and check if that helps.

Turn the firewall on or off Windows: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Note: You should not turn off Windows Firewall unless you have another firewall enabled. Turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

    Method 3.

You can run the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

    Microsoft safety scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Warning of Security Scanner: there could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

    I hope this helps.

  • Cannot open the file due to a header error Error Message.

    Hello

If you're still trying to import an audio file (wav) in Adobe Premiere (or any other program) and get this error "Error Message.
Cannot open the file due to a header error"

Try to download this utility (found my copy Guide Fassoft Audio Converter of Tom.  I imported my wav file in the utility and then converted 'back' to another wav file in another folder.  And fixed it.

There is a limit of 5 minutes on the trial version, but my audio file was less than 5 minutes, so it worked for me.

I don't know that there are other similar utilities, so try any utility "Audio Converter" to see if it will fix your audio file.

It worked for me.  Perhaps others have alternatives they would recommend.

    Hello

I found a better (free!) utility to do this. (The free version of Fassoft Audio Converter has audio length limits).

It is called MediaHuman Audio Converter and I found this site: http://www.mediahuman.com/audio-converter/welcome.html

MediaHuman has worked on my windows 10 computer and does the work to 'fix' the question header error. Import the wav damaged and then exported to a new folder.

  • "Cannot open the file due to a header error"

I got a sequence already edited, I have windows 8, updated to the latest version (still no 8.1) and after the update, the videos that I had edited are offline and when trying to connect to display the error message "cannot open the file due to an error header. What could be? the video is already published, but is now in offline mode.  Help, please.

If you can read the files in a media player, you may be able to correct them. Avidemux can open and save again without re-encoding. If there is just a bad game, you can also cut with avidemux. If this does not work, you can try to re - encode.

  • Cannot open jpeg image

I use Adobe photoshop 7.0 and usually when I open a jpeg image it just opens but some jpeg images will not open correctly. There is this image to jpeg when I try to open it it either displays an error message that it is not the right type of file or shows a dialog box, as if I'm trying to open a new blank page custom and wonder what size, transparency, etc. and no matter what I select always opens a blank page and I couldn't see the image that is supposed to be there. In other programs, it will open normally and show normal jpeg image in the image viewer or GIMP image editor but curiously won't open in Adobe Photoshop. I tried to open the same file in the GIMP image editor and open the file but when I try to save the file, strangely he advises me to export the file before you save it. I think that the jpeg file may have the invisible layers that photoshop can't handle, but I could not get rid of the layers correctly. I tried to flatten the image and to export the file to a normal jpeg file and remove all the invisible layers, but even after all this, when I save it as a normal jpeg file and open it again in adobe photoshop it still cannot open the file. Anyone know how I can force the program to display the image and or get rid of it permanently from the weird layers or markers that prevented it to open in Adobe Photoshop?

Thank you for your help Nancy. Your process worked almost completely. The exception is that when I tried to copy the image to a Web page as Firefox (I have not internet Explorer), it became not the Adobe Photoshop Clipboard and therefore could not be pasted. However, I simply recorded the image of a Firefox window as a different file name and that solved the problem. Now the copied image can be opened in Adobe Photoshop. Thank you for your help.

    Sincerely,

    Jon

  • Cannot open these files due to internet security settings blocks. Help!

Whenever I'm looking for something in my menu start a few days ago, I get this:

And whenever I try to open one of these files, it is said that they can not be opened due to Internet security, I have reset the settings of Internet Explorer and still nothing happened. I don't know what to do and it does not affect other programs as I can not open them no more. I scanned the computer several times using windows defender and other Antivirus software removed all viruses and it is still not affected.

    Hi Khaled,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    a. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

    b. What is the exact error message you get?

Usually, this happens because of misconfigured Internet Explorer security settings. Reset Internet Explorer usually solves the problem. However, as you have already tried these steps, I suggest you to try the following methods and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Run the Internet Explorer performance Troubleshooter and check if it helps. It checks for common issues, such as whether you have enough space on your hard drive to store temporary Internet files.

Open the troubleshooting Internet Explorer Performance Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type Troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Click view all, and then click Internet Explorer Performance.

    Method 2.
If the problem persists, I suggest that you temporarily disable the Windows Firewall and disable the firewall in the anti-virus software if you have installed on the computer and then check the issue.

Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3:

Boot the system in cleaning mode and eliminate defective service causing the issue.

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.
How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: See "how to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to prepare the computer to start as usual after a repair.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.
