Cannot successfully install the HP printer...

Hello, this is my first post here, probably because I never really need help before.

I have an old Deskjet F2280 all-in-one printer, who had given me no problems until the other night when I plugged into my laptop to print something. For some strange reason, I got messages saying that I had to reinstall the software.

Think the best thing to do would be to uninstall all HP applications and reinstall everything, that's exactly what I was doing. But almost immediately I started having problems with missing TrayApp messages, etc. So when I inserted the original CD to reinstall, I found that it was more accepted (out of date drivers?).

After you download all the latest drivers etc on the HP site, I thought I would be OK. But the current situation is that I can not properly install the software; everything seems to work fine until the end of the installation when I get a fatal error message. I followed all of the suggestions I've seen on the internet, including the removal of all temporary files, but nothing seems to work. At the moment I have no printer; When I install the necessary drivers, TrayApp messages return and the printer does not work.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I see that you said that you have been on the HP website and downloaded the driver software and updated and you still have questions.

I suggest uninstall us the drivers and the HP software and once it is removed, please click on the following link for the printer HP install wizard for Windows.

Before running the wizard, make sure you have any firewall or antivirus McAfee or Norton 360) off protection.

    I found the option. I had to type on my WiFi network named to access this option (which is not an obvious thing to be able to do the layout and I did in fact by chance). I hope that this will be the sort!
