  When I try to open an e-mail in Windows Live Mail, I get this message. This file doesn't have a program associated with it for performing this action. Install a program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel. How can I solve this problem?

  In the section default programs from the Control Panel, search for Windows Live Mail in the list and select "Set as default".

  Because you are using Windows 7, you can find a direct shortcut to the default programs on your Start menu.

  This problem can be solved first Outlook.exe location which can be found here: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft Office\Office14.

  Then click with the right button on Outlook.exe, and then click Properties. On the Compatibility tab, clear the check box that says "run this program in compatibility mode". Then click Ok, and then restart Outlook.

  b. then highlight this registry key:
  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail
  right-click and choose export to back it up. You can save it to your desktop. It will save the key as a measure of protection.
   
  c. make sure that Windows Mail is closed and right click on the key again, and then choose Remove.
  d. then try to start Windows Mail and see if it is now open.

  The feature to directly open the Microsoft Works document is not available via webmail.
  You will need to save the document attached to the computer, and then open the works document.

• Cannot open Windows Mail except via the broadband provider - and the Inbox has disappeared
