My Pavilion P6330f lost the internal network adapter (no internet connection, adapter are not not in Device Manager).  Is it possible to re-restore/refresh it?  I tried to do a scan to refresh hardware, but it doesn't show any internal network adapter.

I was able to get back on the network by installing a wireless network adapter via the disk support provided with the wireless USB device and using Device Manager.

It seems that the internal NETWORK adapter has gone (fried) and I need to install a new NETWORK adapter in one of the expansion slots.  Other options?

    Is this a common problem?

    D.

No, it is not common, unless your home has experienced a surge\dropout of power or a bolt of lightning. What you are experiencing, this is usually the result of thet.

Since your office worked five years ago, he certainly provided you a reliable service. You might consider looking for a PC replacement in 2015. SCP last usually about five years before replacement is required.

Wireless, it's that a good option as no extra wire is a good thing.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD

.. .i reinstalled the operating system and the drive of dvd/cd rom works for the installation of the operating system, but once it has fully installed the cd/dvd rom drive isn't even appear in Device Manager and it wont even open after the OS is completely booted!

I also tried the regedit solution, but I have no upper or lower filters...

    I use a hp dv6815nr! Help, please!

    Very respectfully,.

    GK07

I thought I had posted the solution.  The upper and lower filters need to be refreshed.  Here is a solution I found on the Adobe forums. http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/402/kb402306.html

Refresh the CD and DVD drivers list in the Windows registry.

Warning: The registry contains information on the system that are critical to your computer and applications. Before editing the registry, be sure to make a backup of it. Adobe does not provide support for problems that result from incorrectly modifying the registry. Adobe strongly recommends that you have experience editing system files before you modify the registry. For more information on the Windows Registry Editor, see the Windows documentation or contact Microsoft Technical Support.

To refresh the CD and DVD drivers list in the Windows registry:

Important: After you refresh the list of drivers in the Windows registry, you may need to reinstall any other CD or DVD on your computer to write applications. If you restart Windows after this procedure and other burning CD or DVD applications do not recognize the CD or DVD drive, and then reinstall those applications.

    1. Uninstall your Adobe application.
    2. Open the Registry Editor:
      • On Windows 2000 and XP: click Start > run. Type regedit in the box text open, and then click OK.
      • On Windows Vista: Click Start. Type regedit in the search text box, and then press ENTER.
    3. In the left pane of the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class and select the {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} key, which appears as a folder.
    4. Select file > export (Windows XP and Vista) or registry > export a file from the registry (Windows 2000).
    5. In the export registry file dialog box, select the branch selected under export range, name the file (for example, CDDVDkey.reg) and click Save to save the file to the desktop.
    6. In the Panel to the right of the registry editor, select the LowerFilters line, and then choose the editing command > delete. Click Yes in the dialog box confirm deleting key.
    7. Select the UpperFilters line, and then choose the editing command > delete. Click Yes in the dialog box confirm deleting key.
    8. Close the registry editor.
    9. Open the Device Manager:
      • On Windows 2000 and XP: click Start > Control Panel. Double-click the system icon, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
      • On Windows Vista: Click Start > Control Panel, double-click System, and then click Device Manager in the task pane.
    10. Click on the symbol more then to CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives.
    11. For each listed DVD-ROM or CD-ROM drive, select the icon then choose Action > uninstall.
    12. Restart Windows.
    13. Windows will automatically detect and reinstall your CD-ROM or DVD - ROM drives. You can check that the drives are installed in the device (see step 9) Manager. If the drives are not present, open Device Manager and choose Actions > Scan for hardware changes.
    14. Reinstall your Adobe application.
    15. Restart Windows.

Important: If this solution doesn't solve the problem with the application you reinstalled, then you must restore the CD and DVD drivers list in the Windows registry.

To restore the exported CD and DVD drivers list:

    1. Double-click the registry key that you exported.
    2. Close the registry editor.
    3. Restart Windows.

  • NO CD/DVD drive on Device Manager

Made sure I'm looking for the previous post with problems similar to mine before I post this question.

CD/DVD drive does not appear on the Device Manager.  It does not show as well as the disk management and workstation.  The door of the status bar will not be open except when I use a needle through a pinhole to open it manually.   When I put a disc, it does nothing.  I did system restore, delete Upperfilter and UpperFilter, run malware and Avira under safe mode as others have recommended here, nothing is.
I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop (Windows Vista Home Premium 32).
This all started when I downloaded an accession of software drivers.  I regret it now.
I'm desperate and cannot afford to buy a new computer right now.   I feel like the only hope is to open my laptop but I'm afraid I'll do damage OVER I don't know what to do after I do it.
    Please help me.

  • Bluetooth radio not in Device Manager

I recently bought a HP envy 15-j063ei and a clean installed Windows 8 for windows 8.1.

