Cartridge PSC1315 install mess

It was time for a new series of cartridges.   I caught the pair and start to realize that I put the #58 in the wrong place on the left.  It was normal, but now I can't get it back.  I certainly don't want to crack the door, but how to make the #58 out of the left slot?

Thank you

Take a look at the remaining cartrdige.  At the top near the front is a ridge of plastic designed to keep the install cartridge into the slot in the wrong.  If the cartrdige is engaged in the slot badly this Ridge can prevent the cartridge come off, as you can see.  You may be able to release the cartridge by slowly dragging a blunt knife (or the rear handle of a spoon or fork) between the top of the cartridge and carrier, then applying a prying force to push the lower cartridge to release the lock.  The cartridge can be removed.

    Hello

The first thing that you want to make sure of is that, in fact, having the right cartridge for this printer. If you are sure that the cartridge is compatible, I'd go to the Dell site and download the latest drivers directly on the site.

I hope this helps. Just reply to the results.

  • New cartridge is installed, immediately remove and reinstall

I just installed a new yellow cartridge in my HP Photosmart 5514.  Without printing anything, I pulled it out (thinking that I had installed the wrong color necessary) and checked the levels of supply.  I need the yellow and I reinstalled it.  I went back to check the power level after the installation and without printing anything, the chart of supply showed about 1/8th of the level down.  A new... why cartridge?

It has some ink used when a cartridge is installed in the printhead of "first."  By removing and reinserting the printhead, you caused this process repeats, which may have caused the ink level indicator down with one click.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910 a: the printer screen is locked on the "new cartridge HP installed.

I tried powering off the printer and reinsert the cartridge several times as suggested. Printer will print from the computer or scan using the computer, but without the homescreen on the printer, you can make a copy or send a fax.

OK by tapping on the screen of the printer does nothing. It should go to the home screen.

The Firmware installed in the printer is LRP1FN1231AR

Just turn off the printer has not solved the problem. I tried severasl times.  I tried a variant and it worked.  I replaced the 2 with the 'old' new ink cartridges. A new message appeared on the screen indicating that the cartridges were more ink.  I then reinstalled the cartridges 'new '. and received a message that "used cartridges have been installed. I then put off the printer using the procedure by the Doc and it worked. After the printer on the home screen appears allowing all features (copy, scan, fax and Apps) to work.  I printed a few pages in color before trying this, so my new cartridges have been used.

  • cartridge not installed correctly

I have a deskjet d1660 using win xp.  Just tried to install a new hp 60 xl black tri color cartridge.  Black was ok but the color shows installed incorrectly.  I've deleted and reinstalled and even put in another new basket. same thing.  Put old cart. back in it and connected showed the low ink level.  Put back in and cart. not installed properly again.  Cartridges would be bad.  They are the new hp cart. Wal-Mart today.

The cartridges might have themselves a problem. For cartridge location errors, there is a document to help resolve the issue here.

If the cartridge (s) is/is new, you need to contact HP Technical Support on a possible replacement of the cartridge.

  • How do you get around the use of the introductory cartridges when installing?

I got a co-worker that has never been used or installed a printer.  I changed the cartridges, and now I'm trying to install it I can't past the "wrong cartridge" message on the screen.  How can I get around that to install the printer.  It is a photosmart C7280 printer.

I don't think you can.  The 'starter' cartridges are partially designed to regionalize the printer (THE USA or Japan, etc.)

I think that if you call HP (1-800-HP INVENT), they can reset that, but I'm not 100% sure on that

My printer was purchased just 20/07/15 and I get the same error message over and over again. When I look at the app, it says that K cartridge is damaged and replace it. I have 2 cartridges, it came with and I do not see K cartridge. He came wth 62 HP black and 62 HP Tri-Color?

If I open the cover and close the bottle about 4 times, it is loke it he fine and will be printed in a very light color of the original (photo). After that 1 print it then displays the same error message! Anyone has any ideas how to fix or simply return?

    Hi jb1112,

  • Error "Incorrect print cartridge" psc1315, although his new and right!

  • Misalignment cartridge after installing new cartridge

On my J6480, the black print cartridge ink level was very low, so that impressions and copies were very poor. I do most of my copy in black, while during printing I use color. So I ordered another cartridge 74xl black and just to have a backup of color also decided to order another cartridge three-color 75xl. The current tricolor cartridge ink level went made just for the cartridge was still about 85% or more, then the black cartridge was approximately 15% or more before I replaced it.

After getting my new black cartridge, I took the old one and put in the new. Then the printer ran on the new cartrdige alignment and alignment does not! After trying a few times I have replaced the old cartridge Habs, even if the Panel showed it to about 85%, the with a new and now alignment succeeded.

