Cannot start to any Windows media - BIOS, Linux okay.

Yesterday, on my Windows 7 Pro computer, I tried to access management of the computer via r - clicking on "Computer" and select "Manage", but apparently the link ceased to exist;  However, I could access it via "Administrative tools.". Curious to know how long it lasts, I tried a system restore, that actually do anything, so I tried to restore to the rear.  Is where the real fun begins...

The bluescreened to computer with the message "PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED," SEO Stop: 0x0000006B (0xFFFFFFFFC000007A, 0 x 0000000000000006, 0 x 0000000000000000, 0 x 0000000000000000).
Now when I try to boot into Windows, I have to make a choice between "Start Windows normally" and "Repair", nor what kind of work.  'Normally' give me the blue screen and "Repair" will not work because my keyboard or mouse will work in a Windows environment.
I tried different mice, keyboards and plug it into different ports, but absolutely nothing, not even a cursor frozen on the screen.  I also tried a hot spare Win PE with the same result, as well as the Windows installation disc, and various Windows-based bootable USB flash drives - once again, several USB ports.  And Safe Mode is a 'no-go '.
HOWEVER, everything works perfectly in the UEFI BIOS and all the other screens prior to Windows.  AND I can boot into various Linux distributions installed on an SDHC card that is placed in a USB adapter.
You are using Linux, I was able to follow the instructions I found on the Microsoft Support, delete the Bootcat.cache file, located in C:\Windows\system32\codeintegrity.  That no longer works.
Any suggestions before I have turn this into a Linux computer?

What worked:  I was able to start Linux (Mint distribution has functioned well), and from there I used the Terminal to reformat the drive for ext2, a Linux file system.  I thought that it doesn't really matter what I used, because Windows don't want to reformat anyway; I want to just get rid of all that was to keep the HIDs work.

Then I started on the installation of W7 disc - believe me, I have never been happy to see a slider! -After all the wanton 'you can do that' messages I finally got things the way Windows he wanted and now W7 is installed, complete with mouse, keyboard and the 'computer' right click 'Manage' option intact.
I did all the instructions I used to reformat the drive using Linux;  If someone wants to, reply to this message and I'll paste them here.

  • Cannot delete files from Windows Media Player library.

    Original title: deleting files problem

I deleted a large number of music of my WMP library & computer files, but they are still listed in WMP. I can't play any of them as they were deleted, and I get a message telling me so when I try! Why are they still displayed in the list and how do I get rid of them? I tried to restart, changing the target folder, etc., without change. I even tried to remove all of the library (but not the computer this time) and they do not always go!

    Hi Jamie,

Welcome to Microsoft Community where you can find all the answers related to Windows.

According to the description provided, looks like you are not able to completely remove the files in Windows Media Player.

I have a couple of steps that should help you to solve this problem.

You can try to clear the database of Windows Media Player and check if it clears the titles and generic icons.

To do this, follow these steps:

    Method 1:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player in the start search box and enter.

    3. Select all the files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    Method 2:

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the start search box and enter.

3 select the folder Media Player, and then click delete on the file menu.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  • Windows cannot start the service windows firewall

My windows Security Center indicates that "the windows firewall is disabled.  When I try to turn it on I get the message "windows is unable to start the service windows firewall."  Any suggestions?

    Hello

The answer depends on what you have anti-virus security.

If you have, for example, Norton Internet Security protects your computer, it is using Firewall from Norton.

If you have 2 firewall of exploitation, which can cause system hangs, slow, etc.

What Antivirus do you use for computer security?

If you don't have a Suite of Internet security, protect your computer, scan for Malware:

Download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware, if necessary in Mode safe mode with networking:

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

And here's how to go in Safe Mode options; Select safe mode with networking from the list of options:

  • Cannot delete file in windows Media Player

I can delete video files from Windows Media Player. I think that I deleted them before somehow but standard photos (balloon, balloons) always appear in video library for all deleted files and try right-click and delete is not remove them from the library. There is no error message when you try to remove them and when you try to play them you get Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. I don't want to play the file I want to just delete it.

You probably need to reset the library to get rid of the files in the library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

    -Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt.
