Thank you

Hi Jeroen,

I have to disappoint you, the map does not fit into your machine.

This is the map you´ve says:
http://www.ThinkWiki.org/wiki/Intel_PRO/Wireless_4965AGN_Mini-PCI_Express_Adapter
It s a MINI-PCI card "Fast", but your Satellite 6100 card has just a MINI-PCI, but NOT "express". It s just a MINI-PCI slot.

Here´s a MINI-PCI Express slot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express_Mini_Card

Which is o so YOU WILL NEED a card because it fits in your home: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini_PCI

Just look for cards that are suitable for a "MINI-PCI" housing The best would be to take an atheros card, but you can also try a product intel.

Welcome them

  • Intel 4965agn wireless wrong with vista Home premium sp2

recently I had to reinstall vista (clean install of 2007 system disk) due to an unknown problem that caused the ms does not recognize my installation as "authentic." The system is updated after a week of daily updates. before this problem my wireless connection worked continuously for years without problems. I remember having some problem with it before sp1, but certainly no problems since sp2. Since the reinstallation, I was not able to get the wireless to work. Device Manager indicates Intel wireless wifi link 4965agn works fine, but the diagnostics windows network says "intel...» 4965AGN"knows driver or hardware related issues. I tried updating to the latest driver for vista (32 bit) intel (13.2.1.5) and the issue has not changed. I have a gateway with processor nx860xl intel core2 t7200 cpu and 2 GB ram.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem? How do I can diagnose to refine the cause to the driver or hardware or system settings or registry errors, etc.? Is there another driver who would be better suited or I'd better go back to XP or forward for win7? I have never had to reinstall older XP on my laptop. It was the 3rd or 4th reinstallation of Vista (although the last one was a good two years ago). I just want to get the wireless working again, so I must not be attached to my router for internet, etc.. Thanks for any help or suggestion.

    Hello

Connect you to the support page of Intel card download the latest Intel drivers and update any drivers you have now.

After installation, make sure that the Intel Wireless utility is not running in the background. Turn it off and get out of the startup folder.

    In general

There is an inherent Catch22 to attempt to repair a computer wireless through wireless. Given that the without wire is not connected to the source, there is no interaction between the wireless source and the Wireless Client and no frame of reference to find what works and what does not.

As a first step, I will temporarily move the computer to a place close to the wireless router and plug with a wire.

When he works with a wire, switch Off the Wireless Security in the router, disconnect the wire and try to make wireless work. This must be done when the computer is always close to the wireless router to compensate for the weak, and or blocked the signal that could be part of the problem in the new suite spot work.

    In the computer itself.

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.

I have updated the BIOS to the latest version 3.80, remove the supervisor and user passwords, reset the BIOS to factory default, replace new card to another in the store, but the computer still does not start with the new wireless card installed. Any ideas how I can get to work my new wireless card?

Thank in advance for the help.

    Hello Grog

I presume you bought it without any verification of compatibility. Am I wrong? AFAIK this card WLAN (AGN) has 3 antenna connectors and your laptop to two. On processors Intel page I didn t find any info on compatibility, but I imagine that this WLAN card will be delivered with newer chipset and it is not easy to say if you can use it on your hardware platform.

All block BIOS I can't tell you everything but after 8 years of use of laptop Toshiba I can say that something like this is not known to me.

You can try to contact your local dealer or partner authorized in your country. They are also specialized for the hardware upgrade. They may be able to say more on the compatibility with the WLAN card you.

    Hi all

I bought a Wirless LAN (PA3236U-1MPC) card Kit for my SP A10. The site says it's compatible, but there are no instructions included for the A10. I have worked on where the mini-pci slot has been installed and the antennas.

I installed the drivers from the Web site (the only ones who have been accepted into the list of the drivers for my laptop were the ones - the Toshiba Atheros who do not work). But it does not find my network.

The switch on the fron is enabled and the little orange light is on?

Is there something I forgot to do? They are the right drivers?

    Thank you

    Hello

If your device comes preinstalled with restore CD there are two drivers included (Atheros and Toshiba) and both cards can be recognized and installed correctly. I don't know, but your card must be Toshiba card. The right driver you need for this is Toshiba Wireless LAN Driver V7.62.0.390.

Connect the White hand and black cable to THE and try again. Also check if the card is activated by using the FN + F8 key combination.

  • Legs of connection using the Intel 4965AGN network card

    Re Dell XPS M1330 Laptop

I have been using Windows 8 for over a month and used a copy of an extract for a few months before. A few days ago, I started to suffer from intermittent dropouts when using a wi - fi connection. I have not been able to solve this problem and so I looked online and find State Intel this adapter is not supported for Windows 8.

