Cannot synchronize 'Documents' to my Palm desktop

I can create a document on my Centro (Verizon), but have been unable to find "Documents" or sync to my desktop XP Palm computer.

Hello and welcome to the Palm support community.

In order to synchronize the documents on your desktop, you must have installed Office of Documents To Go component.  The desktop version is on the installation disc, or there is a link to download the disk.

You should also be able to download the desktop version of www.dataviz.com , but you'll probably first save the copy on your Centro with Dataviz. To find your registration number:

  1. Open the application of Documents on your Centro.
  2. In the Options menu, select "registration information."
  3. Your registration number is displayed.

The DTG version that comes with the Centro is 10.x, so you must be sure you download the same version of the desktop application.

  • After synchronization, nothing appears on Palm Desktop

My Verizon Treo 650 works perfectly. It syncs also perfectly to my computer, install new programs that I had to and did not have any kind of evil.

Palm Desktop 6.2.2 is my default program for managing any kind of files for palm, but when it is opened there is absolutely NOTHING that my Palm sync showing up for her. No telephone contacts, dates, whatever it is.

I don't have a data plan, so I do not use Outlook or have contacts or addresses in there, but shouldn't my phone contacts and dates be saved and showing on Palm Desktop?

Thanks in advance for any help to solve this.

All right. Palm desktop is currently set to synchronize with Outlook. But you want to sync with Palm desktop. On the PC goto START, all programs, then to Palm. You should see the led sync PIM. Select sync with Palm Desktop.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Software and Palm Desktop v6.2

I am a happy new Blackberry so far, but have grave on something which is very annoying.  I'm trying to move the data from my Palm TX, but Blackberry Desktop does not recognize the version of the Palm Desktop software that I use.

    What makes difficult:

    • It seems that I have a not supported version of Palm Desktop (at least from the point of view of Blackberry).
    • I don't have the option to go to a previous version of Palm Desktop.  Older versions do not run on Vista.
    • I don't have Outlook.

    Any thoughts?

Well, I finally got my Palm data transferred.  First of all, I was pleasantly surprised that Yahoo was in favour of the list of tasks, which was the only thing that I thought was missing.  I did a sync of my BB with Yahoo and saw that an entry of each type of test was transferred to Yahoo and vice versa.  So my problem is then a matter of getting the data from Palm to Yahoo.

Approach 1: Use the Yahoo with Palm Desktop synchronization tool.

Result: Did not work.  Synchronization of Yahoo support Palm Desktop 6.2.

Method 2: Save the Palm data in a file to archive and use the Yahoo import tool.

Result: Did not work.  The file format for Palm Desktop 6.2 was not supported by Yahoo.

Method 3: Dig a notebook laminated out of my Studio and install an older version of Palm Desktop.

Result: I got the Palm Desktop installed, then noticed that this laptop has Outlook on this.   I sync my Palm with Outlook, then installed the Yahoo Sync tool.  Synchronize and all my Palm data were sucked in Yahoo.  Returned to my Vista machine and ran the sync of BB and all the data from Yahoo are down.

    Finally!

    Thanks for your help.

  • USNG a Treo 650 can I switch bewteen outlook and Palm desktop and other issues

I can't switch between Palm desktop version 6.2.2 and prospects to see what I like without losing any data?  If I can't spend using the Outlook on Ver 6.2.2 duct synchronize my Treo 650 in Outlook 2002. I may eventually go to a Blackberry tour and I would need to have the info in outlook to convert to worm Blackbery Desktop 4.7 (I think) the following problem is I have Palm Ver 4.1 on my Win XP Pro laptop in another country

The treo with Outlook synchronization causes any changes to your handheld? I wonder if I'm having problems when I have to convert the Office Palm worm 4.x.x info on Xp desktop Blackberry 4.7 on my other computer?  I don't know if Palm ver 4.1.1 must be a conduit of outlook. I may have to upgrade to version 4.1.1E to accomplish this and I don't know if this version works on XP?

The key is that I have to convert Palm desktop (2 different versions in outlook 2002 and synchronize properly)

and hopefully maitain this info until I return to Europe and load it into my XP computer

    Thank you

    Bravo! Thank you!

