I have a HP PhotoSmart 6510 - b211a all-in-One Printer. A member of the family has tried to fix a paper jam by pulling with force a stuck piece of paper on the bottom of the printer. I'm trying to get the scanner to work on my new HP 6510 all-in-one. I am able to use the printer and wireless connection is good, but I get a message that says that the Scanner is not connected to the computer. I just saw a similar post on this forum, but there was no answer.

    Hi bastriet,

HP has designed a quick and easy tool that diagnoses and solves many problems of printing, scanning and connectivity: The HP Print and Scan doctor. HP recommend you to download and install Print and scan doctor no matter what time you need to solve a problem with your HP printer from the link below.

Since the upgrade to Sierra lost spring records in Mail (even if turned on accessibility and works well on the desktop)

I'm guessing just what this may mean. If you have a closed list of mailboxes and you are trying to opening spring, you must place the cursor on the side of the Mail Viewer window, hover over not mailboxes as he used to work.

It is a bit difficult if the window is on the edge of the screen and you have several desktop computers you can change the workstations when you drag a message to the edge of the screen. Just trying to fly over the left side of the list where gather the blue dots.

  • Maintenance of printhead HP Photosmart 6510/replacement?

I have a HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m CD035a of model that comes with having its printhead failure (CN643A).  Although I work for HP (Enterprise Services), it is too expensive to replace so I bought a Photsmart 6510 AIO.  The B209a-m, I liked how I could remove the print head Assembly and to clean up the grime of the ink of ramps, etc..  It seems that on my new 6510, the print head Assembly can be without mowing of the cart - but once that loose, there is no authorization to remove the print head for cleaning.

This can be accomplished?  I have to remove a screw or am I missing something?  As this is a new printer, I was trying to assess if this is a negative in my choice, if it cannot be removed for the maintenance cleaning.

The only thing I have to add is:

I managed to remove the print head and used a few head cleaning Epson I've had, in order to eliminate the heads black and color. I guess that distilled water would also work. After cleaning the black works well again.

Remove the cover as described previously by others.

After you have removed the cover, remove the print head ASSEMBLY:

1 carefully remove the film (large 5/16") close looking for band that crosses the print head Assembly by; releasing

the tension on the left side by moving it to the print head, on the right end drag strip out of the corner

crochet.   Note the marks and which is the top and left and right side for correct orientation at the meeting.

    2. Remove money (2) springs to the rear of the door-printhead

    3. slide and tilt forward support

    4. carefully remove the ribbons of the support cables (just pull on)

5 have your way of the print head!

    6. then, I shed cleaner down the screens from the top, then slung to force the vacuum through the head on the

    background. I did several times.

7 Sling on dry excess fluid, pat with a paper towel

8 reinstall the cables in water, then put back in the printer, the springs and then re-install the thin layer as the Strip through

guides on the support (do not forget to install in the same way, it has been deleted in the measure of the top and bottom and that end)

on the right) and then the lid as described above.

A note: I got a Kodak printer and went through the same thing with her whenever he had sat for several days without use. Cost me a fortune in ink running the cleaning. Looks like HP's more Kodak. My HP printers with ink cartridges that have the printhead on them are no problem. If they do not print right, just throw away them and with the new cartridge, you also have a new print head. It looks like if I continue to have this problem with this 65510 will travel the path of the Kodak, in the trash! Had the same problem with the Epsons so I guess all that's left are brother and Canon!

Hope this helps some of you.

FLASH: 25/03/14 arrested black print again! After extracting new hands in the dirty, I found the real problem that everyone is probably cause trouble. There are pipes on the printhead carrier going to the vacuum pump and him on the side of the printer in a tray in felt. Black hose of my print head was completeyl plugged with dried ink. I could rinse with distilled water and a syringe. This work is not for the faint of heart, but if you tear systematically in such things and that the printer is out of warranty you have to lose! I could guide you how to do it if you're interested, but a bit long for here. Write me if you want information ([under the direction of privacy]). I tell myself that these pipes do not allow to draw the head during the cleaning process, the ink of the pump so it dries just in the head. Good luck.

