I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 a and an IMAC running OS10.9.5.  Every time I have print something, (if it is the only print job) prints; However, it is not get deleted in the tail.  Therefore, all subsequent print jobs themselves that is held upwards in the queue and I have to go and manually remove the work done for others can print.  If more than one job in the print queue, I constantly go and remove each printed job.

    Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

Hello @RoninNC and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you use in the print queue problems.  I would like to help!

I suggest to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.

I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update

After the updates, I recommend the printer time: OS X v10.9 Mavericks: installing and using the printer on a Mac.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • XP Pro SP 3 firewall blocking UDP 137 and 138 even though exception "File and Print sharing" is selected

I am running XP Pro SP 3 on a working group. I'm trying to access the files from a Windows 7 machine on the same workgroup. But the XP firewall blocking UDP 137 and 138 even though exception "File and Print sharing" is selected. When I disable the XP firewall, all right.

I did some research on another site, and I came up with the FIX for this issue. It has to do with the node XP somehow getting ready to type "Peer-to-peer". I applied the fix in this article:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/903267

and the problem is now solved.

Please come back and let everyone know how you fixed the end!

However, the fact that this has happened and you don't know how concerned me (if it was my machine).

Here's what I propose for extra cleaning:

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in. Look for whatever it is you do not know usingGoogle (or ask here.) You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

  • Windows blocked key after installing a new video card and hard drive.

I got a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit edition since the early release, purchased through Newegg. Since then, I used it on my desktop, which I update regularly. I changed the hard drives, processors and cards video several times and reactivated without a problem, but this last Friday, I installed a new video card and the DSS, and when I went to activate windows told me that my key was blocked without any explanation. I can only assume that this is because I changed my hardware configuration. My copy of windows remained only on this computer over the years. Here are the results of MGADiag running on my system.

If there is any question about the legitimacy of my copy, I have the DVD, booklet, cases, cardboard sleeve he shipped initially and purchase of invoices from Newegg on the spot.

Ideally, Photoshop is the best answer.

But if you can save the PNG files with transparency you can easily design your own designs 'simple '.

Design any style 'Overlay' with transparency (Roses in my video screen), this applies to any print in the print as a graphical identity plate module.

  • Satellite A100 - 02 M: cannot open the local area network to share files and printer - LAN Unplugged

I have an office of another manufacturer which was connected by a wireless network via a Belkin router for a laptop another manufacturers - both running XP.

I have now replaced the other laptop with a laptop Toshiba Satellite A100 - 02 M under Vista Home Premium. While I can still access the Internet from both machines, I can't open the LAN to share files and printers. The laptop shows 'LAN Unplugged' all the time. Any ideas would be accepted with gratitude.

    Ray Freeman

    Hello

    I have no general solution, but I'll try to give some advice solution;
If you want to connect laptop with LAN cable both please make sure that you use a crossover ethernet cable.
In addition, check if the network card is properly recognized in Device Manager.

You could try updating the LAN driver and remove the NIC in Device Manager to update the installed driver.
After restarting again the operating system should recognize the new (Lan) device and should install it automatically.

  • When I print business cards, they print sometimes 1/4 too high, but not always.

I have my business cards in a Word document by using a template Avery. I used the same file for years. I never had a problem with my Canon printer, but after buying an HP Photosmart D110, I got nothing else problems. When I print, then they print approximately 1/4 in. too high ruin cardstock and waste. This happens not all the time. Sometimes I print and they are perfect but when I come back and print another, the problem returns. It is the same strain of the map that I have used for years and when it is inserted in the printer it doesn't matter if it's a single page or a stack of them. I tried the page preview before printing and the alignment is correct. I tried to print to PDF and then print the PDF, same problem. I try on the barrel and no problem. Only reason why I bought it was in the first place the cartridges were cheaper and I do a lot of color printing and scanning.  I just replaced the cartridges and did a head alignment is not the problem. I tried it with plain paper and the problem persists. I'm ready to give up anything to join your room and buy another Canon!

AuntieEm, thank you very much! It worked flawlessly! Hugs xoxoxo

    Hi Ron,

    1. how many printers is connected to the computer?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    3. what happens when you try to change printer (LPT1) port

    Method 1

See the link below and run them the fixit tool available, check if it helps.

    Problems printing and printing errors

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/printing_problems/en-us?EntryPoint=lightbox

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you restart the computer the print spooler service and check if it works.

A print spooler is a system service that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print.

To change or restart the print spooler service

You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

    (a) open administrative tools by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Administrative Tools.

    (b) double click Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (c) right click on the print spooler service, and then click Properties.

    (d) under the tab general , next to Startup type, make sure thatAutomatic is selected.

    (e) if the service is not already running, under Service status, click pie Sand then clickOK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    Hello

I'm having a few problems which I hope are fixable

first isadding a bluetooth printer - I have asked in the past two weeks, how to install an and got answers, but when I go into the Panel there is no link to click for bluetooth devices and I know there was in the past-is that I can download or reinstall somehow? can't use system restore because it never worked for me when I do a restore it gives an error message

I also want to take control of my computer as /owner administatrator or what it takes to make me able to activate or remove anything installed on my computer, I tried to do it through properties and some files / programs partially let me take over but others refuse me and give a message to the administrator to see or flatout saying permission denied and I want to change this

Thanks in advance for any help

With bluetooth, you can get in trouble with your device drivers, firmware and/or software.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you shouldget at least for the bluetooth device to the computer and the printer bluetooth (even though the devices appear to work OK) and all you have time to do - they help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  Once the device is properly installed (and any firmware or software as well as appropriate) appropriate for the device and your version of Vista, then it should automatically install the Bluetooth icon in the Device Manager (if is included in how it works - or he can place it elsewhere, depending on how it is programmed).  In any case, the camera and the printer (if set up properly) should work.

In this regard to permissions question is, Vista is a lot different than XP.  A LOT of folders and files are denied access even to administrators.  While this can sometimes be fixed individually with permissions or ownership, it cannot be changed on the whole.  There is no way to increase your administrator permissions to offer you the same level of access that you have had with XP.  It's just the way it was designed.

The following information about the ownership and permissions can help you in individual situations where you need access and are blocked:

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista:http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/. To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article:http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To solve this problem with folders, folders takeownership or the reader (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html. To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

    I hope this helps.

I am connected to the printer via the LAN. Another printer running Windows 7 doesn't have the same question.

When you attempt to print a job it appears in the print queue as "pending" but goes no further and finally blocks Word.

It has been printing successfully up until a month ago.

    The fixed!

I uninstalled all the drivers and software and ran the installation from scratch from the DVD. During the installation process, I went to the site and downloaded the Universal PCL6 Windows 8.1 driver 64 and installed. I set the default printer to the universal PCL6 and bingo - I can print several documents.

That tells me that the print driver for MFP M175 is down!

Without assistance from HP. I even called support via a phone that has pushed the being at Microsoft.

    Thanks for nothing HP