Palm Desktop 6.2 is compatible with XP... And you can synchronize the two programs at the same time without any problems. What you need to do is simply click on the sync led PIM to synchronize with outlook or Palm desktop.  Start > programs > Palm > sync led PIM >

  • Cannot synchronize with Palm Desktop

    Hello

I had a Palm T5 for 3 years now, I've had recently updated computer and since then I can not synchronize palm desktop use. The entire synchronization process starts, but then it does not appear on my palm handheld. Also, I've never used outlook to sync, but for some reason, as my Palm Desktop info is recently visible in my outlook as well. I prefer palm desktop as I have color coded my info into categories. All the news that has recently been also transferred to outlook is not categorised.

How to stop synchronizing with outlook and only sync with palm desktop?

How can I solve this problem, I have to upgrade to another palm?

    Thanks for your help!

First try to switch the pipes to Palm Desktop. (Start/programs or all programs/Palm/conduit PIM Sync / Sync with Palm Desktop) or insert the CD and select the change synchronization method.

What happens when you synchronize? You say that nothing shows up on the device, do you mean that it shows no progress? The hotsync application open?

  • Palm Desktop 6.2.2 on Win8.1 synchronization but only showing no data

I'm so happy to have found this forum.  I didn't know there was so much love for the old Palm devices.  I started with a Palm V and worked my way up to a Tungsten T & palm Desktop 4.1.4 on WInXP and everything was so good that I resisted to move away from Palm Desktop, as it is just what I need.  But I just bought a new Win8.1 PC and am having a few problems that I hope someone here can help with.

I have been through help here on the installation of Palm Desktop 6.2.2 and win8 driver and installation has been very good and I couldn't hotsync via USB without apparent problems, except that Palm Desktop does not display any of my palm data!

When I ran hotsync (from cradle palm button) it asks a user name.  My Tungsten T was already used on my XP PC and was full of data.  If I entered the username of tungsten and hotsync continued.  It took a few minutes or so (as would be expected) and once finished he said that everything was ok.  I checked the logand Hotsync, it was confirmed that everything was synced properly - but when I open Palm Desktop there is no displayed data.

I then checked the data files in ...documents\Palm OS Desktop\... and addresses and calendar files are present and full of my data.  I've even opened in Notepad and could easily see loads of text ascii among all of the "junk" characters, so it seems that the synchronization process has worked correctly, but none of my Tungsten is displayed in Palm Desktop.

I then added an event on the agenda in Palm Desktop and another event the same day in tungsten.  I then did an another hotsync.  It was reported as a success, but the event of tungsten is not in the office, although the same office appeared on the tungsten.  If the synchronization process seems to work only one way!

I have had it before and would appreciate any help.

OK, try to use the "Palm Hotsync Setup" program found on this page.

    Since you're using an old T | T, maybe that's the answer.

There is a guide available on this site for the migration of data from Palm OS Android, if you are interested.  I made this jump years ago when webOS was finished.  You can find it on their homepage.

  • Switching to outlook for syncying Palm Desktop synchronization

When I first set up the Palm Desktop for my Palm TX, I chose to synchronize my calendars and tasks, etc. from my outlook account. How can I change to make it synchronize calendars, tasks, etc. from my Palm Desktop program now in place?

    Thank you

    On your computer, go here:

Start button / all programs/Palm/PIM led Sync / Sync with Palm Desktop.

It must "raise the switch" to sync with the Palm Desktop rather than with Outlook.

  • Old Palm Vx, synchronization with Palm Desktop

    Hello everyone.

I try an old Palm Vx synchronization with Palm Desktop. But the Hotsync does not work as expected. After press the SYNCHRONIZATION button in the cradle the process starts with databases "Restore", then with the synchronization.

When the process is finished the Palm VX. displays a RESTART Message. After that I do this restart I can not use my Palm more. The Palm is displaying the 'settings', but I don't know why. I can not type of the any of buttons, for example the Home button and looks like the Graffiti-Pad is unresolved. I only can do, it's only a hard reset with lost all data. After that, I do a hotsync and the game begins with RESTART and displaying the "settings."

Can someone help me with this problem? What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you very much. Jens.

The problem is solved. I installed ReDigi. This little program displays the calibration screen after each reboot hot so I could re - calibrate the digitizer and the Palm works for me once again.

    Thank you very much. Jens.

  • I need Palm Desktop to synchronize to Outlook?

I'm fed up with various problems with Vista and Palm Desktop and decided to move my Outlook data. I had to do a clean uninstall of Palm Desktop, this last time. I plugged my T | X and Outlook 2003 to see if it would synch, but no go. I have looked everywhere to see if there is a way to implement without redownloading Palm Desktop and so far have not found a. Ideas?

