  There are many causes of Code 39 errors:

  ·         A required device driver is missing.

  ·         A required binary file is corrupted.

  ·         There is a problem with the file I/O process.

  ·         A driver that refers to an entry point in another binary file cannot load.

  I suggest you try the following steps:

  Step 2: Uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

   

  1. click on start and then click Control Panel.

  2. click on system and Maintenance, click System, and then click Device Manager.

  3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

  4. in Device Manager, expand CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, right click on the device CD and DVD and then click on uninstall.

  5. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK.

  6. restart the computer.

  After the computer restarts, the drivers will be installed automatically.

  Caps lock symbol that appears on the screen when you turn on / turn off the caps key lock is cute, but he tends to hang out all the time, even when the caps lock is off.  Is it possible to disable this feature?

  There is an option for that.

  Right-click on the desktop > screen resolution > advanced settings > display tab on the screen.

  I think the default value may have been changed somewhere along the way, so an update of the hotkey package might also do the trick.

  Yes.  Go to search programs and files that immediately precedes the Start button and type "toggle" and select "Change how your keyboard works" and select "Activate the ToggleKeys."

  Another way to get there: go to control panel > accessibility > Ease of Access Center > make the keyboard easier to use - then select "activate the ToggleKeys.

• Caps Lock indicator on screen Windows 7

  First be sure you have the latest version of the software you download for your keyboard:

  Once installed, you can proceed as follows:

  > Click Start
  > keyboard in the search field type
  > double click on keyboard options
  > on the settings tab of the key, go to the list of key parameters
  > Locate and double-click CAPS LOCK
  > in the menu, you should see where it says "State LOCK SHIFT display on screen.
  > Click on the checkbox, then click on finish

  I followed the instructions to make sure I don't understand the "update notification" on stop downs and other tips, but I have more patience at this point.  This has been going on and I can't the system up to date.  I made every effort (by previous questions and answers) to ensure that the free trial of Norton has been removed from this computer.  It is a laptop.

  Applications, (Norton and McAfee) are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself.

  [You may want to print these instructions for reference offline. If a step said to reboot, reboot.]

  1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all Norton software (including LiveUpdate and everything Norton Add ons) via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

  4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

  NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

  5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator.  DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

  Yes. Buy a reader able to read SDHC cards. You can buy them very
  low cost;  for example, on Amazon.com, you can find one for $2.50

  It sounds like the hard drive has been damaged.

  You are perhaps lucky that your computer was not more badly damaged.

• Compaq Presario CQ62-412NR does not start. Caps lock flashes.

  The LED caps lock flashes repidadly with long breaks between each blink, the wireless light and constant and the adapter LED is steady.   This looks like a problem with the motherboard if you already replaced the CPU and RAM.

  Hello, I have a desktop Gateway with Windows 7 installed on it. I recently bought the adapter Linksys AE3000

  get internet for it, but whenever I have it plug in, the light comes not now or anything like that. I tried the CD as well and it is said that

  the adapter is not detected. I've tried different usb in the port itself and they worked perfectly, I also tried the

  adapter on another computer and it worked perfecftly.

  I downloaded the correct driver for it and installed it on my computer, but when I try to update, it says: "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error when trying to install."  The adapter is displayed in the Device Manager and everything, but it just won't work little matter what I do, I could do to fix it?

  I had the same problem. If you reinstall Windows, the connected device and choose install drivers, having them ready on USB key, cd or diskette, the ae3000 will work when you plug it in after the installation. If you already have some winders installed 7 delete and remove all the drivers for the ae3000 then restart in safe mode by pressing F8 during the restart. Mine doesn't let me do this for a reason, so I me in SafeMode with power off then turn it back on it gives you the possibility to go in safe mode. Manually install the drivers, Rebooot and they work. These two methods have always worked for me. Good luck.

  #1, try the FTP mode passive switching power in the definition of your remote server site.

  

  #2 with the exception of a handful of gaming sites, Flash is a web technology dead.  It is not taken care of by iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Android, etc...  I don't recommend to use Flash for anything these days.  Better to use HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS level 3.

  Older versions such as Windows XP, 7 included an option in the language settings and area extended to release the caps lock with a simple pressure to shift instead of hitting the Caps Lock again.

  I can't find this option in Windows 8 and I regularly hit the CL accidentally. :-(

  This option does not seem to exist anymore.
  But there is a method that still does the trick:
  1. Open regedit
  2. Go HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ keyboard layout
  3. In the right pane, modify/add DWORD32 attributes value
  4. Choose the format Hex and enter 10000
  5. Confirm the value, disconnection and it should work!
