How to merge thunderbird profiles

for various reasons, I use 2 TB profiles. Now I want to use only one profile. My main goal is to merge the records of e-mail from one profile to another, preferably the default profile.
How can I do this?
Thank you

You have the same set up of accounts in two profiles? Then you can simply use this add-on and import your mail from the other profile.

  • can I block old thunderbird profiles to get new messages

I use profiles, multiple profiles after obtaining new computers. Each profile has several accounts (same accounts) but different date ranges. I'm organizing e-mails by what pc was more in use during a given period of time. so I have 3 profiles and they seem to work OK. But I only started the 'old' and saw that it was working but get new messages - I don't want to mail in the old accounts/profiles. They are just there to give a historic help if I need old information. My new profile becomes new mail OK.

can I block the old thunderbird profiles to get new messages? How? I would like to block them without
have to 'use' / open them so that the process of fundraising mail clutter them with new messages.

Use command line arguments to start Thunderbird http://kb.mozillazine.org/Command_line_arguments_%28Thunderbird%29 offline and then disable the setting in the account setting > server settings re check the emails start and over a given time interval. But by using an argument of command line to start in offline mode and specify the profile to use forge probably the the easist and fear that difficult to maintain.

Export actually mail using the import export tools https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/ and import all e-mail messages in a single profile would probably be the best approach really.

  • Can W7 \64 bit\FF42.0\How I move the profiles?

Everything seems to work perfectly. But I realized that I should be able to find how to move my profile to another drive on my computer somewhere in the profile itself. I've looked everywhere I can think of and can't find this info. If you can tell me where it is, maybe I can manage. But if not, can you tell me how to move the profiles? My os is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I am running Firefox 42.0. Your guesses are all correct, except that I'm not sure about the plugin from Adobe. Thanks for any help.

You can use the Profile Manager to create a new profile on a different hard drive folder by clicking on the button "choose a folder.
Be sure to select a new empty file and not a folder that already contains files.

You can transfer files from the current profile folder to this folder.

MBX is an electronic file created by Microsoft Outlook Express format. Thunderbird uses mbox (without a file extension) for mail storage.

    Simply delete them.

    Hello

With the software Photo how to merge two albums? Thank you.

In the Photo Albums are logically the organizational elements - to merge the 2 albums of Photos you open one, just select and then drag photos to the album of target - then delete them from the source album

If you call your photo library an album there is no way to merge libraries - you can merge pictures is of two libraries and most of their metadata by downloading each to iCloud photo library or by using PowerPhotos

  • The file "global-messages-db' in Thunderbird profiles serves any purpose - I can delete?

The file "global-messages-db' in Thunderbird profiles - is very large and seems to reproduce what is in (or was) of the mail files. This is a very large file - what are the consequences if I delete it? Can I remove it safely?
    Thank you, David

Thunderbird doesn't have to run everything by doing anything in profile files.

The global-messages-db file may be deleted.
Thunderbird will create a new one.
When you perform a search, it will be be repopulated with data.
    More information:

When you have restarted Thunderbird, make sure that you compact all folders first to remove all traces of emails of "marked as deleted" hidden.

  • A virus had attached to an email that I never opened, and it deleted my email Thunderbird profile! Is it possible to get it back? It's urgent!

A Trojan virus attached to an e-mail that I never opened, but it was in my window, that I scrolled my emails as well as the other emails. I don't remember to open it, but if I did I would NEVER open an attachment, not even people I know, unless I'm expecting something! In any case, my virus scanner caught, but he did nothing on this subject. I ended up finding the folder named 'Profile' which contained the virus. I am sure of that. I removed it, because I could not disinfect or he quarantine a reason any. He has apparently removed my Thunderbird profile, so I can't access my email account when I click on the shortcut for the Office Thunderbird on my Windows screen. Please help. I don't know what to do, but I need to access my emails for invoices, etc..

    Thank you
    John

but it was in my window, that I scrolled my emails

    What does that mean?

    My caught virus scanner

Your "virus scanner" is not supposed to analyze your file for Thunderbird profiles in the first place.

    I deleted it

Not a smart move. With the profile you deleted also all your accounts and mail.

I removed it, because I could not disinfect or quarantine it

There is no need of this. A malicious attachment will no damage to your computer as long as you don't try to open or run it.

I don't know what to do

You still have the file deleted in the trash? You can try to login to your account via webmail and check if there are still messages on the server.

For the future, create backups of your profile on a regular basis folder.

Help. How to configure Thunderbird to receive both my email accounts that are through a server?

It seems that it works if you are wanting to have more than one 'account '.

HOWEVER, I wanted to add a 4th e-mail address 3 I already had and worked very well. That of what I did and voila! It worked. It is the path: Tools-> Options-> Security-> passwords-> Saved going on-> show passwords go there and keep it open while you
try to send an email from your new address. A message appears saying that password has failed, I had to insert a password. While information appears automatically in the list on the chart you have open. Of course you need to add this new email address to your list first.