    Thank you

Yes, you need Palm Desktop to synchronize with Outlook.

Once installed, launch the 'soft' switch - Button/All start Palm/programs/PIM Sync Conduit/synchronize with Outlook.

  • Is it possible to synchronize BOTH in OUtlook AND Palm Desktop? If so, how? Thanks in advance.

    null

Hello.. Welcome to the forums of Palm.  In response to your question No. HotSync will define lines either outlook or Palm desktop.  Technically you could synce to one, go in the lines and change them to another and synchronize, i.e. whenever you want to synchronize you would have to modify the ducts and it would add very likely data corruption.

  • Back to Palm Desktop synchronization, rather than with Outlook

I recently installed Outlook on my PC and was then given the option to sync my Treo to Outlook. I didn't think it would mean that it would be no longer synchronized to my Palm Desktop. I don't find a way to return to Palm Desktop synchronization, I prefer, without uninstalling Outlook. Can anyone offer advice. I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for using the Palm Help Forums!

If you use a newer version of Palm Desktop, you can change the way that you want to synchronize easily. On your PC, go to start > programs > Palm > PIM led Sync > sync with Palm Desktop.

All your data will not be synchronized for Palm Desktop. If you do not have this feature, you can download and install a new version of Palm Desktop by going to www.palm.com and click support.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Cannot display log with Palm E2 and Palm Desktop 4.1.4.

I finally got the Palm Desktop 4.1.4, which works fine with Vista. I have a Palm Tungsten E2. When I sync, when he says that there were duplications, etc. and that I want to display the log HTM file, I click on view log and it appears impossible to view/find the page! Anyone know what is happening?

After sync-ing, I get a prompt indicating that a log file has been generated. When I click it, it opens a page in Firefox by saying, "Firefox cannot find the file to C:/Program Files/palmOne/Stephe/HotSyncLog.htm".

I posted this question before, and mysteriously, I started to get the log to open. (Palm_Lover was kind enough to offer to help me, but the newspapers started appearing, so I marked the thread as resolved. Yet once it happens, however, and I can't access the journal.

You are exactly right, hepoeta15, I opened the first folder that you suggested and there were the HotSyncLog and the info I needed!

Thank you very much. I mark this thread resolved.

I am very grateful for this driver!

  • Centro desktop doesn't install it to the previous thread palm desktop and cannot uninstall old version

The Centro CD installs access desktop Palm Centro
desktop computer - it stops and says that I have to uninstall existing Palm desktop as it will not be to level the previous version.

Problem is, I can't install off Sony palm desktop. It's in c:\program
files, but not displayed in Control Panel / Add Remove prgrams. has no
    allow revo uninstall it.

I tried to plug just in the Centro but windows might find usb drivers
    (no doubt)

So I'm a little stuck. Help!

    It was the next step.

I just needed to know what was the operating system of the PC and the version of Palm desktop so I could tell you where to get the correct files.

Here is some info. For you.

Click on the following link to the support page for your device on the kb.palm.com Web page.
    http://www.Palm.com/us/support/Centro/centro_gsm/

There are links on the page the user Troubleshooting Guide, how to, downloads, etc.

The best way to protect your data is to export the data in each category of Palm Desktop in a separate folder on your PC.

Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that suits. Name it something like Palm Desktop data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on this page for the export procedure.

    http://www.Palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?id=28734

Make sure you only select everything for the beach in the export window.

With the data stored in the created folder, make a copy of this file and save it on a USB key, cd - rw or external hard drive.

Whenever you change in Palm Desktop, export the data that has been changed in this file and save again to external media.

With this process you can always import the data in Palm Desktop, whenever you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop, or if your computer/hard drive/device crash.

  • Cannot print June 2010 calendar of Palm Desktop

When I try to print the month of June 2010 the page numbering starts turning quickly as it rolls up to the printer.  I press cancel, as the page number seems never to end.  I also noticed the the print spooler, Windows displays the updated file pending is enormous.  Usually, my calendar file will be rolled up to less then 200K.  Whereas this file is greater than 34 MB.  The list option will print very well.  Also, I rebooted without success.  Is there a solution for this? I'm in Palm Desktop 6.2.2. Using a Palm Centro.

After resynchronization with Centro's all right now.
