Cannot read the sd card on media player video file video

When I try to open the video file, the message says photo library cannot open this video. format of file not supported or u have no updates.  recently bought Home notebook toshiba.  not sure what to do. Help, please.

Hello bestparlaywinter,

Thank you for using Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

What is the file format of the video file you are trying to play? You may need to use the default program features to set the program you want Windows to use to open your video file.

To set the default program to use the following steps:

·        Click Start > default program

·        Choose to associate any type of file or Protocol with a program

·        Select the type of file (video format) in the list, and then click Change Program

·        Choose the program you want to use to open this file (for example Windows Media Player), and then click OK

·        Click close to exit from this window

Try to open your video file again

  • Cannot read the DVD with Windows Media Player

Running WIndows Server 2008 R2.  Desktop experience is responsible.  In my view, that it includes Windows Media Player V12.

Try to play the DVD.  The message "setting resolution".  Setting resolution does not help.

Installed K-Lite Codec Pack full.  Get the same message on the resolution setting.  Uninstall K - Lite Codec Pack now I get ' WMP cannot play the DVD because no compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer.

I'm a novice and dangerous, so no "step-by-steps" would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi MarkMann,

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for Windows Server on TechNet. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows Server forum.

  • Cannot read bittorrent movie on windows media player

I downloaded a movie from Bittorrent. Scanned it and his own, how can I get Windows media Player to read?

    RS

There is absolutely no way of knowing what has been added or lack of torrents.  They cannot be infected (or your malware can just missed it), but this does not mean that they have been downloaded correctly or have been completed.

The other aspect is that you may need a codec for this particular file type.  What is the extension for it?

  • Cannot add the titles to Windows Media Player

I was able to repeatedly add titles to my media player library. Construction is 11.0.6002.18311 if that helps. Whenever I record my music into playlists, delete all the files in the appdata/local/microsoft/media reader, re - import playlists and I am able to add music again. However, after about a week or so, adding more tracks along the way, I am unable to add tracks from my library again and the cycle repeats. I can't keep doing this forever, as it is boring and tedious. I could do could prevent this from happening again? I have over 25,000 titles in my library and the file is beyond 1 GB. I suspect that WMP may be unable to manage libraries of this size.

Yes, "the file size maximum (CurrentDatabase_360.wmdb) library for WMP11 is 1 GB," according to http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/WMP/Library.htm.

However, are you sure that he has just 25 000 songs in your library? This means that on average, each song uses about 41 k, which is unusually high. Please check if the library does not contain a lot of other elements, such as photos or videos.

    Hello

The card reader supports 8 MB SD cards 2 GB and SDHC cards from 4 GB to 16 GB.
Therefore, your card should be recognized without big problems.

    You insert it correctly?

Also try to remove the card reader device manager, and then restart the laptop. After the Windows has started again, the card reader must be recognized as a new device. Then try to reinsert the CDHC CARE card
