Cannot remove two sent items

I use outlook express with XP pro & I was able to remove all my items with the exception of two messages. We have a file size of 1283KB & other 8 KB. What can I do?

Best regards, Mick.

Close OE and delete the file sent items.dbx (hidden).  OE will create a new when it opens.

  • Copying messages in sent items

I found this post in the forums over a year. I was wondering if something changed regarding seen messages go in items when leave us messages to other users, as well as when a message is sent through the interface of the phone. Any response in this regard is appreciated.

It's supposed to keep the size of the Inbox (which includes elements removed, and sent items folders) to a minimum. You do not have access to the sent items folder by phone (that is, you do now with the deleted items folder) and if we kept attachments on messages sent/the size of the Inbox would get quite large.

Currently there is no option to force the unit to include attachments in the file in the sent items folder.

It's always a real statement today - this isn't a frequently requested item, at least compared to the rather large list of associated conversation currently have queries on the plate.

  • removing bulk mail items sent

is there a quick way to remove 'sent' items in e-mail from outlook express... IE in bulk rather than individually?

See Ben Schorr answer and let me add the following.

You can choose who you want to select by clicking on one, then
Hold down the CTRL key when you click on others. Or if you want a range
selections, click on the first one, then hold down the SHIFT key and click
    the last.

And another point: these are not features of Outlook Express, they are
Windows and standards work in many places in all versions of
Windows. For example, you can select multiple files in Windows
Explore this way, if you want to delete, copy or
    something else with them.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

  • BlackBerry Q10 from sent items e-mail settings

I know that the option "delete only on handheld" does not yet exist on BB10, which is a major pain.  I learned to live with this until today.  I have two email accounts; @shaw.ca and @live.ca.  When I send an email from my PC it also appears on my phone as a sent item.  In the interest of the housekeeping I delete sent items off my phone thinking that they will always be in my items on my PC.  I consider that to my account @live.ca only, not Shaw for a reason, my folder on my PC has no items since I got my Q10, they've all gone which is a huge problem for me.  Here's my question.  Is there any kind of implement changes that can make my items on my PC are not displayed on my phone?  I never used to see them on my torch, only the Envoy that I sent from my phone.

Any really smart people out there who know a way to recover deleted items sent in Windows Live mail?  I poured on everything him net and can not find anything but it can't hurt to ask.

    Thank you all!

    Hey ddmdevin,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

Thanks for the question. In the new operating system BlackBerry 10, email will now via synchronization. Previous BlackBerry devices carried out a reconciliation. This means that, with synchronization, the Inbox on your BlackBerry Q10 will reflect your Inbox on your webmail.

The ability to hide items sent in the Q10 of BlackBerry is available, however it allows to hide all items sent to all accounts in the hub.

To hide items sent so they are not displayed in the Inbox of the Q10 (to avoid to remove permanently):

The Hub-> menu-> settings (3 vertical points)-> display and Actions-> see the elements (toggle OFF) sent.

Let us know how make you out!

    See you soon,.

  • I'm getting copies of all sent items

I've got Microsoft and google accounts more I also checked my ISP account and all do. Once I sent an item if I check sent items there are always two identical messages there. I am running Linux Mint, but I had the same problem under OpenSuse as well.

For Gmail and Hotmail / accountsoutlook.com , uncheck "place a copy in" under the tools/account settings /AccountName/Copies & files, since these two services automatically copy sent to the folder messages 'sent'.

  • Envoy in contact form does not end in sent items

First of all, a nice feature is what preceded this form (trying to answer my question and undo/resolve the workload of duplicate messages), where I'm typing now.

I see two to be descriptive. Good point... but fortunately, I can be concise, and I'll get right to the point.

My dad said that a form of contact presented in the browser does not (not) found in the sent items of the email client. Which is probably a good thing.

It would be a good deal to represent? It is useless, but for a system administrator to do it manually. So he would probably need a script...

    )

PS: search powerhungry Google for 'thunderbird sent form elements' (should have that in the representation of Thunderbird...); It might be good to separate the content from that of other pieces on the Web page... perhaps that Google reads. A good deal for the hubs! Or webrings as we were doing it at the time to call them. All voluntarily.

You are trying to read through all the unwanted extra in your post, I think your question is why items sent with the web mail interface do not appear in the folder sent to Thunderbird or any other e-mail client.
Best estimate is that you use POP email and that's how it works. POP email only interfaces with the Inbox.
If you want all folders to synchronize you should use IMAP E-mail.
    Google that.

  • error "cannot remove the message.

When I right click the icon of the Recycle Bin to open it, I get the following: the file could not be opened. Possible causes: insufficient disk or available memory space.

    Can you help me?

You can move messages you want to save out of the box of reception and sent items? If you can, move them to the user created folders, and then follow these steps. If you can't, you need to create a new identity and import your message to it first.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the files Inbox.dbx, Sent Items.dbx, and Deleted Items.dbx and remove them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

Compact all folders as described below.

To avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
