• 5.5 Cap lock on any audio operation

  For some reason, if I try to carry out ANY type of operation audio, Captivate 5.5 is locked up, forcing an exit from the Task Manager. I uninstalled and reinstalled PC, same problem. I then tried audio operations in Audacity, recorder of Windows, etc. without any problems. Any ideas?

  At any point you connected to a second monitor? Sometimes, a window opens to the large screen and you think that Captivate is locked up, when in fact it all there just a dialog box open in a field, you can't see. I had this happen several times yesterday in the facilitation of a class. Fortunately, it was a task simple to configure the projection system as a second monitor and rescue audio dialogs briefly again in the viewable aree. But I had to do it three or four times. And Yes, they treated all with Audio!

  In my opinion not so humble, the dev team really needs to put some effort in engaging dialogues like these in the visible area if the second monitor is not present. But this is not likely to happen unless they perceive people enough about it. How do you hear them? By filling a form/Bug report here! (the link is in my signature)

• Can I stop the slide (text to speech) audio when a legend of quizzes with audio feedback is displayed?

  Hi there, we use text-to-speech on all of our slides, however there is a problem, we have been unable to resolve.  If we have audio on a blade of quiz that this continues to play when the legend of feedback is displayed.  This means that if a learner clicks on the answer quickly, they hear the text on the slide and the text of the caption on top of the other.  How can I stop the slide audio if the legend of feedback is displayed.  We tried shares advanced to "stop audio triggered" and experimented with invisible text captions that have audio added, but have not so far resolved.  Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? Any help gratefully received, thank you so much Janet

  PS We use 8 Captivate with the installed voices text-to-speech

  It is currently a common problem with audio in modules of Captivate quiz slides.

  The configuration options for interactive objects on slides of quiz does not allow the same level of control for audio playback with normal interactive objects on other slides.  (for example to be able to stop the other audio when the user clicks on something).

  The Audio triggered Stop action is often misunderstood.  But as its name makes clear, it only applies to stop an audio clip that was TRIGGERED by another action of the art.  That does not apply to background sound, slide level audio or audio level object.

  My suggestion is that you return to your design and determine which of the two audio clips (sound feedback or slide) you can do without.  Maybe your learners them useless as much as you think.

  I have a very basic question.  When you use presenter 8, how we re - record audio on a single slide in the presentation?  I noticed the mention of the option to record the audio for the entire presentation or a single slide mode, but this box does not appear when I type record.   Audio recording for any slide replace the previous audio present on the slide or

  simply record audio if the blade has no audio.

  Here are the steps:

  1. display the slide you want to edit audio.

  2. click on the audio button.

  3 PPT slide show and the record dialog box will appear once the device (MIcrophone) for registration will be verified.

  4. click on the record button on the recording of the presenter dialog box and start recoeding.

  You must save the audio once you have finished recording.

  There is a Slide Navigator on the record audio dialog box that can be used to navigate to any slide in the presentation.

  A 'play' button is present to play and control audio recorded.

• Audio not pause slide.

  Using Captivate 6.  Presentation has audio on every slide.  On a slide, I have added a click with porperty box to "slide to break up what the user clicks" and go to the next slide.  However. the blade stops, but the sound continues to the next slides.  How I stop the audio when the blade stops, then resume when the user clicks the click box?

• Satellite A300 think button is held down and starts (long)

  Hey sorry it's long, but I'd really like some help,

  OK, so I was wondering if there is a way to solve this problem...

  I was on my Satellite A300 (just over a year) last night playing Left 4 Dead 2 demo using stream network and everything suddenly co-op Online camera Assistant window opens minamising Left 4 Dead 2.

  I found it strange because I had closed the sidebar of popup for Camera Wizard at startup so that there would be no popup and do exactly what he did...

  Remembering of the ' Melissa I assumed that the computer was not happy that 'u' button was held down at startup so keep in mind that the fron keys are actually removable, I (very carefully) removed the front "u". Everything looked "normal" under... (I compared it to the key 'y') and so he presses a few times and re-places of the façade. On count it... Same thing happened...

  I then tried to take out the battery and then put it in to see if this would help... Again, the tone has played... I have unplugged my iPod, took on the CD and removed the memory card to see if it would help... It didn't unfortunately.

Yet once Enter would not work... And this is my time so far...

  You can try to start windows in safe mode by pressing the F8 key and then choose Safe mode.
  Then windows should start only using certain necessary processes
  If the history is related to the issue of software then you should be able to start safe mode

  I use the System Configuration utility to examine the services and startup tabs.  My computer running Windows 7.  I would like to delete the programs that I must not load at startup and to increase the speed of the laptop and decrease time to start and stop (out of the box it runs a bit slow).

  Need some advice about what some of these applications and services are doing.  I do not like if their non-malveillant, just if I need to run at startup or I can simply call them up when necessary, or if they will be automatically called up if necessary:

• Captivate 9: background sound doesn't work don't not in publication

  I've been testing captivate Road 9 a lot recently... and I'm having a lot of problems when publishing.