    Any help would be appreciated!

As I mentioned in the op, I tried the HP e-print application.

  • Issue update Compaq 6510 processor b

    Hello

I'm about to upgrade the laptop processor for my Compaq 6510 b-computer that currently has the Intel Celeron 540 (1.86 GHz) processor. I studied the latest international document quickspecs (p. 4), which says that the laptop must be compatible with the Intel Core 2 Duo T7700, which I would be interested in upgrading to.

However, I noticed that there are 4 different "versions" of this processor on the market of the product descripition Intel. These "versions" are called: SLA43, SLAF7, SLA3M and SLADL. Now I'm about to buy the tray (no not in box) SLAF7-model, but would like confirmation that this model works with the Compaq 6510 b-computer laptop?

I did some additional research on the 4 models and thought I'd do a short summary on them even, because someone might find it useful. From my understanding and looking at the "'Ordering / sSpecs / Steppings"-page on the left side of theIntel product description page, both latter models (SLA3M, SLADL) are models of Ball Grid Array (BGA), which means they are soldered on the motherboard and so I can't use them for an upgrade. " However, the SLA43 and SLAF7 models are the two tables in grid Pin (PGA) and so I should be able to upgrade to one of these. The only difference between the SLA43 a SLAF7 of models is that they have different steps: "E1" and "G0". However, it seems that in practice this difference in step by step is an important place. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you in advance for your help!

The best way to get more information is by checking the specs on the numbers for INTEL processors optionally simplify research candidate upgrade.

  • HP 6510 - areas shaded on scanned images

When I scan an image or document using a HP 6510 scanned images are dark and shaded areas along the vertical edges of the completed scans. The cover is closed all the way and the shadows are not part of the original image/document. What could cause this problem and how to fix it?

I have scanned hundreds of images with a C5280 printer/scanner and never had any problems with it. Since I bought the 6510, I didn't have problems with it, it's a true lemon IMO. Does anyone know if HP is planning a recall on this model?

Resolved: The problem proved to be the scanner cover. It allows a small amount of light to enter along the edge of the hinge. After you verify that the lid has been correctly installed (tabs of hinge in place and the lid placed correctly in addition to glass) I found that putting something, like a book or my hand on top of the lid while the machine is scanning has solved the problem.

I miss my old HP Photosmart C5280.

  • How can I scan with OCR with my hp Photosmart 6510? I want to scan to a text of the parameter file.

I got a new Photosmart 6510 all-in-one printer. I have the ability to scan to a .jpg file ot a .tiff or a .pdf file - just like the pictures, no form of text that can be edited. On my old photosmart printer (a 2572) I was able to analyze OCR allows you to place the scanned document in a file with the Edition of the text, how can I do that with this new printer? I thought I was adding features, do not remove them. I use the 6510 wireless on a home network. I am also on the Windows Vista system.

    Thank you

  • 6510 B211a: switching between identical 6510 B211a printers

I have 2 different places the same printers and carry a laptop Dell with OS 7. Whenever I change places I need to download a new driver to get the active printer to work. Being a newbe to this process, I accepted this as the standard, but I hope that now there is an easier way to switch connection.

    Hey @Jimbo619,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand you have two printer e-all-in-one HP Photosmart 6510 at different locations and are looking for an easier way to tell the difference between the two Photosmarts on your Windows 7 computer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. The best way to tell the difference between the two printers and to avoid reinstallation at the different locations would be to 'Rename' printers. Then, when you at the various places you simply choose the printer that matches the name that you gave to this very spot. If that sounds confusing to you now, he must make a lot more sense at the end of this post! Can I please you follow the steps below.

Now, because you have already installed your HP Photosmart several times we will have to do an uninstall to remove all traces of the printers on the computer before you run the hotfix. In this way, you will avoid having duplicates of your printers on your system.

