• Captivate 4 does not start

  When I try to start Captivate early > menu programs, and startup, and then after the display screens of "Copy of the first files run" displays, disappears from the splash screen and Captivate does not start.

  I just found out that you can actually change the path to 'My Adobe Captivate projects' in Captivate preferences. If you look in the preferences - General settings you can find a location by default to publish. I just changed mine to a directory directly on my C:\ drive. I never save anything in 'My Adobe Captivate projects' anyway so this will stop at least Captivate behave badly if he can't get access reading / writing on the network drive.

• Captivate 8 does not start

  After a download experience completely horrible Captivate 8 for Mac (why is not an Akamai Download Manager necessary especially when it works and Adobe knows this and asks me to download Firefox to do a manual download?), I finally got a DMG which took 5 minutes to install (why? other great software program for Mac installation in seconds) and presented a dialog box with a launch button.  Press launch... nothing.  Go to my Applications folder and select Adobe Captivate app-, menu search Adobe Captivate 8 Eh Yes you guessed it - nothing.  Anyone else run into this? and have a solution? TIA.

  Yes, it is necessary to have Java installed in the system to perform Captivate because it uses Java during compilation when you generate the swf file.   Run the latest version of Captivate 9. When I publish the project to HTML 5, playback does not start on IE 11 or Edge (I tested it on two different computers of Win10). Just the wheel of perpetual rotation.

  The demo of Capitvate 4 does not work on my computer even if it seems to install fine, and I am puzzled. In fact, the program does not start after installation, then suddenly was able to launch that only once, then it wouldn't start again. I get the splash screen and then nothing.

  OK, I thought about it.

  Captivate 4 calls on the 'My documents' folder during startup and it is directed to a place that you don't have write access (UM, I'm a Mac user and never realized this curious Microsoft Windows folder was supposed to actually be accomplished somewhere), then it crashes on start.

  I've reconfigured my "My documents" folder and now it works. Now the only thing of lovecraftian is why Captivate worked once before that I thought that off... fnord.

• Siri does not start under macOS Sierra

  I've recently updated to macOS Sierra (public version) and everything seems fine, except for allowing to Siri. I tried to enable the system preferences as well as execution of the Siri application in the application. I even tried to 'facilitation' by selecting in the menu bar.

  In any case it does not start. Upon activation in system preferences, I get "There was an error in the preferences of Siri." and it takes back me to the main view of system preferences.
