  Follow the steps below to change the notification of your computer settings and check if it helps:

  b) locate the Interactive Services Detection service.

  c) right click on the service and stop it .

  Note: Interactive Services detection allows notification of user input for interactive services user, which enables access to dialogs created by interactive services when they appear. If this service is stopped, notifications of new interactive service dialogs will no longer function and there may be no access to the interactive services dialog boxes. If this service is disabled, the notifications of and access to the new interactive service dialogs will no longer function.

• LaserJet 1018 - cannot print documents

  The printer has been connected to my router so it can be shared. He worked like that for a few months, but a few weeks ago, my wife said that she could not print word or pdf from his laptop (Win 7 32). She was able to print a test page so that she could use my computer to print (Win 7 64).

  Now I'm unable to print most of the things on my computer. I removed the router and hooked directly to my computer with no result.

  There is no special formatting in Word. I open Word and just type in random letters. I then click on print, printing box, I click 'ok' and the printer immediately spits out a blank page. If I click on the 'Properties' button I get an error message "Word cannot bring up the Properties dialog box because the printer returned an error."

  When I go to print in Excel I get an error immediately "current printer is unavailable. Select another printer. "If I select print preview mode, I get the same error. Once again no particular presentation, just text randomly.

  I have re-downloaded the drivers of HP and reinstalled without change.

  You know that your connection is good because your device manager is refreshing.  This leaves us with a hardware problem on the printer.  It seems that your money would be better spent on a newer model, and then buying spare parts or sending it in for repairs.

  Something that comes out is the fact that you are not able to view the properties of the printer from Word.  This suggests corruption driver, you should be able to see even when the printer is offline.  I wonder if this is the real to display properties from your list of devices and printers too.  If Yes, then it may be a simple driver corruption problem that can always be fixed.

  Before you remove your printer, try to download a few different flavors of the UPD and test them.  You can choose to PCL5, PCL6 and PS, each has its own advantages and peculiarities.  Since you're on Win7x64 you will want to make sure you delete the driver and software and reinstalling.  Which will make sure you are reinstalling a table shave and remove any potential change to the next driver.

  Uninstall printer and remove driver (Win7 x 64):

  1. go in the beginning > Type devices and printers in the search > select from the results

  2. highlight your printer object and right click

  3. choose Remove the instrument

  4 put highlight something else in the list

  5. click on the button of properties of the print in the toolbar Server

  6. Select the tab drivers

  7 highlight the appropriate printer driver

  8. click on remove

  9. check the option remove driver and Driver Package when prompted

  10. click on OK

  I see that you are unable to print the PDF scanned documents with your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help.

  You are able to print any other format PDF on the Mac, or the question is just limited to your scanned PDF files? Whether the soft friendly PDF work with - Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader?

  In the meantime, I recommend you try the following steps:

  • Uninstall your printer - click here for instructions.
  • Fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.
  • Once you have finished running the utility above, restart your computer.
  • Finally, click here to reinstall your printer.

  I am running Windows 8 on my PC.  When I went to access my documents I got this error message: "Documents.library - ms" is no longer.  I received a similar message when I tried to access my photos, music or video libraries.  What can I do to fix this?  My two college-age children have here documents they need to access.  I would appreciate any advice you can give.

  (a) go to the libraries in Windows Explorer

  (b) right click any folder gives you an error.

  (c) delete the folder.

  Every day that I get a message that I need to install update KB2653956.  I have download and restart my computer, but it goes back to the previous settings when you set up.  Then, I get error code 80071aa7 when it fails.  I tried the Mr FixIt, reset Windows Update, disable my antivirus and firewall and I always get a reminder to install the update.   It is a very common problem and you can solve easily by Googling it. Basically, go to Edit - Preferences - (protection) and uncheck "Enable protected at Startup Mode".

If I click on "Add a printer" in the menu devices and printers, I get the following message: "Windows can't open add printer."  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. "I rebooted the computer and the same thing continues to happen.  I did a system restore and the printers are all back.  It seems that every time there is a change to any software, it creates this problem.  Help, please!   If you open WordPad [start all programs accessories WordPad, type a phrase and click on print, are all printers listed?] If so, is yor actuial printer it listed?

  Please report the exact words of any error message you get, and you're trying to print.

  In the meantime:

  1. Remove all the drivers for your printer installed printer.
  2. Download current drivers of htis web of the manufacturer of the printer.
  3. Install them according to the instructions.
