Cannot update the RAM on M90p?

Hello

I have two modules of Mhz 4 GB PC3 - 10600 1333. When I put in my motherboard, one of two things happen. Windows 10 logo lights up for about 5 seconds, then it stops, or two points of the circle of time loading and then the half top of the screen is blue. I tried with rank modules double rank and unique and have updated to what I believe, it's the current BIOS. The page for this PC on the Lenovo site says that it is capable, then why is it not working?

It's on a Lenovo M90p 5536CTO.

  • Re: Satellite M70-142 - cannot move the RAM to 4 GB of RAM

    Hallo,

I have a toshiba m70-142, I want to use 4 GB of ram, but I can't go up to 2 GB.

If I put 4 giga pc won't start, screen black on startup and I cannont go into bios settings - it's a truble bios I think.

I update the bios phoenix 1.70.

I use Windows xp and linux, but this is not a SO truble.

    Hello

First of all are you sure laptop chipset can handle 4 GB of RAM?
As far as I know two DDRII SO-DIMM up to 2 GB can be improved through expansion memory slot.

Memory max possible usually depends on the chipset. In order to check the chipset of the motherboard. Then you could check the properties of the chipset and can know if 4 GB of RAM are supported by the chipset.

PS; 32 bit OS can manage 3.2 GB RAM max

  • cannot update the system... error code 80070005 appears?

have tried several times to automatic update window system, but windows cannot verify the updates and the aboe error code appears... also tried the fix online tool without success... of advice would be appreciated... thanx

One of the most common causes of this error code is the Anti Virus and Anti Spyware software running on the computer.

You can try to disable them, and then try the updates again. Keep the firewall however.

  • Portege R700 - cannot update the BIOS

    Hello
I recently bought a Portege R700 19 M and I downloaded the latest BIOS version available in the Toshiba support page and when I run the .exe file, it does not work with this message: "the computer is not supported.
And when I look in the HWSetup Toshiba tool, it does not display the BIOS version but some weird characters (letters not usual) so I can't find out which version is installed.
    Thank you for your help

    Hey Buddy,

You update the BIOS to the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba?
Are you logged on as administrator when you try the update?

To be honest I doubt a problem to update the BIOS because I found other threads where users report that BIOS update was successful.

  • Tecra M3 PTM30E - cannot update the BIOS

    Hello

I can't install my new Bios on the Tecra M3 PTM30E-09X01LEN system.
    The message says: not supported.

    Why?

    I put t he understand.

    Hello

First of all, I want to ask you why you want to update the BIOS?
You have some problems with the laptop that could be solved by the BIOS updated?

Also what BIOS you use and where did you find and download?

The Tecra M3 PTM30E seems to be a European model and the BIOS must be placed on the European driver Toshiba page.

    I checked the page and there are two versions of the BIOS;
BIOS 1.20 - WIN-FBCF is only for the models with filter virtual control of Angle (FBCF)
The BIOS 1.50 - WIN is for models WITHOUT filter the virtual control of Angle (FBCF)

Seems that you used the wrong BIOS!

  • Qosmio G30 PQG31E - no driver XP 32? Cannot update the BIOS?

As usual, obtained a computer laptop, but no recovery CD :(

Got 32 installed XP (my Microsoft contract does not MCE) but a lot of missing drivers. Driver Toshiba page has all the drivers for XP MCE, XP 32 has only BIOS update, Bluetooth, HD - DVD firmwares, the virtual sound and drivers WI - FI!

So I tought "Vista on this issue", but I checked the compatibility XP with Vista DVD I got a 'need to update the BIOS' (always a 1.40-2006/03/10)!
My problem is that BIOS update always returns "this computer is not supported! Laptop has only one account, this isn't permissions problem, perhaps because many drivers are not present? Can I update the BIOS in safe mode?

What now? Am stuck with a brick of Qosmio? Without controllers LAN to say the least, I can't not fact! Drivers XP MCE does work on XP 32?

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

I found all the Win XP drivers for Qosmio G30 PQG31E!
On the European driver Toshiba page, you can find the Win XP MCE drivers
XP MCE drivers are the same drivers for Win XP Home or Pro.

There are also some BIOS 3, 90-WIN and this BIOS is operating system independent. In other words, it works with Win XP and Vista...

To update the BIOS the common Module must be installed
You can find also on the European driver Toshiba page!

    Hi rafilm,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple! I'm sorry to hear you're having this problem with Mail on your Mac and your Gmail account. Based on the error/alert message you get on "modern security standards", it seems that the issue may have to do with 2-step audit, and/or a specific app password. • Cannot increase the RAM in end-15 27 "iMac, retina

    This question drove me crazy.

End of last year, I bought an iMac 27 "new retina (17.1 model) with 16 GB of RAM of factory. I have since decided to upgrade to 32 GB myself - but apparently not.

I tried both levels of separate module of Crucial (both sticks 2x8GB, configured by using memory widget Crucial own the latter, so I think it was the 'right' RAM). Both times, after the installation, my iMac would not start. I get the kernel panic, then reboot after reboot goes no further than the Apple logo.

Conjecturing that it must be a problem with Crucial RAM, I ordered two modules from OWC. This time, I realized an online chat with a Counsellor OWC just to make sure that the triple, I was getting the right modules.

Result: same kernel panics, same inability to start. After you have uninstalled the aftermarket RAM my iMac works fine.

And, Yes, I want to install RAM correctly (I did several times with previous computers that are much more difficult to upgrade). I also tried the papillotes in different slots (lots of combinations), switch reset PRAM, etc. etc. Nothing works.

I wonder... all the stories of 'success' on Amazon and Crucial and OWC come people who completely REPLACE their factory in RAM with spare sticks? Seriously, I think that the issue is an incompatibility with the aftermarket RAM and the factory stuff. On the other hand, I am reluctant to throw 16 GB of perfectly good 'Apple' RAM just to open the four slots for 32 GB OWC.

I know that Crucial has been (or is still) a provider of RAM to Apple, so this is really surprising.

It is interesting to try to pick up sticks 'factory' (which will be costly, of course)? I believe that my 'Apple' RAM made by Samsung. Is there a reliable source for this?

Or I'm doing something completely wrong? (Can't imagine what it would be. I've even been through a chat tech with OWC has nothing to help).

In fact, I wonder if I now won't be able to max out my RAM (assuming I decide to eBay my Apple sticks and just go all new).

Difficult for me to believe that the iMac is that picky about RAM...

    Thanks for the ideas.

I do not have a 2015 end iMac, so I don't know if the problem which arose with iMac 2010 might be similar; before connecting a couple of these very long old threads, most of the problems was: the iMac 27 "would go happily with factory all the RAM, or with less of a mix of OEM and third party RAM (12 GB) max, but would have problems with 16 GB of third party RAM maxed out. I used to have a such 2010 and stayed with a total of 12 GB of RAM (OEM 4 GB and 8 GB of RAM from OWC) worked well.

    Problem with 16 GB on 2010 iMac 27 "i5 & i7.

    I7 memory issues new iMac 27 "2010

Other than the usual suspects such as faulty RAM, RAM slot, or not seated correctly, if you have time, you might want to try to install unless the maximum - it is a shot in the dark, but...
