I installed Windows 7 on my laptop and downloaded the new driver for my Canon BJC 80 printer.  The computer seems to recognize the printer, but it does not print.  I do not understand why my printer is listed as the default printer and appear to be installed correctly, but does not print.  My printer works already without problem with XP and Vista.  Is there anything I can do to get the printer to work?  Or my printer won't work with Windows 7?  Thank you.

I have Canon BJC-80, working on Windows 7 Sony Vaio laptop: USB-parallel interface did not work. Bought and installed StarTech 1 Port PCI Express (x 1) basic parallel ExpressCard ($70 +) that supports two-way equipment. Removed the previous installation of BJC - 80 and reinstalled the printer on LPT3 (was on LPT1). Worked perfectly. Hope you have an ExpressCard interface to use; If this isn't the case, maybe there are other bidirectional port LPTx more robust handling solutions. Found this solution of amateur astronomers who were trying to get the old CCD cameras to work via the printer port. They found the USB interface / incomplete and required parallel bidirectional handling. Nice to have this small printer with me on travel now. I hope this helps.

  • Canon BJC-50 printer and scanner work with Windows 7?

I have a printer Canon BJC-50 with the cartridge scanner.  I ordered a USB to parallel cable adapter must be able to connect to my laptop, because I do not have a parallel port.  The Windows 7 compatibility page says that this printer is compatible with Windows 7.  Canon said that it is not.

Has anyone successfully connected and used a Canon BJC-50 with Windows 7?  If so, were there any problems?

HI - same issue with Canon BJC-80. Says Windows is compatible and Cannon did not write! My BJC-80 prints OK with a USB/parallel cable and install via Windows 7 OK - but printer response time is in minutes to hit a comand "Print" in any program, for example. MS Word 2010?

Suppose that we are victims of the creep of technology and need to buy a new printer - shame I have heaps of cartridges left!

  • My CANON PIXMA MG3200 printer driver is corrupt!

My printer Canon PIXMA 3200 seems to overlap when I try to print-copy! Some TECH of the CANON, at least that's what he said he was. Told me that my printer driver has been corrupted & I needed $ 199.99 for the Correct program pay! I don't have any money right now, trying to find a job with my printer creates more financial problems & I need a solution that is free! Anyone have any Suggestions? Please I need help!

If this is a problem with the printer driver, you don't need to pay anything.

You must uninstall the printer drivers and related software (commercial printer) first and then install the driver from http://usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/printers_multifunction/photo_all_in_one_inkjet_printers/pixma_mg3220#DriversAndSoftware

First uninstall, the Start button > type devices and printers > open devices and printers. Select your printer, right click and select remove device.

Then go to programs and features in Control Panel and uninstall the printer utilities.

Then download the drivers on link and install.

If the problem is not resolved, you may need to contact Canon support. But in this case, it is not likely to be a driver problem, but rather a problem with the printer itself.

  • Canon mp280 series PRINT DRIVER cannot be installed in my Windows7 please help me :(

Hi everyone Im having a problem with my new printer which is MP287 CANON.

The application of canon was installed and I've also corrected the problem 0 x 00000709 (default printer), but the error 0x00000002 always appeared whenever I go to printer properties and add the driver(from windows) I tried many times but it always says that there is that my printer was not installed.. I also downloaded the driver from the canon website, but it doesn't really seem to work :( This is my 3rd day solving this problem... I honestly don't really have enough knowledge with this stuff. Please help me guys :'(((

But you have installed the drivers before connecting the printer? Otherwise, windows can install its own drivers for the printer, if you connect to the printer and then turn it on

You can try what this guy did in the last post

  • Windows 7 64 bit laptop on wireless network can not find .inf wired for Canon Pixma iP4000 printer driver for windows 7 32 bit PC

First of all, I read the thread on the laptop win 7 and win XP PC with attached IP4000.  I have just isn't helping me with that.  I am computer literate network, but I have to be dumbing down, so be specific in a response, you can give it.  Please, do not assume I know something just because it can be public knowledge.  Thank you for understanding my situation!