Why would be to have an alignment to fail completely new black print cartridge, even with a tricolor cartrdige always at a fairly high level? The former Habs is still usable? Should I try to clean it and reuse it? I looked at my old tricolor cartridge contacts and they seemed fine. No idea why put in a new black cartridge fails with an old tricolor cartridge alignment, even if the control panel command shows the level of the Tricolor cartridge is high enough, would be appreciated.

The alignment will fail if the colour and black cartridges will not print correctly.  I suggest you put the old cartridge in and then print a page of diagnosis as on the Six Solution of the document here.  If the color bars do not print correctly the steps described in this document can help solve the problem.

Do not replace the Ribbon on regardless of the color cartridge, you let the printer, as this would cause a color mixture that will ruin the cartridge.  If you don't have a cartridge door, then store it as described in this document.

  • OfficeJet 4630: Formerly Geniune HP cartridges installed

    Hello

Last week, I brought color and black cartridges. Installed the two today back a few minutes, but got previously "used Geniune HP cartridges installed, this message is only for the color cartridge. Do I need to worry? What is this message about? Why do we say "already used"?

    Hi @RameshRK,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your request message.

I understand that you have a HP Officejet 4630 e-all-in-one printer you bought a cartridge of black and tri-color and when you put them in the printer, it is said that the Tricolor cartridge has been used previously. I would like to help with that.

The message is intended to indicate reloaded or counterfeit ink cartridges, but it can also occur when a genuine HP cartridge is depleted or nearly depleted.

The error message "used, done or false detected cartridge ' refers to rate of rewards. HP Rewards are available when you install a genuine HP cartridge. If you receive this message long after you have installed a new cartridge, you can ignore.

Here is a document of support that can help you with the message "Already used genuine HP cartridges installed" - "used or false detected cartridge" or "False Advisory cartridge" Message is displayed.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • New print cartridge HP 920 50% full when it is installed.

I bought a new HP Certified 920 CYAN cartridge and installed. Immediately after (without printing what whatsoever), I checked the State of INK to find CYAN showed 50%. Others were 100%.

What HP we short-circuit on ink? It's expensive to start.  What recourse I have. .

The printer is an officejet 6500 a.  When it is turned off then on again the status remained the same. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled nothing doesn't.

I returned all three Office Depot cartridges for an Exchange because they had to share a similar purchase for a similar purchase. Dose't make sence but that this is politics, and I think that HP has to pay the price.

The new cartridges were installed and EVERYTHING recorded 99-100% full.

  • LaserJet 2420dn: LaserJet 2420dn - install black cartridge

    Hello!

I replaced the cartridge in a LaserJet 2420dn, and the printer seems to recognize the replacement cartridge, but after a bit, a message is displayed on the control screen, "install black cartridge". At first, I tried to install a used cartridge (not worn), which had been installed in a 2430dtn. Then, I tried a new cartridge with the same result.

With a quick search, I found the following recommendation for this problem:

    • Remove the left cover and inspect lever of Earth.
    • Reinstall the grounding contact lever hinge on chassis and attach it to the chassis using a cable tie.

I removed the left cover on the 2420dn and ground contact lever / the Assembly seems to be in order. I also removed the left cover on the 2430dtn in comparison. With the left cover removed, I removed and installed several different cartridges and observed ground contact - he seems to bring a strong connection to one of the installed cartridges.

If I re - install the cartridge originally installed (has little remaining life), the cartridge is correctly recognized and I can print. All other cartridges I tried to cause the message "install the black print cartridge.

The 2420dn has available, latest firmware 08_120_4.

    A few questions:

Any ideas what can cause this and what is a good troubleshooting step or eliminate sources of problem?

When a cartridge is installed on a printer, the printer stores whatever it is in the memory of the cartridge that can "lock" on the specific printer cartridge? I've never heard of this and I don't really think that's what is going on here (I also tried a new cartridge), but had to ask... :-)

    Thank you!

Have you tried a new OEM toner cartridge... If all else fails and you have the option to keep the printer even when the toner reads as empty, then simply move the chip of the old toner which seems to work correctly in a new toner and see if the new toner works now...

I tried a cartridge oem HP brand new (Q6511x). I had to break the plastic tab and remove the plastic "Ribbon". I also moved the the cartridge chip non - oem (almost worn) who has always worked, to the oem cartridge. This made no difference - oem new cartridge still does not work. I've already tried several cartridges, including a new non - oem MICR cartridge. Just by Visual inspection non - oem and oem cartridges, I am baffled why one works and the other does not. The cartridges look almost identical structurally. As previously stated, I have observed several installed cartridges with the left cover is removed and the contact of the ground seems to be a solid connection for each cartridge.

After application of a cable tie fix, I tested the new cartridge oem with its original chip, with success. I used the quantity 3, clamps "Garland". For anyone else similar/identical symptoms, I do no guarantee that it is the best way to implement a fix of cable tie or that this will solve the problems you are having. But I hope that someone finds it useful. See the photos below.