I tried to update the drivers and I thought the driver v13.3.0.137 as dated August 15, 2010 is up-to-date. On the Intel site there is no drivers for Windows 8, but the latest Windows 7 we're v15.3.1 as dated November 15, 2012.

The Dell Web site is useless, because they are always the list 2007 drivers for Vista.

I ran the Windows 8 Program Compatibility Assistant before moving on and he did not mention this incompatibility problem.

So, do I need an adapter compatible windows 8 or is there a solution? As I said originally, the problem appeared only in the last days, so I feel something else may be the cause of the problem, but I'm not sure how to check this.

Appears there is a sufficient solution by turning off 802.11n mode. I recently experienced similar problems with the 4965AGN and Windows 8, including intermittent wireless which disconnects restore only if the machine has rebooted. On another thread of discussion, someone had mentioned that their problems went away when they turned off Wireless-N on the map. I did the same thing and I had no problem since. Download the latest drivers from MS and Intel has not fixed the problem, it was isolate 802.11n wireless-N mode that did the trick.  Other threads, it seems that the 4965AGN has had problems dating back several years. No matter who is responsible for this driver, I am happy to have finally found a workaround and my ThinkPad T61P with Intel wireless works like a champ on Windows 8 by simply turning off 802.11n mode.

    Hello

Why you want to upgrade the WLan card?
I mean the Intel 3945ABG provide three different WLan standards.
OK, the Intel 4965AGN provides the standard 802.11 N standard, but this standard cannot be used because the wireless network card should 3 antenna wlan

  • Satellite A300 - code 31 with Intel 4965AGN network adapter

Need help with an error code 31 of fixation with my Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN network card. I restored the PC from scratch and installed the drivers, but still have the same problem. I also have a 6 AX88772A USB 2.0 Fast Etherner Adapter as part of a Toshiba port replicator that works very well. I spent the registry of all errors.

Any advice on what I could do to finally solve this problem?

    Hello

What drivers you have reinstalled exactly? Normally if the 31 error code appears in the Device Manager, it should be enough to reinstall the driver only. You can find it here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

You can install the driver if you go into Device Manager and select the WLAN card. Right-click on it and select Update driver. Don t forget to choose the Advanced installation where you can choose the driver yourself.

Please let me know what I need to do to make things work

    Hi chubbyhamster,

To me, it sounds like this map isn't WLAN compatible with your laptop. I guess that all wireless network adapters are compatible with all laptops (assignment of pins e. g.).

As far as I know use fast N project you need 3 antennas. I think Satellite A210-14 has just two antennas because only WIFI b/g card built in. This means that you can upgrade your laptop to the project speed N t.

Alternative you can use the LAN card or a USB key which takes in charge the project N, but in my view, WIFI b/g standard should be fast enough

  • What type of card PCI USB should I get for a PowerMac G3 1997?

I have a 1997 beige PowerMac G3, running system 9.2... I bought a USB PCI card to the computer, because it has not taken USB, but the operating system supports the. The description of the article says ICP should work for G3 G5 PowerMacs, but from what I've heard, it is quite a bit of difference between beige PowerMac G3 of 97 and the blue and white of 99. The eBay listing didn't say anything either, only that the product is supposed to run on a PowerMac G3, which, in all technicality, I.

So I bought and installed, this is where things went sour. The PowerMac has 3 PCI slots, and before you buy this card, I got a card for mini SCSI in the Central slot, which was actively working. As soon as the first installation of the USB PCI card (and by installing, I mean open the computer and plug on the motherboard), once the computer was back together again, he did that freeze the computer, and it would not start, only to turn and sit with the black screen.

Now, I had put the card in the slot below the SCSI Mini card and after trying to plug into the slot above the mini SCSI card, which only lead to the same result. So I then took the SCSI mini and put the USB PCI card into the Central slot. This time the computer is power up, but does not recognize my flash drive when plugged into the new USB card. I tried a USB and optical laser mouse light up, but the computer has not responded. And audit under the system of Apple, I noticed the card USB PCI did not appear in the material, while the SCSI card mini had done before.

I think that the computer with a PCI card in a location any of freezing in the Middle may be a quirk of this old computer, but I don't think that I use the bad PCI card for the machine, and I don't want to shoot trouble more as taking the computer outside whenever it freezes become tedious.