New Win 7 64 bit laptop connected wireless to a network home through a Netgear WNDR3700 router.  Wired to the router, it is a PC with a USB attached printer Canon IP4000.  This printer has worked without problem with this PC for years.  Add the laptop.  Try to access the printer on the network (it is set to be shared on the PC) translates into an inability to find the driver for the printer.  On the Canon download site, I downloaded and installed on both machines the driver add-on 'aomwin110ea23us.exe '.  This does nothing to solve the problem.  Then, follow the suggestions in the thread referenced above, I downloaded installed 7 - zip and unzipped the file add-on from Canon.  Guess what? -There is no, zero, nada, stupid ".inf" file in there!  I understand that I need share on the PC to both x 32 and x 64, but without a valid .inf file to point to, I'm sunk.  And the same is true when you try to add the printer to the laptop - not to point to .inf file.  Is the only thing that I have not tried to install the printer directly to the laptop via the USB port, and it's because this is not a configuration that is usable for me.  The printer must be attached to the PC.  Is there anyone out there who can help me solve this dilemma?  Please do not give me an answer telling me to download the driver - usually you tell me precisely what driver and then guide me through the process.  Rest assured that I appreciate sincerely any help you can give me.  Thanks in advance!

Most likely the name of the driver you are using on XP to share the printer a is not not the name of the 64-bit driver.  The pilots names must match in order to add the printer as a connection to the 64-bit computer using the normal RPC protocol.  You can configure the printer on 64-bit Windows 7 as a local printer that will basically copy the data from the printer to the format to share on the XP machine using SMB protocols.

This is a Ko for incompatible drivers when connecting XP to NT4.  Replace your server / client configuration, but it's the same process.  Make sure that you are connected to the internet and select the Canon 64 bit driver available on Windows Update (use the Windows Update button in add printer) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282842

  • Need driver for printer Canon BJC-210 for XP

I have Windows XP, need a driver for a Canon BJC-210 printer.  It works very well, have the ink.  Driver got wiped out when entire disk had to be wiped clean to caused by a virus.

Canon itself does not have one, and there are all kinds of scams out there to want not to download whatever it is not safe.
This printer still works, ink lasts forever and able to get cartridges still easily.
Do not want in the trash without no reason.

The driver integrated in Windows XP does not work for you?

What happens when you connect the printer to the computer?  Please provide error messages without paraphrase.

    Or try:

    • Connect the printer.
    • Cancel the Wizard "new hardware found" opens.
    • Click Start > printers and faxes > add printer
    • Select "local printer attached to this computer.
    • Uncheck "automatically detect and install my plug and play printer."
    • Select "Use the following port", and then select the appropriate port in the drop down list (see note below)
    • On the next screen, select Canon and BJC-210.
    • Complete the wizard.

Note: Things can be difficult if the printer connects USB and there is not "virtual printer to USB port" in the drop-down list.  The simplest solution I've seen is to connect any generic USB printer.  After installation of Plug and Play, you can remove the printer but the USB virtual port will be there.

  • Windows 7 driver for Canon BJC 210 inkjet printer

I need a Windows 7 driver for my Canon Bubble Jet BJC - 210 printer.

Does anyone know how to get a printer driver for my old inkjet Canon BJC-210 printer.  When I bought in the late 1990s a driver disc wassupplied with a driver for Windows 3.1, and he continued working when I upgraded to a laptop running Windows XP.

Now have a new laptop with Windows 7 loaded and Microsoft no longer supports the driver.
Does anyone have an idea.  The printer is a nice, small, just to feel and I was always happy with it and I have lots of spare ink.
It would be a shame to have to throw away sust in the interest of a printer driver.

1990? If the drive was origonally to the win3 its will not work under win7. The printer is not compatible with win7.

If you have win7 Pro or Ultimate installed there are some options, which can be complicated to impliment.

  • I can not connect windows 7 to an old Canon BJC 250 (have USB to parallel cable. conv)

I have a Canon BJC 250 printer connected to the USB port ieee. Its a printer Workhouse. Never had a paper jam all these years. (1996), I found ink cart. to do this in a thrief store. I can't seem to part with them. His semple to operate and works better than my Dell 725 and the Epson conbo. I would like to know if there is conpatable with Windows 7. I can't install the driver of this OS. If anything can work with other pilots from cannon. Notes; I still have the installation CD. but it will not be installed.

If you go to the website of Canon in the following link, it shows as the latest drivers for XP.  In addition, if you click on "Service and support" at this link and then search for "Windows 7", you will find a document that lists the BJC series printers that are supported for Windows 7 and the 250 is not on this list. "  Here is the link to Canon: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/bjc_series/bjc_250_series#ServiceAndSupport
I thought that maybe the BJC-240 which is support could be close enough, but based on what follows, where the user asking the question said he tried this driver, apparently we don't: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/canon-bubble-jet-bjc-250-printer/d27af8d2-a770-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5

Go in the * Canon * Website and look. I can't tell you if
the drivers, you need exist or not, but keep in mind that each time a
new operating system comes out, the former hardware manufacturers
often decide that it is is not worth their time and their efforts to develop
new drivers for it. So, you might well be out of luck.