I remember the bluetooth works on the original OS. Now it does not even appear as a unit installed bluetooth, there is nothing obvious in the Device Manager even by there is a FCC ID in the Bios and the original specifications ay that a bluetooth radio is present in the laptop.

I have installed all three bluetooth http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=za&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5393... drivers driver quallcom said something, of not being able to detect the bluetooth device.

    Thank you

    Hello:

I see what you mean... I see no BT device category, or even a unit in need of a driver.

However it would be the Bluetooth driver and software you need for the card Ralink WiFi your model has.

    Thank you very much

    Owen

    Hello

Usually, if you have a laptop wireless switch should have a wireless LAN card too. In your case I would try to install the driver. Then the WLAn card should appear correctly in Device Manager:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

If that doesn t work, you can try a BIOS update.

Are you running the factory settings or you have installed your own version of Windows?

  • Satellite L30 - Wifi card not in Device Manager

I recently had to reinstall windows vista (32 bit) on this Satellite L30, all other disks installed correctly, apart from the internal wifi driver, I tried loads of different on the toshiba site, and none of them invite the wifi card to operate. \like as I say, the card does not appear in Device Manager or when I run everest, but assured me that this particular model has built in wifi and Yes, I have the switch on the front running.

    any ideas?

Did you buy this laptop as used a brand new?
Wireless network card is built in or not?
Remove the bottom WIFI coverage and check if the wireless card is inside.

If the wireless card is inside and you can not install the situation should be clear. What do you think about this?

I bought toshiba Satellite A210-1AO part number: PSAELE-03Q009G3 with Windows Vista Home Premium.
There are a lot of unwanted software from toshiba (bloatware) and I wanted a clen of OS windows vista installation, so I downloaded all the drivers from toshiba europe web site and update bios version 1.90.

I installed vista and the driver necessary, video, recorder, bluetooth monitor, flash media... I realized that this modem is not listed, when I try to install modem driver progress bar if poster and work until the end and then disappear but modem is not listed in Device Manager.
After many tests modem is still not present or detected by the operating system.

Mention that I have not any exclamation point in Device Manager and all devices are installed.
I tried to go back to the old State with toshiba recovery cd and's done it without problem but modem is not present in that too much. BIOS does not include an option to turn on or turn off the modem, so I don't know if it's the new 1.90 bios problem or what?
Else this medication works very well.

How to activate the modem? modem port is of course present.

Are you 101% sure that you see the modem in Device Manager?

I have a 10Y A210 and in Device Manager, the modem is listed below the mouse and other pointing devices.

  • Re: Satellite U400 - LAN card are not not in Device Manager

    Hello

I never used to connect to the local network via an ethernet cable on my laptop because I aways used a wireless connection.

Today I plugged in the ethernet cable and windows were not detected. And when I open the login window, there is only PAN connection bluetooth and Wi - Fi
    ([see photo | http://img15.imageshack.us/i/digitalizovaq.jpg/])

So, I thought that the pilot was missing. Then I reinstalled the drivers from the website of Toshiba for LAN. drivers do not have helped me.
When I look in Device Manager, I can not find my LAN card. It does not appear there. Only bluetooth PAN network card and wireless network card.
    ([see photo | http://img18.imageshack.us/i/digitalizova.jpg/])

    Any ideas how to fix?

    Hello!

I don't know m but on some BIOS you can enable/disable the network adapter. Did you check that?
In addition I recommend you load the default settings in the BIOS. Maybe it works.

And have you ever tried a BIOS update? You can find it on the Toshiba site.

In the worst case, it s a hardware malfunction of the NIC or motherboard and must be replaced :(

  • C850-1JV Windows XP satellite card its not in Device Manager?

    Hello

However, I done a workaround for my laptop and installed a dual boot system with windows xp and 7 - xp for my audio productive work and 7 for the rest.

XP was a bit problematic, because there is only some drivers only offered by Toshiba.
So I searched, loaded and installed all but a (simple) 'PCI-Kommunikationscontroller' (don't know the exact translation and has decided to maintain the German designation given by my OS) with the hardware ID PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_1E3A & SUBSYS_FB311179 & REV_04 and totally lack of the sound card.

The second fact is the worst for me, because it's a basic function I need.

I tried to install the Realtek HD Audio WDM_R2.73 - installation rail drivers, xp wants to restart, and then there is no card present.

The system is Windows XP 32-bit SP3, if that's relevant.

    Hello

You have the latest model cell phone which was offered with Win8 pre-installed 64 bit. Windows XP Home edition is not supported for older models or so I don't think that you will be able to find a driver Windows XP Home edition.

What you can try is to check the sound card manufacturer's website. Chip the soundcard on your machine is VB6-ALC269Q-GR of Realtek, according to me, try so googled around. Maybe you'll find somewhere.
Although I think that hardware manufacturers provide no support WXP for a long time now. Material standards are changed since Vista launch, and there is no support more.

I just hope that you have created a recovery media until you started to install Win7 and WXP.