If someone could shed some light on this situation and direct me in the right direction to find something to put USB on my PowerMac, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Aidyn

What company manufactured the chip USB controller on the card (not the brand of card)?  You may need to take off a sticker to read the name.  Is it VIA or Opti?  These maps have been problematic for the beige G3s and could cause the gel.  I have had success with a card from IOGEAR USB 2.0 2-port in my fleet of beige G3s, which I attribute to them have a controller NEC chip.

  • Fourth card PCIe-6509 undetected by MAE

    Summary:

Measurement & Automation Explorer detects not only the fourth card of the NI PCIe-6509 installed in an HP Z800 workstation.

    Description of the problem:

After the installation of three cards of the NI PCIe-6509 and startup of Windows 7 (64 bit), Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAE) shows three cards.  Device Manager (DM ' Microsoft Windows) also shows that three "acquisition devices data' labeled ' PCIe-6509".»  After the closure of the PC, installation of a fourth map and start, MAE shows another three cards with the same names of devices as before, but one of the devices now displays the serial number of the fourth card.  DM 4 now shows 'Materials of Acquisition of data' labeled ' PCIe-6509 ".»  Three devices MAE report Bus numbers corresponding to three of the DM, property values 'bus '.  These bus numbers 0 x 3, 0x1C and 0 x 60.  The fourth DM has a value of property 'Bus' of '0 x 28 '.

To try a new hardware detection, I removed all the cards and removed the MAE devices, then reinstalled the cards one by one.  First, I installed the card that was not previously reported to the MFA.  After the installation of each of the first three cards, the MAE has reported each additional device.  During the installation of the fourth card, MAE has reported only three devices, with the third unit indicating the serial number of the card of the fourth.  This is the same behavior, such as observed at the start.

    Issues related to the:

Why does Measurement & Automation Explorer detect all four cards at the same time?

Is there a limitation in the driver or the MFA which translates a number of maximum card of three?

Vary the order of card insertion while maintaining the slot filling order (location 1-> 3-> 4-> 7).  With the insertion order of original card (serial numbers A-> B-> C-> D), MAX reported after each insertion A-> A, B-> A, B,C -> A, B,D.  By repeating the sequence with swapped third and fourth cards (A-> B-> D-> C), MAX reported after each insertion A-> A, B-> A, B,D -> A, B,C.  So I conclude that the failure is in correlation with the slot (insertion order or position) and not correlated to the card.

Connect the hard drive power connector.  When connecting the power supply to the cards in slots 4 and 7, with the cards in slots 1 and 3, MAX always also detects the only cards in slots 1, 3 and 7.

Remove the cards.  A configuration where MAX detects cards in slots 1, 3 and 7 and does not report the card in slot 4, I removed the map into the Groove 4.  MAX continued to three newsletters in slots 1, 3 and 7.  Then I restored the configuration of four cards, and then I removed the cards in slots 4 and 7.  MAX continued to report the three cards, and each reported card self test failed.  This is the first time that MAX has reported more devices that are currently installed in the computer.

Remove the database from the MAX.  With the cards in slots 1, 3, 4 and 7, I followed the instructions suggested to remove the potentially corrupted Max database.  For the first start following removal of the database, MAX recognizes all four cards!  All cards self-test successfully.  Yet, when starting, MAX recognizes only the cards in slots 1, 3 and 7 and reported the device to the card in the slot 4 as missing/deleted (white icon, cannot reset or self test).  MAX continues to present the card in slot 4 as missing or deleted after the additional boots/reboots.  This behavior supports the theory that MAX is corrupt its data base.  To work around this supposed corruption, the user must delete the database before you turn off the computer and reconfigure the devices from the start of the computer - unwanted resolution.

The use of the niche Vary.  I have the cards installed in slots 1, 3, 4 and 5 (leaving empty slot 7 instead of slot 5), removed the MAX Database and start the computer.  MAX has recognized all four cards, as expected from previous experience.  After the restart, MAX continued to report all such cards as detected.  The table below shows the failure and the working configuration, including details of the bus of each slot.  With this configuration work, our software detects and uses the four cards.

The problem occurs when you perform a Wizard for easy transfer to a computer that was Symantec Endpoint Protection installed to one without him.

    Answer, copypasted:

Inspect the key mentioned above - that is of HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\RasMan\PPP\EAP.

In each of the number keys look something like ConfigPathBackup and its corresponding ConfigPath - there are a number of them.

For each, I deleted the original key (e.g., ConfigPath) and restored the original by renaming ConfigPathBackup to ConfigPath

For each of them, the State is now restored to her pre State Symantec - each key pointed to a Symantec location that is no longer present and by restoring the path key backs up everything was fine