  When I publish a normal empty project with an audio file (.mp3 or .wav) background, he repeats, glitches and sometimes looks like its overlap of the two in the same track on the other. Any idea of what is the cause? The audio of the main slide is fine, it's just the background noise!

  Thank you for reporting the issue. The problem occurs when the project is published on .mp4 which has audio and audio slide background. And the audio of the blade is not present in the first slide.

  In this case, you can try this workaround and let us know that it resolves the problem.

  Add audio to slide on the first slide of 0 to 0.5 sec and change by inserting silence.

• Captivate 5: slides will not play automatically

  I am facing a problem with Captivate 5 (just starting to use it, in fact still a trial version but the full purchase in a few weeks) that I hope someone can help me with. I have a presentation of 32 slides with audio (imported by blade) and some animation boxes and setting highlighted on some slides. Animations and highlight boxes are synchronized with the audio. When I saw or publish it in format pdf, I noticed that it does not automatically play the slides. The audio starts automatically, but must press the play button to get the boxes/highlight to start animation timing. So if you press the play button 5 seconds after the start of the audio on a slide, and then the highlight boxes and animations will not match upward (they would be 5 seconds behind). In addition, the slides didn't automatically advances until you press the playback button (and the "timing" on the slide runs until the end).

  I thought it was something in terms of do not have autoplay, but I put it on auto run. I even played with having the preloader up to 0 to 100 just about everywhere in between. I also played with the settings of each slide to see if it was something in terms of the action of dragging out. I fixed to continue, and even updated no action (where I had to click on the next button to move forward), but then again, nothing helps.

  Also, where this is relevant, I have a next and back button each screen. On the first screen, I have a text entry box (I shoot the variable in another form), and the length of the blade is defined by the audio (a few seconds).

  What can I do to fix this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

  What is the chronology of the first slide? I see not all objects, because you're talking about a text entry area that is not visible. What I see, is that you have a fade the first slide and the 2 buttons pause the slide to about 1.5 seconds after the start. The slide itself seems to be much longer than the audio, unlike what you said in your question, or you have an object much later? In this case, the problem is with the two buttons that do a break before this object. Could you post a screenshot of the full chronology of the first slide, maybe what you see is only linked to that?

  I recently made the switch from fcp7 to fcpx and I'm having a real hard time! There are many things that I can't understand how to do, and it's just one of them:

  Solo Cup audio tracks with the blade tool (or another medium, if there is). Can I cut the audio clips on one side, but how I cut a piece in the middle of the clip?

• Radio Shark no audio with El Cap - fixed!

  Just thought I would post a fix if anyone out there still has a Radio (by Griffin) shark and lost audio when the upgrade to El Cap.

  Some information. After the upgrade to El Cap, I found that my audio Radio Shark had disappeared. The Radio Shark entry was still visible in the sound system prefs and audio actually sound level meter LED-style in moving window of entry prefs, but you could just hear the sound. Even stranger, when Skyping, the person I was Skyping with might the audio of the Radio Shark hea if the application was open, but I could not.

  I went to the Griffin support pages, and they basically said, Hey, he had a good long run, but we do not support it more. I played with the MIDI parameters using the MIDI utility, but not luck. Last night, in a moment of inactivity, I did another search and found a mention of a solution as page 7 of 15 in a long thread somewhere (not here), and much to my delight, it worked for me!

  The fix involved opening Final Vinyl and setting the entry (in the preferences for this program) to shark Radio I left Final Vinyl and restarted the application Radio Shark, and I got audio!

  I just have a final copy of vinyl, but if I understand correctly, it's now free. I would first check the Mac app store, but it is also available on Softonic and Macupdate. I haven't used either of people lately, but it seems that these days, you might also get some these Mackeeper downloads and similar, so be careful.

  BTW, I have NO idea why this Voodoo works in this case, but as I said, he did it for me.

• 'Caps Lock' notification AUDIO 7 windows - seems it is no longer available

  On Windows XP, I got audio notification when hitting Caps Lock.

  Is it possible to activate 7?

  Yes.  Go to search programs and files that immediately precedes the Start button and type "toggle" and select "Change how your keyboard works" and select "Activate the ToggleKeys."

  Another way to get there: go to control panel > accessibility > Ease of Access Center > make the keyboard easier to use - then select "activate the ToggleKeys.

• The blades does not add audio

  I worked on a market course and stop for a while in Captivate 7. Today when I added 7 new landslides I went to add audio to slides via Audio > management of speech and slides do not appear for me to add the audio. I saved the course and restarted Captivate but the blades are still missing in the management section of the speech (they appear in the film and can be modified if)

  Can you try to clean the preferences by closing 7 Captivate first, then go to: -.

  C:\Program Files (for 64 bit) or Program Files (x 86) (for 32 bit) \Adobe\ Adobe Captivate 7 x64\utils\ and CleanPreferencesWin.bat file to run.

  Launch of Captivate 7 by a right click on it and select run as administrator and see if that makes a difference.

  Look at the timeline for each slide: there should be a click at the end delete box those click on the boxes.
