How can I stop after a slide and require a next button to continue?
In collaboration with CP5 for Mac. I have therefore about five slides with a voiceover narration. I can't understand how to make the whole show stops when a slide is over and require the user to press the button forward to start at the next slide. I am using the PlayBar Captivate provides, which I tweaked in the skin Editor (changed colors for most). Looks like it should be easy, but miss me where this setting is. I clicked on the slide in the timeline panel and then in the Actions pane, I chose "No Action" on the output. It has been previously set to 'Go to the next slide.'

Captivate the default behavior is to read the content as if it were a movie. If you want to stop, you need to force it to do by clicking on the button pause on the playback bar, or you can set to stop at some point by adding an interactive object such as a click box or the key to the chronology of Captivate and dragging the point of break for this object. My Windows Vista recently blue armored to Midway through the boot process, see the details of technical error following:
STOP: 0X0000008E (0C 0000005, 0 X 00000000, 0XB71D5A48, 0X00000000)
The error always appears during startup in normal mode (i.e. after the entry are the PW Windows and during the loading of the incons office etc.). My machine never blue armored in safe mode.
Don't know if it is a hardware or software error, I did a restore of the system for three weeks before.
The system seems to work fine now.
All hunch that it was a mistake to orsoftware material? What can I do to avoid blue screen in the future?

I have a HP computer with Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) Service Pack 2. He has a VISX PureTV tuner card and already had an NVidia GeForce 8400 graphics card. This Setup has worked well for 2.5 years until what the graphics card died last week. It has been replaced with an ATI Radeon HD3450 and both all Windows updates have made current. Since that time, the TV tuner did not work.
When you sign in to an account, it gives the error message "Windows Media Center Receiver Service stopped working and was closed". I can use Media Center to watch the recorded video before, but if I try to watch live TV he hangs up and close Media Center. Well, I finally stumbled into the solution. It was caused by a conflict with another application.
A few weeks before the card failure I had installed a program called video capture Replay Video Capture that I had bought a few months ago and never used. However, at this time where everything including the TV tuner and Media Center worked well that's why I associate the problem with this software. The problem comes after the system is rebooted the first time after installation. Step 1: Sfc scanner to find and repair corrupt system files.
1. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
2. type the following command and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

Step 2: If the problem persists, perform the clean boot to find out what is causing the problem.

Display driver stopped responding and has recovered the problem
I got a Dell Inspiron M5040 with Windows 7 for Christmas 2011 and I started to use Windows Live Movie Maker, but whenever I get in the middle of editing a video, the screen went black for about a second and says "display driver stopped responding and recovered." The first time this error message has occurred, the laptop computer itself restarted and is went to a blue screen with the text, telling me to go into some sort of 'safe mode' (I couldn't read the text in time). I have all the latest drivers, my laptop is new, only yesterday lit.
What can I do about it? I really want to use Movie Maker. I'm new to the Forum, so I hope someone help me. Thank you very much. Any help is appreciated.

What you see is called the action process.in TDR (Timeout, recovery of the display).
In earlier versions of windows when the display device ran out of resources throughout the system would stop responding which would require a reboot to recover.
In Windows 7, if the display device is not responding, the system will try to stop and restart the device to recover.

The most common reason for this problem is that the display device is overloaded or used beyond its capabilities.
This happens more often when reading graphic intensive games, but can occur with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, such as you see when you edit or create videos.
What you can do to avoid these problems:
1. only this type of procedure when the laptop is connected to a source ca.
2. in prior to starting video editing, restart the computer.
3. close all other running programs to ensure that all graphics resources are available for video editing.

Here is the explanation for the TDR component. This was introduced in Windows Vista.
What is a TDR? Windows Vista has a new feature called detection time and recovery (TDR). TDR tries to detect problematic situations and retrieve dynamically to a functional desktop. In operating systems earlier these situations would have led to a freezing of the system and forced customers to restart their PC.

Therefore, when you see the error message TDR "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered", you know that the display driver is reset without requiring a reboot.

I've seen other posts on this topic. Nothing seems to work, so I thought I would explain my situation.
The machine is new. Win7 64 bit company. The problem I see is that I try to load some versions of Visual Studio on the new machine. However, none of the discs auto-run using my local internal DVD drive. They all have a Readme file with the message "this disc contains a"UDF"file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346"UDF"file system specification."
I know that the discs are good, I used the on my old machine, and I can always use them on other machines I tested.
The real kicker here is that I can plug an external USB DVD drive... and then the local drive starts to read the installation discs! It's like making this action allows something else in the machine.
Also, I even restarted the machine mode of diagnosis (without external DVD drive attached)... and restart, the drive would read the installation discs. BUT when I do a full stop and then turn on the machine upward, the local drive gives me the same readme file. Again, it is as if something gets activated, and then reset to a complete stop.
I am at a loss of what to check then. Real head-scratcher, because I know the drive works and the machine can recognize the drive and even read installation discs.
I do not have the applications installed on the machine of DVD burning, so I don't think there is a conflict.
Any suggestions are welcome.
