  Shooting tethered with Nikon D600 is not supported in Lr 4.3 and not Lr. 4.4 either. Maybe Lr 4.5 - who knows.

  In addition, you want the latest DNG Converter to make sure you're camera and any new camera you might get can have the converted files. Upon their conversion, you select the version of Camera Raw for your version of Photoshop, so Photoshop can then open these DNG files.

  Looks like you are applying (accidentally) a "Preset" for these photos. Make sure that there is no preselection specified in the import dialog box, and the first (bottom) in the history of develop does not list a preset.

  Hi Yanni,

  Tethered shooting works fine with Lightroom 6.4 on El Capitan.

  You can then go ahead and buy Lightroom and perform the tethered shooting.

• Error with Nikon D600 and PES 11 in the RAW (.nef) 9 files.

  When I used PSE 8, I could easily open all the .nef files and edit them.

  Now with PES 11, I get an error message that says that my camera is not compatible. I got a Nikon D600 and use a VR Nikon ED AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm 01:35-45 G, Nikon ED Lens EF - S Nikkor VR 70-300 mm lens of 01:45-56 G and a Nikon DX AF - S Nikkor 18-55 mm 01:35-56 G too.

  I bought PSE 2 of 11 weeks. I bought the Nikon in a local photo store in November 2012.

  By the Adobe Web site, I installed the patches DNG 7.2, 7.3 and 8.1. None have solved the problem after completely installing the download (to complete) and reboot the PC several times.

  When Lightroom and elements will support Nikon D600?  Is Meanwhile a workaround for D600 raw files can be exported to Lightroom or am I just out of business until what Adobe develops the necessary patch?

  As best as I understand I can I as well rebox the 600 and go back to my older camera, supported, until whenever.

I just got a brand new Mac Book with El Capitan, Lightroom and Capture One Pro, the two programs I use the most, can't recognize my Nikon D600. I've read about it and some people say it's a problem of EL CAPITAN, some say its something on USB 3.0 problem... Please I need help.

  There was a problem with the attachment of cameras Nikon to Lightroom with OSX 10.11.x. make sure you that your copy is up-to-date. This could help. Maybe not.

  If you're on the latest version of MAC, Nikon is not attached with Lightroom.

• D810 Captive Capture

  Could someone please help before I go out my hair

  I've never done captive capture before but I have a shoot coming at the end of the month where I have to shoot captive.

  I have a D810 with 15 ft Teather Pro USB 3.0 cable connected to a MacBook Pro under OS X El Capitan and Lightroom CC.

  Before moving to Lightroom CC (today), I had LR5.7 that was supposed to support captive capture with the D810.  However, lightroom could not / would not detect the camera.   I contacted Adobe who advised the upgrade to LRCC that supported this captive capture with the D810.  However, Lightroom, for reasons unbeknownst to me, seems to refuse to recognize the camera.  I tried a number of different methods of connection and turn it on, but nothing seems to work.

  I saw the link Adobe captive troubleshooting online for capture, but nothing of what is described work or seems relevant to my particular problem, and to be honest, it seems outdated too.

  Am I just being stupid and overlooking on something really simple or captive capture with CRD and Nikon D810 just doesn't.

  All the answers, including the parameters of the camera that I could be on would be greatly appreciated before that I find myself completely bald...!

  With the help of Photoshop CS6 with Camera Raw 8.3 and still failed to open NEF in Nikon D600. The files can be opened in Nikon Capture so that they are not corrupt. There is no Camera Raw later update. Someone at - it a solution?

  You download images with an older version of Nikon Transfer? Which is known to stop them being readable by Adobe software. If Yes, you must update the program, and there is a 3rd party program which corrects the files so they can be opened, here: http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/fix_corrupted_nef.html

  I am a student and am to shoot captive under the program, that I am. I just bought a Nikon D600 and have so far been able it attaches to lightroom 4. Is there a way to get around this? I really prefer not to buy a software like Ive already sunk a lot of money to the school already. Is Lightroom works on fixing, or is it hopeless?

  While Lightroom 4.2 added support for raw D600 (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html) files, it has not added support for attachment the D600 (http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/tethered-camera-support-lightroom-4.html).

  Even if can be added in a future update.

  .... Updating Adobe this week installed... All of a sudden cannot import pictures from my Nikon D600... Find all the files... but does nothing...

  I restarted the computer, the camera, the USB interface multiple times. It doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.

  In the import dialog box, make sure that the destination Panel is developed and the file that you are importing into is listed at the top of the file path to right.

  The record should also have read & write permissions. Press Cmd + i to display the information dialog box, and click the lock icon if the permissions should change.
