Cannot remove windows xp

I just bought new pc, I installed xp in it.de error I installed it twice today in my pc I have 2 os (windows xp 2)... now I want to reset my pc as new pc so that I can install again new windows xp.please tell me how to remove the two old windows xp there is no data in the pc?

Reformatting a disk deletes all the data on the disk.

To reformat the hard drive of your computer and reinstall Windows, restart your computer using the Windows installation disc (this is commonly known as booting from the installation disc). During the installation process, you can repartition and reformat your hard disk and then reinstall Windows. The process will erase your files and programs, so remember to make backups of your data files and the program before you start. For more information, search Windows Help and Support "installation and reinstalling Windows."

  • Cannot remove Windows Media Player 12 library

I want to remove the entire library in Windows Media Player 12 (running Windows 7) so I can start over with a new database. With previous versions of WMP, it was simple - I get the Media Player folder in the Local environment and remove all files (leaving the files). Now when I try to do it I get the message "cannot complete this action because the file is open in Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. Close the file and try again. "How can I do this?

    Hi red high Mahoney,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers forums.

Make sure that the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service network service or Windows Media Connect does not work as follows:

    1. click on start and then click on run
    2. in the run box, type services.msc
    3. in Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service or Windows Media Connect (WMC) and then verify that the status column is started
    4. double-click on the service and click on the Stop button, change the type to disabled startup
    5 restart the computer.

To reactivate the function repeat the above process, by clicking on the Start button instead of the stop and change the type of startup to automatic.

    Now try to delete libraries.

You cannot remove Windows 7 paint (except maybe to delete the file, but I don't recommend that).  However, you can copy the mspaint.exe in Windows XP on your Windows 7 computer and run it from there.  I copied just mspaint.exe on my Windows 7 Desktop and he ran, and of course it worked very well.

Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

Someone has put a policy on your machine to enforce some rules for passwords. Best is to ask that person to change these rules for you. Note also that:
-You cannot delete the built-in Administrator account.
-Administrator with a blank password accounts is a big security risk.

  • Windows 7, cannot remove the burn files after back to the top

I have a 64 bit Windows 7 laptop. A year ago I started a return upwards to put on a disc. The backup failed at the time because I ran out of records to put on (had no idea that it would take as much!).

Since then I tried to delete these temporary burn files from the F drive, but every time I click on the option, it breaks down and wrote files are used by another program. I went through and individually deleted most of them, but I still have a few huge to get the judgment and cannot remove the program (86), or on the desktop to the top, mean that they are used by another program.

I burned a CD of all these left during the backup of files and that worked, but the files are still sitting in my drive F, I still can't delete the temporary versions... its taking a lot of space and I got the bsod a couple of times.

I also tried folder in the start menu and delete the temporary files in this way, but it did not result in the F drive.

I tried to rename the temporary files so that I could remove them too, but not to chance it.

I have disc clean up all the time, this doesn't always help with the F drive.

    Your opinion would be appreciated!