    Step 1: Uninstall the device:

If you use a USB cable connection please disconnect this cable from the computer or the printer, everything is easier.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Select all programs
    3. Select the HP folder
    4. Select your Camera HP Photosmart
    5. Select Uninstall
    6. Please follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Once the uninstall is complete, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Install the device:

    1. Please click here to download the HP full feature software and driver package
    2. Once the download is complete, follow the prompts on the screen to install the first copy of your printer
    3. Once the installation is complete, click on the Start menu
    4. Select the devices and printers
    5. You should now see 1 copy of your HP Photosmart camera in this folder. Right click on The HP Photosmart camera and left click on printer properties
    6. Under the 'general' tab, you will see the name of your printer in the top. You can change the name to something that "" will tell you where is this specific. For example: HP Photosmart 6510 (office), HP Photosmart 6510 (Home), etc.
    7. Once the name of the printer has changed please click on apply and OK
    8. Close window devices and printers.

Step 3: Add the second copy to printer:

You will need to be on location with the second printer to install it correctly. If you use wired USB with second HP Photosmart please do not connect the USB cable at this time.

    1. on the desktop on your Windows 7 computer, you will see the HP Photosmart Printer Wizard. It should look like this:

    2. click on the HP printer Assistant to open it. When the HP printer Assistant software opens click utilities at the top tab

    3. in respect of public services , click on the option of configuration of the printer and the software . Then, run the option to connect a new printer . Please follow the prompts on the screen to install the second copy of your printer.

    4. Once your second copy of the printer has been installed, click on the Start menu

    5. Select the devices and printers

    6. now, you should see two copies of your HP Photosmart camera. Right-click on the new copy of the printer (which will not be show her updated name that you previously added to the first copy of your printer) and left click on printer properties

    7. on the general tab, change the name of the second copy of your printer

    8. click on apply and OK

    9. closing devices and printers

Now you'll have two HP Photosmart printers installed. Two copies will have full access to your printing software and both copies will also show their names changed, so you can make the difference at the time to choose the right printer to print on.

Please let me know if this procedure works for you. Good luck!

  • Impossible to scan an image larger and small photo on 6510 all-in-one

Cannot parse an image larger and small photo on HP 6510. Product #CQ761A, model # B211a.

  • 6510 leaves suddenly printing black ink - cartridge is new

    Hello

My Photosmart 6510 suddenly left black printing.  I replaced all cartridges, including the black a couple of weeks, and it was working fine until I went to print something from yesterday. Color work, but not black.

I did everything on the link that has been suggested for troubleshooting and the unit is out of warranty of course.

Are the only changes that took place between the time where it worked and did not work: 1) I installed Windows 8 and 2) I tried to make a copy of a label of the bottle, if the lid did not seal.  The first copy was dark, so I tried again and it's while doing the copy that it has just printed a page of black streaks.

Since then, no black although when I made the diagnosis, it prints grey black.

Thanks for your suggestions or help!

I've tried EVERYTHING!  I finally tried printing on a Pope of photography and it worked, I went to 'preferences', then 'quality of paper' and changed other papers photo instead of plain paper.  I have kept the main tray paper source, but replaced by "draft" so that it doesn't take too long to print.  It prints very well now, but you may need to do this each time you print something.  It works at least for the moment.  It's certainly the last HP all I'll never spend money on.  The last HP laptop, I had was a lemon and through too much with it.  Hope this helps you...

  • Printer 6510 problem to put back together again!

Hi all.  I had a printer jam on my photosmart HP 6510. After several attempts, I was able to clear the jammed paper, but in doing so, I had to lift the printer by hand under the printer to clear some paper to the back of the lower part of the tray of the printer.   Some of the components of the printer (which resembles a pair of wheels of runner grey rubber attached to a kind of shock absorber and a spring) are now coming out of the bottom of the printer. I don't see how to adapt these components back where they are part of the suggestions? Thank you, (see attached photo)

    Hi @SamAustralia

It took me a little bit, but I think that I thought about it. At one point, I thought that I had broken the 6510 I used to reproduce the problem

Remove the piece of plastic far enough to push back the roll under it. You will need strength a little, but not enough to break the plastic.

    Then look the other way;

There is a small black piece that sticks up (like a post), he goes to spring (you may need a flashlight to see it better). Now the Board will push all the way back in the printer and Voila! Fixed!

Please let me know if that solves the problem.
