    Note that this is a Dev server.  Not vital, but super boring.  I found that my machine has been restarted due to Lumension.  It's normal.  However, given that I imported a file .because the old CF8 server directly to this Dev CF9 Server I had not restarted or restared the CF9 service.

    I found these error messages in the event viewer:

    The ColdFusion 9 application server service could not be started.  Check the log files from the server 'coldfusion' for more information.

    The ColdFusion 9 application server service stopped with the error special service that the system cannot find the specified file...

    I checked the JRUN logs and can not find all the papers relating to correspondence timestamp of today or anything out of place, which seems to be the cause.  Nothing in the CF be newspapers, mainly because CF never rose from the status running if no newspaper could be generated.

    I thought I found the culprit in this post http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/ThreadId:61223 ... but the fix is without effect.  I can't find anything in my search using grep outside the JRUN temp folder a single .xml file with a path of Coldfusion8 not valid.  The path of attachment or remove the offending temporary files does not solve the problem.

    I also tried to move all files from the root that was moved in the directory / / ColdFusion9/wwwwroot/out and you try to start the service, but the same error and failure occurs.

    I have not tried to reinstall.  I installed the CF9.0.1 update and it work just dandy wait this restart.  There are no other experienced computer problems that I can tell, and no other errors were found in the event viewer.

    Found the problem because I suspected an incorrect path.  It's the java.home variable that was incorrect.  Java.Home =: / ColdFusion9/execution/jre, I changed to java.home=C:/ColdFusion9/runtime/jre and he has pulled up very well.  Solved!

    Method 1: Manually start the Bluetooth service.

    a. Click Start, type services.msc and press to enter.
    b. in the list of components, double-click Bluetooth support Service.
    c. change the startup type to automatic and click on the Start button to start the service.
    d. click on apply and then click ok.
    e. check if the problem persists.

    Method 2: Put the computer to boot and see if that helps:

    A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

I solved my problem with a little help from Microsoft.  The solution is simple for those of you with the same problem.  Rather than search the web and the Microsoft Web site, I simply clicked on my "Help and Support" icon on my desktop and entered in the same query.  This time, I got a response that actually question my problem even though she warned that she could apply to XP.  It was for Windows 2000, but I tried anyway and it worked.  The cause of the problem is a DLL missing from the Windows\system32 directory, a file named "eventlog.dll.  It is still on your computer in a different directory, so all you have to do is a search under the road you have installed Windows on this file and copy it to the Windows\system32 directory and everything should be fine.  It's as simple as that.

    I hope this helps all who can be soon _ trying to correct what I tried to correct for the past three days.  Good luck and may the force be with you.

    Try to replace spoolsv.exe is located in C:\windows\system32 in C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386.

    Starting from printer spooler services (start-> Run-> services.msc-> printer spooler).

    Please, once you connect to the application server Peoplesoft VM with psadm2, run the following:

    env|grep LANG
    

    And post the result.

    LANG should be C, if this isn't your side follow these steps:

    export LANG=C
    

    And re-start the Appserver field.
    To keep consistency during the startup of the server, add the line in the psadm2 user .bash_profile.

    Changed the .bash_profile or any other initialization file? Because everything should be fine by default.

  • URGENT: Cannot start service Essbase

    Essabase Services is not start-up. If I try to start it manually in services.msc, it start but as soon as I update it it stops. I replaced Essbase.bak by essbase.sec file and run essbase.exe from the command prompt. following error message is displayed "fatal error: index of the invalid element in the security file."

    I also copied the file of essbase.sec of my backup taken yesterday & essbase.exe leaders represented at the prompt but still getting the same error.

    I am able to connect to Shared Services & services OpenLDAP is also up & running. Please advice how to start services. It is urgent because it is in the production server.

    Go to ground zero on this one - if (after performing a backup of each copy of Essbase.sec, Essbase.bak, Essbase.whateveritscalled) remove the Essbase security file (it is of course after stopping Esbsase), can it start up?

    I wonder if Essbase is dying because he can't somehow see Shared Services.

    Also, for laughs, started Essbase.exe in a window, not as a service. This will let you see what happens when it occurs. Yes, you can view the Essbase.log but it is more immediate.

    I want to start Essbase service in order to use MAXL / Essmsh, but the Essbase service cannot start. The service starts manually as usual and path to the executable file on C:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer\bin\ESSBASE.exe

    When I tried to find the folder and run essbase.exe the error indicates that the name of the service is bad (Hypservice_1) and not found.
    In fact the Windows service, the full name is ' Hyperion Essbase Services 11.1.1 - hypservice_1.

    This problem may occur if the service is disabled or if the service is disabled for the hardware profile you are currently using.
    To activate the service follow these steps:
