  I use the software OverDrive media console for years to download and listen to audio books from my local library. After the most recent update of windows 7 and the media console, I can transfer is no longer my audiobooks on my ipod. I've updated everything! When I click on the button transfer everything seems as it should. Then a box comes up and says "transfer Assistant has stopped working windows is looking for a solution..."   I use Win 7 64 bit. I spent an hour with Canon. I followed their directions without success.  I did everything suggested on the internet without success.   I uninstalled and reinstalled. I tried to fix the corrupted user file. The scanner send scans to the computer for work. The person Canon thought it might be a corrupt and says something about a twain file function registry file. Here are the details of the problem:

• Save the Image under... stopped working after 4.0.1 FF install

  Firefox has been my default browser for many years, so I was shocked when a base like this feature has stopped working. The problem is simple to describe: for an image on any webpage, when I right click and choose "Save Image under...". ', no dialog appears asking where to save the file and what to name; an hourglass appears briefly; and when I move the mouse, it is as if I never right click at all. Nothing appears in the download history.

  This feature is dead in the water, period. I can't make it work at all. I restarted Firefox, restarted, and nothing helps.

  I don't want to overreact, but this is a function I use very frequently, and I'm just speechless, that such a basic function has stopped working as soon as I upgraded FF 3.6.x. Help, please!

  Well my problem starts like this I have a Qosmio X 500 - 12Z, I bought the first months have been very well so my fingerprint utility suddenly stops when I try to manually turn it on says "failed to connect sensor" I don't know what to do I don't alter any drivers or anything like that. I tried to reinstall it but still the same thing, TEMPRO also stopped working all at the same time. When I try to manually turn TEMPRO, it says executable no longer works

  Well, generally if you don't need the fingerprint sensor, you can ignore this error message. Also TEMPRO is not so important because it only informs you of new updates of pilot and if everything is ok with your laptop you n t need the latest drivers or tools.

  But if the two applications of don t run I recommend their resettlement. Uninstall these two tools and restart your computer. Then run CCleaner which is a freeware registry cleaner to remove old registry keys. Restart again and then download & install the latest version of these tools.

  I ran the System File Checker and there find and repair corrupt files. However, the problem is still there.

  Ok. I solved the problem by seeking advice in another thread. Here's what I did:

  I solved this by going to my computer > click the "Organize" (upper-left) > folder and search options > view tab check "Show icons, never thumbnails" option and uncheck the "display file on the photos." This prevents windows to generate images and solved the problem for me. Less visually flashy Yes, but at least not need a cloth and restart is).

  I'm moving all my pictures from external storage. Guess that's the motivation that I needed to finally get the prints and albums. :) I hope this helps someone else.

• DV7 error when viewing of images: "COM Surrogate has stopped working".

  Hi, I got a new replacement laptop (Pavilion dv7-7008tx with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) HP last Friday, June 8, and I find that when I browse through multiple images in the Windows Photo Viewer I invariably get the error 'COM Surrogate has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem... "I close the window and reopen and it is fine. This does not happen with specific images.

  Problem solved. I went on HP Live Chat support and the technician gave me the download links to updates to the graphics driver, which solved the problem.

• I can't install the driver for my Canon iP2702 printer, which has stopped working.

  I bought a new one, same model, same problem. It works on another pc, but I can't just install the driver of any method. I also tried a different model (Epson C86), same problem. I restarted the print spooler, delete the registry files before reinstalling, tried to use the disk, using the latest version of the following driver from Windows Update Wizard "add a printer" - nothing works.   I assume you are using the wireless printer. You have made no changes to the network recently? For example, new router or wireless password has changed.

  For the problem of scan, I found the following procedure works.

  • Enter the IP address of the printer in the address bar of your browser and press ENTER. If you do not know the IP address, print a Network Setup page using the procedure shown on page 52 of thehttp://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/6500/v4897402_en.pdf user's guide. The address will be probably 192.168.x.y where x.y is the number assigned to the printer.
  • Now, you will be connected to an administrative page on the printer.
  • Select Configuration.
  • Select a scan in the management of network hosts.
  • Check users to delete all registered.
  • Select Remove.
  • Try to start a new search.

  I suggest that you perform the clean boot procedure and check if it works.

  Scanning was not a problem before a few days ago. No new software or programs have been installed.

  Went to scan a document and scan looked like it was working, then dimmed it and received the error message: Canon MP Navigator EX has stopped working.

  Searched internet solutions and tried them. Nothing works. I went as far to uninstall all Canon products and utility, even went into the registry and searched and removed everything that I thought I could associated with Canon.

  Always error. What should I do now?

  There may be a third scanner driver interferes with MP navigator.  Please, try the following:

  1. click on 'Start' and then on 'computer '.

  2. in the left pane, click the arrow next to the record Local (c).

  3. click on the arrow next to Windows to open the folder

  4. highlight the twain_32 folder.

  5. the folder should have 2 folders that begin with PIXMA MX870 and a file called wiatwain.ds.  Other folders or files must be moved to the office.

  6. restart the computer and try to scan the image.

  Right-click on my computer and select Manage

  Click on Device Manager

  Click on the + sign next to the printer

  Right-click on your printer and select uninstall

  Click on the + sign next to imaging devices

  Right-click on your printer and select uninstall

  Click on the + sign next to Bus USB controllers

  Right-click on your printer and select uninstall

  Close the Device Manager

  Restart the computer and allow Windows to reinstall the drivers

  Go to HP.com and search for software updates

  www.HP.com

  Fill & Sign - when you use the signature feature, why the ability to 'Apply' an image of signature suddenly stopped working?  The screen freezes.  Or the function options cancel or apply.
