Cannot print from Firefox any version of adobe pdf. Have adobe acrobat plugins 11.0.3.37 and 9.5.5.316

I can't print any page of Firefox to a printer adobe, in other words, to create a pdf file, even if my computer has a 'printer adobe"installed and adobe plugins are updated.
However, there is no problem if I use the "pdf it! Add on.
If Firefox already exposes a pdf page, the "Print" command also blocks the browser.
My Firefox is always up to date, and this problem has existed for mid-2012.

If you have a Windoze system you can do this:
Download the free version of CutePDFWriter of <"rel ="nofollow"> http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp >." You must also download the bundle of Ghostscript which they label "converter".

Install the converter, and then of CutePDF. Watch, the installer wants to install the Ask toolbar and some other junk. Read the screens carefully!

Once you have completed the installation, you now have a printer called "CutePDF Writer". Use this one.

Cannot print from Firefox. 3.6.13. says it's printing, but only a blank page comes out of the printer. Safari works fine, but I like Firefox. With the help of Mac 10.6.5.

Probably caused by a Bug in Firefox, which is supposed to be fixed in versions of Firefox 4.0. Until Firefox 4 is out, my suggestion is to use the preview before printing and if the preview is empty use Safari to print this page. This extension will allow you to click right into Firefox and open the same page in Safari, so you don't have to copy' only paste the URL.

    Hello

Acrobat 7 is not supported and an older version of Acrobat.

Also, it is not compatible with Windows 7.

This could be the reason why you are faced with it.

My second problem is - I can receive faxes and fax to a person with a separate their home phone number.  But I can not fax to someone who has the same number as their telephone and fax.

Any help on these 2 questions so enjoy!

    HI sjane39,

Here is a support page for troubleshooting printing from Firefox. It seems that if you can print from IE that your printer drivers are installed and are working correctly. This looks like a setting in Firefox.

Let us know if that helps.

For your fax number, you can run the Fax diagnostic Test. It will help diagnose and solve common problems of fax.

Also let us know about it.

    Good luck.

  • New computer. Cannot print from Firefox. HP compjuter and printer. Can print from Outlook and explore.

I just got a new HP with Windows 7 computer. I use a HP Officejet 4500 printer. When I try to print from Firefox it brings up a window FAX as I am trying to send a fax. This happens regardless of how I try to print. Go to file then print or the button "impression" on the toolbar navigation or by using the button "print" on the web site. If I try to print from Outlook 2007 or from Explorer 9 everything works fine and the page is printed. I prefer to use Firefox on explore. It's just something that MS put in Windows 7 to force the use of Explorer?

{Ctrl + P} to print at the top, select your printer in the printer - name box. Currently, you have a "virtual" printer selected.

  • cannot print from firefox on windows 7 pro x 64

I can't print using Firefox 3.6.3. I have a canon mx340 printer and am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Can I print files, email (Outlook), IE and everything else. I downloaded the latest print drivers. I have reset the printer using Firefox "subject: config" that suits it temporary, but after some time it stops again to print.

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

I solved this problem. I had to disable the functionality of the browser virtualization in Zone Alarm Extreme Security. It wiped out all the settings of Firefox, but I got bookmarks, etc. saved. (given by the original poster)

When I trytoprint to file, nothing happens. The same applies when I try to print from the "print" key...

You say that nothing is displayed in the printer - name dialog box when you attempt to print something when using Firefox? Click on the arrow down on the right of the "Name" box to see if any printers are displayed in a menu drop-down.

  • Recently I can't print from Firefox after that update - can print from all the rest.

Cannot print from Firefox. Thougth, first of all, it was a printer problem, but could print from other programs. Then tried printing from IE, and there is no problem. I think that this is related to the most recent update/upgrade.

    This has happened

== I think it started after the most recent update/upgrade.

  • Unable to set printing from firefox preferences after installed update

Firefox on my Dell PC under Windows 7 (64-bit), just install the latest update (version 3.6.13). Immediately after that product, I can't set printing preferences when you print from Firefox. It will print, but you can not set preferences like the print quality or gray scale. It worked fine just before the update and I am also able to access and control preferences when printing from other programs such as Word and Windows Explorer.

FYI, my printer is a Canon MX310 with the latest software and drivers installed. As I said, everything worked perfectly prior to update installation. It definitely seems to be associated with this new update. Everyone knows this? Any suggestions? I guess it's a bug in the new update and hoping that Firefox will fix it. I love Firefox and hate having to print through Windows Explorer for this reason.

  • Firefox said that my Adobe Acrobat was out of date, so I have updated to the latest version of the Adobe Web site. Firefox has always said it is obsolete.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I've updated to the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, but Firefox has always said that it is obsolete. I had the Version of Adobe Reader installed 11.0.12.18. The Adobe Acrobat Reader DC uninstalled Adobe Reader software. I read that the DC version is still buggy. I think I'll uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and reinstall Adobe Reader. Furthermore, I haven't opened the DC application and updates, but there is not. When I had Adobe Reader installed I noticed in the Firefox options under applications menu there is an option to use Adobe Reader (by default). I think I'll try this option. Any advice would be appreciated.

Obsolete false warning for Adobe Acrobat Reader is a known problem, but unfortunately there is no way to repair at the moment (we are not the developers on this forum, just guys who want to help users).

Take a look at this previous thread for more information.

  • FireFox knows not that adobe Reader Plugin is a more recent version. Why?

Operating system is Windows Vista with all updates. By using the version of Adobe Reader X 10.1.9. Verification of updates within the Adobe Reader program generates a message from Adobe that the software up to date, no update available. Firefox advises Adobe Plugin version 10.1.9 is vulnerable and update the plugin. Attempt to update from within Firefox connects with Adobe Update site. Attempt to update from the update site brings up a message from Adobe that the latest version of the software is installed. Please notify.

The site checker plugin is not able of * store several versions of the Adobe Acrobat plugin than the current version. So, with apologies to users of Windows Vista, just neglect you plugin check site says this particular plugin and rely on the update of product to Adobe.

    * He pourrait rethinking to do this in the future, but it is currently not able to do this.

  • Cannot print from FSX w/acceleration, no further questions. Running Windows 7 64 bit.

I have FSX w/acceleration installed for a few years now on my HP G71 dual core laptop and it works great, that I had no problem at all. It was my first attempt to print from it however. I wanted to print a flight plan, click on the "print" button and nothing happened. I went to the Panel, open Printers and devices, and my printer was there, online and ready without papers pending. I went to properties and even printed a test page, so I know that the issue is not with the printer. For some reason any FSX does not send the document to the printer. How can I remedy, which should look and where? Thank you in advance for any light that can be shared.
